We look at key positions and directions. The summer location is getting ready for a random release.
Hello tankers! With you Wotpack and a review of a new map from the supertest in World of Tank - Sommar. Size 1000x1000, designed for random battles. The developers are waiting for feedback, but the first impressions of the players are rather negative. Let's not rush to conclusions and first take a closer look at the map.
Symbols
Zone 1
The only shelter for heavy tanks и slow tank destroyers, who have nowhere else to stumble on a location so open for shooting through art.
Zone 2
Strategically important part of the map, because the capture of this direction allows you to control the high ground and support allies in other zones. Maneuverable vehicles feel good here: light and medium tanks. There are practically no shelters and vegetation here, but there are plenty of hills from which you can play at the expense of IHP.
Decisive actions by a group of medium tanks can turn the outcome of the battle in their favor if they capture the hill.
Zone 3
You will have to fight for this hill in order to support the allies in the city. Here already there are shelters and vegetation, so you can play a little safer on lightly armored vehicles.
Zone 4
We have not yet introduced an all-terrain vehicle of the "amphibian" type, but if you know the paths, then you can sneak into the enemy rear unnoticed through a swampy area densely overgrown with tall grass.
Results
Map turned out open with many shots, therefore, it will be possible to hide from the ubiquitous self-propelled guns only in the city, and even then, not everywhere (if there are 3 artillery pieces in teams, then they can easily take control of all areas).
Judging by the main directions, Sommar resembles steps, since each position is located slightly higher than the previous one (starting from zone 2). It is in the second zone that it is planned so far main confrontation, because from there it is easier to capture the third zone and pinch opponents in the city.
But you should be more careful, as there is a high probability that some tank destroyers will sit near the respawn, from where you can control all directions when you defend (the outgoing opponents will be in full view).
