The Japanese release date for the full-length anime film Blue Prison - Naga's Path - has been officially announced. April 19 2024 years and a new teaser is shown. The picture is a spin-off of the series "Blue Prison: Blue Lock", second season which was announced immediately after the final episode of the first part was shown, but so far without specific dates. Studio 8bit is still responsible for the release of the spin-off, which gave viewers a film adaptation of the series of visual novels “Still Life in Gray”, as well as several seasons of the anime “About My Reincarnation into Slime.” The plot of the expected anime film is based on the manga of the same name by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Kota Sannomiya, published in Bessatsu Shounen Magazine from June 9, 2022.
The original story revolves around the Blue Lock special project. The Japanese team suffered a crushing defeat at the 2018 World Cup, after which it was decided to create a strong striker who would guarantee Japan's victory. The director of the project was Jimpachi Ego, who gathers 300 talented young scorers in a special camp “Blue Prison”. There will be only one finalist, and the losers will be deprived of the opportunity to play football, so fierce competition will flare up among the participants. The spin-off focuses on Seishiro Nagi, a minor character in the main story, and shows his development as a football player. Judging by the trailer, viewers will see the beginning of his sports journey and meeting Reo Mikage.
