The Sanctuary of Humility has been desecrated by the black magic of the witch Hexa Marie, who seeks to disrupt the laws of nature and the balance in Crimson DesertThe sorceress sealed within the painting asks the hero to restore power to the device and remove the dark forces' control over it. How to start the quest "Fragments of Darkness"
This quest is part of Chapter 9, "The Sage of the Desert." In this quest chain, you'll read six tablets and complete the associated challenges.
Learn about the sanctuary
Examine the stone tablet to the right of Master Du's statue. This will initiate the "Hidden Witch" questline, the first of which is "Fragments of Darkness."
Travel to the small settlement of Tariv on the banks of the Denna. Most of it has been captured by Hexa Mari's minions, but there's no need to liberate the town. Climb to the top floor of the stone tower and speak with the sorceress in the painting.

Restore power to the Sanctuary of Humility
Reach the island southeast of the sorcerers' village and enter the ruins. Clay soldiers guard the area—don't waste time on them and head straight for the reactor, shrouded in purple mist. As you approach, a White Crow will appear and dispel the toxic haze.
To activate the ancient device, find the two missing components and install them in their proper places. Both cores are located in the main part of the ruins, north of the reactor:
