How to get the old key
After the Gommage episode, Gustave heads to Lumiere Harbor to celebrate the departure of Expedition 33 with his comrades. During the event, he will have the opportunity to chat with team members and his loved ones, as well as collect Festival Prize Tokens. These can be exchanged for various curiosities in the tents near the feast.
The first one you get after dialogue with Catherine and Lucien. To get 2 more tokens, you need to go through Antoine's Quiz и defeat Mael in a duel.
The festival tokens you obtain can be exchanged at the tents in the harbor. To get the old key, don't forget to talk to Colette before the dialogue with Gustave's students.
Why do you need an old key in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
The old key will be available to use after 20 hours of leisurely passage, when the expedition members reach Old Lumiere.
According to the item description, the key opens an old door. To find this location in the ruins of an abandoned city and use the quest item, get to the Expedition 42 flag and go down the slope towards the huge glowing sword. You will encounter Neurons on the way, deal with them and go through the arch on the right.
Continue along the right side until you reach a cliff with a stone pipe, on it will be a Shiny Chroma Catalyst. Go down inside through the gap in the building and unlock the grate with the old key.
Inside you will find the Rift Survivor's records, which may be the final ones to unlock. Follow the Trail achievements - Find 55 expedition logs.
