Tighnari in Genshin Impact [best build]🍃

How to build the Dendro Archer from the standard banner.

Tignari watches a firefly at night

In Genshin impact, Tighnari is a young botanist who chose the protection of Sumeru tropical forests as his calling. Armed with a bow and the Dendro Eye of the God, the forest guardian is always ready to help travelers in need or teach bandits in the forest of Avidya a lesson. The hero's abilities make him the main damage dealer playing off charged shots colored in his element.

Any build for the fox-eared youth is distinguished by an emphasis on elemental mastery in conjunction with crits, and attack power plays a supporting role. Such a set of main characteristics suggests that the hero should play in squads with Dendro reactions, using mainly Hydro and Electro characters as allies.

How to Get the Character

patch 3.0 banners

First appeared as an event hero in patch 3.0, where he could be obtained with an increased chance, and with 3.1 version he was added to the standard banner. To unlock constellations for the hero, you need to get copies of him.

To track new characters' releases and reruns, follow our banner schedule.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Tighnari should be built with an emphasis on his personal damage, which depends on EM and crits, to make him an attacking character with a long-range fighting style. He also has a Dendro element that can reveal and enhance both other elements and his own archer potential.

Among his strengths , it is worth noting:

  • Inexpensive ultimate - 40 energy, which has a fast recharge and attacks with homing arrows.
  • Highlights Sumeru specialties on the minimap.
  • Passive talents increase EM, which makes interaction with other elements more efficient.
  • Capable of constantly maintaining elemental status on enemies.
  • The elemental skill allows you to quickly gain a charge for an aimed shot, which makes the gameplay dynamic.
  • With ascension, Dendro damage increases.

Disadvantages:

  • In the sub-DD position, C4 is highly desirable, which allows you to buff the rest of the squad member' EM. It is not a minus for those who use the hero exclusively as a main-DD.
  • Additional arrows when activating an elemental skill and ult are homing, making it difficult to hit a specific target.
  • Only hits single targets.
  • Dendro only interacts with Pyro, Hydro, and Electro, which greatly limits his choice of partners.

Best Tighnari Builds in Genshin Impact

The build for Tighnari is done with an emphasis on the fact that he takes the role of a main-dd. All of his abilities are aimed at inflicting elemental damage and strengthening his own attacks. At the 4th constellation, he can also be a sub-dd (due EM buff for the squad), but not everyone will be able to get this const. Therefore, first of all, it is worth considering the hero as a main dd reactor, triggering reactions, or an applicator to impose Dendro status. In any case, he always plays from the interaction of different elements.

It is also worth noting that the hero's passive talents clearly indicate that EM is one of the most important stats for a hero. However, given that he occupies the main position in the squad, this stat must be balanced with ATK and crits.

In Genshin Impact, you can create the best build for Tighnari by selecting the right artifacts with suitable stats, choosing the right weapons, and adding allies with the best synergy to your squad. If you manage to find everything you need, the hero will become an excellent source of damage, ready to clear high-end content.

Recommended values:

  • Elemental Mastery: 250 and more.
  • Attack power: 1600 and more.
  • Crit Rate and Crit Damage: Ratio 1:2 (60 rate and 120 dmg) or higher.
  • Energy recharge: 125-130%. This stat is less relevant, since the ult is inexpensive (40 energy). If you have another green element hero, the value can be lowered, focusing on the previous stats.

These values are approximate, since the balance of stats can change depending on the character's squad and buffs. In addition, it is impossible not to take into account the randomness in artifacts, which is why it is almost impossible to find the perfect characteristics.

Top weapons

Weapons for Tighnari should be selected based on his role in the squad and gameplay. For example, if you want to focus on your own damage, you can use weapons to increase damage from charged shots. If you plan to play from reactions, bows to increase EM will do.

NameRarityBase statsPassive Effects
Hunter's Path⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Base stat:
44 ~ 542
Critical Hit Chance
9,6 ~ 44,1%
Grants a 12-24% bonus to elemental damage. Hitting with a charged shot grants the wearer the Tireless Hunt effect, increasing the power of aimed shots by 160-320% of EM. The effect lasts for 10 sec or 12 activations. Can occur no more than once every 1 sec.
Signature weapon is a top 1 bow, which is fully suited to the character's gameplay, and the main stat in the form of crit. chance allows you to focus more on crit. damage and elemental mastery in artifacts.
Aqua SimulacraAqua Simulacra
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Base stat:
44 ~ 542
Critical Damage
19,2% ~ 88,2%
Increases HP by 16%~32%. When there are enemies near the bow owner, the damage dealt increases by 20%~40%. The passive effect works even when the character is not on the battlefield.
Gives a lot of crits and increases the damage dealt. However, for the second one you need to be quite close to the opponents, which can be risky.

The First Great Magic⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Base stat:
46 ~ 608
Critical Damage
14.4% ~ 66.2%
Increases the damage of a charged shot by 16 %. Provides 1 level of Gimmick for each character of the same element in the squad as the equipped character (including the equipped character). For each character in a squad with a different element, grants 1 level of Theatrics. When the character has 1/2/3 and more levels of Gimmick, ATK increases by 16% / 32% / 48%. If they have 1/2/3 and more levels of Theatrics , their movement speed is increased by 4% / 7% / 10%.
Helps balance stats, makes it easier to dodge enemy attacks. Also increases the power of charged attacks, which form the basis of the hero's personal damage.
Astral Vulture's Crimson PlumageBase stat:
46 - 608
Critical Damage
14.4%-66.2%
Increases ATK by 24%-48% for 12 sec after activating Swirl. If the squad contains 1/2 or more characters with other elements, the power of the wielder's charged shots increases by 20%-40%/48%-96%, and their ult damage by 10%-20%/24%-48%.
An excellent option in the absence of a signature weapon.
Polar Star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Base stat:
46 ~ 608
Critical Hit Chance
7,2% ~ 33,1%
Damage from elemental skill and elemental burst is 12-24% higher. Each time a target is hit by a normal or charged shot, elemental skill and elemental burst, 1 level of the Ashen Nightstar effect is accumulated. The charge duration is 12 seconds. When accumulating 1-4 levels, the character's ATK increases by 10%-48% (at 1st awakening), respectively. Charges exist independently of each other.
A good alternative to signature weapons, giving a lot of ATK. However, the charged shot is not enhanced by the bow in any way.
Amos’ BowAmos’ Bow⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Base stat:
46 ~ 608
ATK
10,8% ~ 49,6%
Damage of normal and charged shots is increased by 12-24%. Every 0,1 seconds, the fired arrow receives +8-16%. This effect stacks up to 5 times.
The Archer plays off of charged shots, so the weapon is perfect for him. However, it doesn't provide any stats other than attack power.

Thundering Pulse
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Base stat:
46 ~ 608
Critical Damage
14,4% ~ 66,2%
Increases ATK by 20-40% and gives the effect of Thunder Emblem, which has 3 levels. At each level, damage increases by 12-24%, 24-48%, 40-80%. The Archer gets 1 emblem level in three cases:
  • When dealing a normal hit (lasts 5 sec).
  • When you turn on the elemental skill (valid for 10 seconds).
  • When the character's elemental energy is below 100%. If she recovers completely, the emblem will disappear.
Excellent base ATK, lots of crit damage, passive ATK boost - all this makes the bow a good alternative in the absence of other options. But it will not be able to implement the buff from emblem levels due to the fact that it only applies to regular unaimed shots.
Skyward HarpSkyward Harp⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Base stat:
48 ~ 674
Critical Hit Chance
4,8% ~ 22,1%
Increases critical damage by 20-40%. When hitting an enemy, there is a 60-100% chance to inflict 125% physical AoE with a small radius. The effect occurs once every 4-2 sec.
A very high base and a lot of crits will make it easier to balance stats and make it possible to gain more EM in artifacts.
Scion of the Blazing Sun⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Base stat:
44 - 565
Crit Rate
4,0-18,4%
Hitting an enemy with a charged shot will unleash a Sunfire Arrow that deals 60-120% damage of ATK. In addition, the target that received damage from the Sunfire Arrow is subject to the effect of the Heartsearer for 10 sec. The power of the charged shot under this effect is increased by 28-56%. A Sunfire Arrow has a chance to spawn 1 every 10 sec.
The best option among epic bows. Will give a critical chance and boost charges. The first part of the passive will not do much damage due to the fact that damage comes from elemental mastery, but the second will significantly strengthen the character.
Flower-Wreathed Feathers⭐⭐⭐⭐Base stat:
42 ~ 510
ATK
9%-41%
Reduces stamina consumption while flying by 15%. Increases damage of charged shots by 6/7,5/9/10,5/12% every 0,5 sec. This effect can stack up to 6 times and disappears 10 sec after exiting aiming mode.
The hero spends little time in aiming mode, but since the boost only resets after 10 seconds, he will be able to gain the maximum number of stacks and maintain them.
Elegy for the End Elegy for the End⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Base stat:
46 ~ 608
Energy recharge
12% ~ 55,1%
Increases Elemental Mastery by 60-120. If the bow owner hits an enemy with an ult or elemental skill, he receives one Sigil of Remembrance (occurs once every 0,2 sec, even if the character is not on the battlefield). After collecting 4 Sigils, they disappear and grant the nearest team members the effect of Millennial Movement: Farewell Song for 12 sec. Increases Elemental Mastery of allies by 100-200, and ATK by 20-40%. After activation, Sigils will not appear for another 20 sec. The effect does not stack with similar ones.
Not the best for Tighnari C0, but suitable for a sub-DD role with C4, so he can buff the team to mastery even more effectively.
Prototype CrescentPrototype Crescent⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Base stat:
42 ~ 510
ATK
 9% ~ 41,3%
Charged Shot hits on weak points increase movement speed by 10% and CA by 36-72% for 10 sec.
Free craftable weapon with good base and percentage ATK. At the 5th awakening, if the conditions of the passive effect are met, it can outperform some legendary bows in strength. However, it is not always possible to hit weak spots and not all enemies have them.
The StringlessThe Stringless⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Base stat:
42 ~ 510
Elemental Mastery
36 ~ 165
Damage of elemental skills and elemental bursts is increased by 24-48%.
Elemental skill and ult are the main source of hero damage. Bow has no conditions and consistently deals damage. Elemental mastery in the main stat is also not superfluous, but there may be problems with insufficient ATK. It is worth considering weapons for the support-dd position.
King's Squire⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Base stat:
41 ~ 454
ATK
12% ~ 55,1%
When using an elemental skill or an elemental burst, the character gains the effect of Teachings of the Forest, increasing EM by 60 for 12 sec. If the bow wielder leaves the battlefield, the effect disappears. When the effect ends, a random nearby enemy takes damage equal to 100% of ATK. This effect can occur once every 20 sec.
Free crafted weapon from Sumeru with ATK in the main stat and EM increase in the passive. The hero uses E and ult quite often, so the passive effect will work stably.
Ibis Piercer⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Base stat:
44 ~ 565
ATK
6% ~ 27,6%
When a charged attack hits a target, increases elemental mastery by 40/50/60/70/80 for 6 sec. This effect can stack up to 2 times and occurs every 0,5 sec.
A great free option if available. Can easily implement both the condition and the passive ability buff.
Hamayumi⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Base stat:
42 ~ 454
ATK
12% ~ 55,1%
Damage of normal shots is increased by 16-32%, and of charged shots by 12-24%. When the elemental energy bar is filled to 100%, the strength of the passive effect is also increased by 100%.
Crafted bow from Inazuma is a good addition for the hero in the role of DD. Increases the damage of charged attacks, which the character often uses, also gives a lot of ATK and has a good base. But it is worth considering that in this case, the ult will have to be neglected to trigger the last part of the passive and get 100% buff.
Slingshot⭐️⭐️⭐️Base stat:
38 ~ 354
Critical Hit Chance
6,8% ~ 31,2%
If a normal or charged arrow hits a target within 0.3 seconds of being fired, its damage is increased by 36/42/48/54/60%. Otherwise, it is reduced by 10%.
The best option for the start or in the absence of alternatives, as the defender of the forest plays from charged attacks and will receive a significant bonus to damage. The bow also gives a chance of crit, which is useful, for example, to trigger the Spread reaction.

Choosing Artifacts

The best artifacts for Tighnari are the sets with bonuses to elemental damage and EM, since most of the damage the character deals is Dendro and its interactions with other elements.

numberNameThe set isRarityEffects
1Deepwood Memories⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️2 Piece: +15% Dendro damage.
4 Piece: Hitting with an elemental skill or elemental burst reduces enemy Dendro resistance by 30% for 8 seconds. The effect works even if the character is not on the battlefield.
The best set if the hero is the only Dendro in the team. This way he can independently debuff the enemy on this element, increasing his own damage.
But if there are other heroes of the same element in the team, then it is better to give this set to them.
2Gilded Dreams⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️2 Piece: Elemental Mastery +80
4 Piece: For 8 sec. after trigerring an elemental reaction, the equipping character receives the following buffs, depending on the elements of their team members:
  • ATK +14% for each character with the same element.
  • EM +50 for each character with a different element.
Each of these buffs counts up to 3 characters. The effect can occur once every 8 sec. and triggers even if the wielder of the set is not on the battlefield.
EM is important because it allows for more efficient Elemental Reactions and provides a buff to Wreath Arrows and Ultimate. Additionally, the set provides an additional ATK boost for each Grass Element character.
3Wanderer's TroupeWanderer's Troupe⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️2 Piece: +80 to elemental mastery.
4 Piece: Increases the damage of a charged attack by 35% if the character uses a catalyst or ranged weapons.
Stable bonus to EM and increased damage from charged shots.
4Shimenawa's ReminiscenceShimenawa's Reminiscence⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️2 Piece: Increases attack power by 18%.
4 Piece: When using an elemental skill, if the character has 15 or more energy, he loses 15 energy and gains a 50% bonus to normal, charged, and plunging attack power for 10 seconds.
A controversial but working option that will significantly increase the damage from charges (after using E) in exchange for activating the ultimate.
5Marechaussee Hunter / Deepwood Memories⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️A combination of two sets to enhance normal attack damage. In this case, the ultimate does not receive any bonuses, so you need to maintain a good balance in stats.
6Gladiator’s Finale / Deepwood MemoriesGladiator’s Finale⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️2+2 build (instead of Gladiator, you can put Shimenawa and other artifacts with +ATK). It is recommended to use as a transitional option until you farm parts of the full Gilded Dream set.
7Resolution of Sojourner⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️A good set at the start of the game and can be used up to rank 45:
  • Increases attack power by 18%.
  • Increases crit chance of a charged attack by 30%.

Teams

The hero actively maintains Dendro status and, thanks to passive talents, has a good increase in damage from EM. Due to the element type, teams for Tighnari should include Electro, Hydro and Pyro characters, as well as heroes that can increase EM.

Recommended characters

Since he spends a lot of time on the battlefield, his team should have other sub-DDs and supports that passively attack the enemy and ensure the survival of the squad.

  • Kuki heals and can buff with her Millelith set. Electro resonance with Fischl.

Skills

All the hero's skills are aimed at dealing damageone way or another. The elemental skill creates a special field in which the archer receives enhancements for his charged shot, and the ult allows you to create a hail of arrows with elemental damage. Let's look at each ability in more detail.

Basic (Active) Skills

Check out the hero's skills used during combat:

Normal attack: The hero fires 4 shots without infusion at the nearest target.

Charged attack: Fills the arrowhead with elemental energy and deals increased damage. Depending on the duration of the charge, the effect of the aimed shot varies:

  1. Charge level 1 - releases an arrow filled with the power of flora.
  2. Charge level 2 - Fires a Wreath Arrow. After hitting, 4 Clusterbloom Arrows are created, which track nearby opponents automatically and fly to the nearest target.

With a plunging attack, fires a hail of arrows that deal physical damage over an area.

Throws a Vijnana Stormheart, dealing Dendro AoE and creating a Vijnana-Khanda Field. An illusion appears in the field, which distracts enemies and draws their fire.

The character also gets the effect Vijnana Suffusion, which:

  • Reduces the charge time of your Wreath Arrow by 2,4 seconds.
  • Fades when the skill ends, or after 3 Wreath Arrows have been fired.

Skill cooldown time: 12 seconds.

Combines the power of all seeds to fire 6 Tanglevine Shafts. They move to the nearest target and deal Dendro damage. Each arrow generates additional arrows when it hits a target.

Ult cooldown: 12 seconds. Energy consumption: 40

Passive Skills

Abilities that work constantly and do not require leveling:

TalentEffect
Encyclopedic Expertise Shows all Sumeru specialties on the mini-map.
Keen Sight When Tighnari fires a Wreath Arrow, he gains 50 Elemental Mastery for 4 sec.
Scholarly Blade Charged Attack and Fashioner's Tanglevine Shaft (Ultimate) damage is increased by 0,06% for every point of Tighnari's Elemental Mastery. The damage received in this way cannot be higher than 60%.

Talent Leveling Order

Basic Attack (LMB) = Elemental Burst (Q) > Elemental Skill (E)

When upgrading skills, it is recommended to level all of them side-by-side to 6. Then, we focus on Khanda Barrier-Buster and Fashioner's Tanglevine Shaft, improving them to maximum. Elemental Skillis leveled at the very end to 8 or higher if necessary.

Constellations

numberNameEffects
1Beginnings Determined at the RootsIncreases crit chance for Tighnari's Charged Attack by 15%.
2Origins Known From the StemWhen there are opponents in the field created by the elemental skill, Tighnari's Dendro damage is increased by 20%. After the field fades or if there are no enemies in it, the effect will last for another 6 seconds.
3Fortunes Read Amongst the BranchesIncreases elemental burst level by 3.
Max. level: 15
4Withering Glimpsed in the LeavesAfter activating the ultimate, elemental mastery of all nearby team members is increased by 60 for 8 sec. If the Fashioner's Tanglevine Shaft triggers the reactions of Burning (Pyro + Dendro), Bloom (Hydro + Dendro), Quicken (Dendro + Electro), Spread (Dendro + Electro + Dendro), EM will increase by another 60, and the effect will be updated.
5Comprehension Amidst the FlowersIncreases elemental skill level by 3.
Max. level: 15
6Karma Adjudged From the Leaden FruitWreath Arrow's charging time is decreased by 0,9s, and will produce 150 additional Clusterbloom Arrow upon hit. This arrow deals XNUMX% of Tighnari's ATK as DMG.

Best constellations of Tighnari are C1 С2 and С4:

  • The first constellation increases critical hit chance for charged attacks by 15%. Can be very useful if there is a lack of this stat.
  • The second constellation boosts Dendro damage when using an elemental skill, allowing the character to deal even more damage with his aimed arrows. Good for a sub-dd/main-dd role.
  • The fourth constellation strengthens the forest ranger if he takes on the sub-dd role, allowing you to buff allies by 120 Elemental mastery.

How to play Tighnari

Tignari shoots a bow

Tighnari's abilities allow him to play off reactions with Electro, Hydro, and Pyro. The archer has different stages of his aimed shot: at level 2, he forms a Wreath arrow that fires homing projectiles. His Elemental Skill deals Dendro AoE and creates a field where Tighnari receives an effect that reduces the charge time of the Wreath Arrow by 2,4 seconds. Also, the field distracts enemies. Tighnari's Elemental burst is a hail of homing arrows that create copies of themselves when they hit enemies.

When playing Tighnari, it is recommended to use his elemental skill and charged shots first, attacking enemies and generating energy particles. His ultimate wraps up the combo, dealing massive damage when combined with other elements.

It is also worth considering that the hero has a passive talent that increases his EM after using Level 2 Charged Attack for 4 seconds. To maximize damage, the time between different Wreath arrows must not exceed this period.

Rotation

  1. Activate the skills of a character with another element and apply status.
  2. Switch to the archer and use his elemental skill.
  3. In the area of the field, we attack enemies with 3 Wreath arrows, increasing your own EM and buffing your next shot.
  4. Repeat steps 1-3 until the ultimate is charged.
  5. Activate the ult. It is desirable that the enemy has the status of another element at that moment.

In a separate article, you can read more about how all Dendro reactions work (with examples).

Is The Character Worth Pulling?

Tignari reached out to the green firefly.

Tighnariis a Dendro-DD and reactor with excellent potential. The character has passive talents thatscale his damage with EM, which allows him to effectively interact with other elements, creating reactions: Quicken, Burning, Bloom. His С4 gives the hero the opportunity to be a sub-dd (due to the EM buff for the squad), but not everyone can get this constellation, and as the main DD Tighnari shows himself much better.

Hello! There's a typo in your text. At the beginning of the article, the table says "patch 1.1," but later in the text, it says patch 3.1. I discovered this by accident. Have a nice day! :3

Guys, please tell me if Tignari will be playable in Burning (or Buds) with Mavuika in the sub-DD build with Tignari Mavuika, Sahorza Bennett, or Mona.
