After the launch of the July beta version Honkai: StarRail 4.4 saw the first gameplay leaks of upcoming characters appear online. According to preliminary data, the update will emphasize hero pairings: the second wave of alien fighters will be most effective in squads with the first wave of characters. collabs with Fate/SN, and SP Navigator Himeko will work closely with the Star Express crew.
The animations and skill descriptions are not final and were obtained by insiders from closed beta files. They may be adjusted or changed by the developers before the patch is released.
Himeko Nova (Erudition: Fire) — the main damage dealer for squads with "Exploration Companions," which includes all the Nameless and their alternate forms. Her skill increases the team's damage, and her ultimate allows her to perform a turn with the Starblazer mech.
The girl's talents focus on supporting her allies and gradually increasing her overall power. For example, each "companion" has access to a special support skill that deals damage, significantly drains stamina, buffs Himeko herself, and grants an extra turn.
Rin Tohsaka (Erudition: Quantum) - signature partner for Archer Archer and a sub-DD for groups that actively spend skill points. The sorceress accumulates stacks of her enhanced skill as her allies spend SP, and when activated, she deals bounce damage to multiple targets and increases her own speed. Her ultimate restores skill points and increases damage taken by enemies. If Archer is in a party, his ultimate animation changes to a combined attack with Rin.
Gilgamesh (Destruction: Electric) — a sub-DD for teams based on super abilities and energy. The more often allies use their ultimate, the faster the warrior accumulates energy and stacks for the additional action. He deals damage with his skill and ultimate and significantly boosts the super abilities of other squad members. Works best with swordswoman Saber: it helps her restore energy, advances moves and has joint animations.
I absolutely loved them all) I was glad that Himeko's shoulders were covered, the character herself looks very stylish, beautiful, and strict, as do Rin and Gilgamesh. I've been loving the Faith universe for over 10 years now, and I'm glad they continued their collaboration this year. I hope it's enough for everything, because I couldn't miss Blade either...
Even Gilgamesh can't save Saber. Runs take 4-6 cycles. Archer, however, remains a Gigachild, but now with his spouse, he offers more comfortable and damaging gameplay. I think it's obvious where to invest here. Although the investment is already minimal. Just knock out Rin and you've got a pretty good endgame team.
By the way, a question. The article says that Rin's combo skill replaces Archer's ult. I watched a walkthrough here, and after the combo, Archer both ulted and ulted. How does this even work? Archer's ABC is extremely important to me.
It has mechanics similar to Joy and Bonus Attack. It just adds a combined attack with a separate skill.
I'm curious what shows you watched that show you have 4-6 cycles. In all the ones I've seen, the content is easily closed with a 0.
They went way overboard with the animations. Just imagine hitting some piggy bank. You split the sky, split reality in half, blew up the earth, and -10% HP...
So what was the point of going all out with the animation? It would have been better if they'd done it less pompously, so there wouldn't be any embarrassment after the results of such an attack...
That same traffic light will win.
Himeko fires an orbital laser without SP.
Welt is dragged into a black hole.
Sp wolf explodes pixel city with clown (non)bonus attack.
Cyrene blows up the planet with a bow shot.
Phaebido drops (on that very traffic light) another planet.
In my opinion, the only problem is the lack of mechanics and how choppy the animations are. I suspect they did it that way on purpose to avoid paying attention to the details.
It's like that with all games. Once the pathos starts, there's no turning back, only forward, increasingly reaching the point of absurdity. The audience demands spectacle and won't accept anything less. In JRPGs, such animations are generally classic, and ours is a twist on that.
At first, I was looking at Himeko, but after seeing the animations, I turned away. They weren't particularly appealing, even though they looked expensive and rich. But Rin intrigued me; I liked the combined attacks between both characters. I'd like to see these combined attacks developed further, although it does impose certain limitations.
Rin is pretty. The best girl for the best man. And by the way, she also has the best ship between characters in any X-rated game.
"Between the characters of Faith/Type Moon", yeah.
Fate is lucky that the universe was based on a novel and not a gacha)
Well, it's not just the novella, but the joint ult with Archer is already a reference to Ishtar from Grand Order.
