Parchments with spells are much rarer than weapons or consumables, so finding one can take a long time.
Where to find the Dream Scroll in Gothic 1 Remake
If you need an item to impress the Idol of Kadar, you don't have to look far—the cultists specialize in control magic and give out spells as a reward for quests.
What quests are awarded for?
The easiest way to get the spell is by completing a quest "The Gathering of the Marsh"It's given to you by Idol Oran, the grinder overseer. Collect the daily supply of herbs from the harvesters Balor and Vairan and bring them to Kor Galom. Afterwards, you can return to the guru to receive your reward.
In the residential cave of the New Camp you can meet the Idol of Khagan and take the quest from him "Swamp test"Sell 10 joints to mercenaries and bandits, and when you return to the cultist, you can choose one of three rewards:
- 100 pieces of ore;
- Help with joining the Brotherhood is the only known way to impress Idol of Tion;
- three spell scrolls to choose from.
We do not recommend taking the "Dream" scroll and ore for this quest if you plan to join the Brotherhood of Cultists.
In which chests can you find it?
The parchment with the spell, which Guru Oran is supposed to hand over, is in his chest in the hut under the eaves where the grinders are working. The chest is unlocked, and the contents can be stolen even during the day if one carefully sneaks into the dwelling.
Another box with the three desired items can be found in a cave in the orc territory near the Old Camp.
Southwest of the settlement walls, there's a gate guarded by two guards. Go through it into the gorge and follow the cliff to the left.
In the open area, immediately turn left and you'll see a passage between the rocks. Follow it to the end and loot the two chests.
If you decide to risk receiving a spell this way, try to avoid the monsters. The enemies in this area are very dangerous.
Finding other secret routes and valuables will help interactive map of the world.
Why do you need a dream scroll?
The spell can put any character to sleep. It's perfect for sneaking past guards or escaping an unequal fight. But at the beginning of the game, the first parchment you find is best. impress Kadar from the Swamp Camp, even if you don't plan on joining them. Where to find the Idol of Kadar

Don't cast the spell if Kadar has moved away from his usual location. Otherwise, the script might not work, and you'll have to find a new scroll.
If you spoke to Lester earlier in the Gothic remake, he might have told you that you can attract Kadar's attention with any Sleeper magic. However, you shouldn't try any other spells—the guru only responds to these.
