In Search of the Ice Mirror Shard - A cave exploration quest in Genshin Impact, located south of the settlement of Svetloledovka. Clear passages of ice blocks and rescue Master Martos from captivity. Along the way, you'll complete a drifting challenge along an icy river, where you'll have to defend a "raft" from Hilichurl attacks.
How to start the quest
Access to Snow's mission in the cave opens after:
- receiving the 18th adventure rank or higher;
- completion of the stage Shots in the Land of Silence from the Archon chapter "Merciless Frost".
Head to the Queen's statue east of dungeon "Abandoned Shrine"Opposite it you will see the entrance to the grotto, where you will read someone's adventure notes.

Walkthrough for the Quest for the Ice Mirror Shard in Genshin Impact
From the diary you learn that its owner was heading to House of the Hesperides to meet Princess Pavlina, but a strong snowstorm prevented him from climbing the mountain.
Explore the cave
Near the notes and the Mora Chest, activate Kresnik's Torch to restore your heat energy. Afterward, approach the Eternal Ice and open the menu with the "T" key. "Review of Creatures" and clear the passage.
Pick up materials from regular chestFurther on, behind the glass, you'll see a luxurious treasure chest—you'll only be able to access it at the end of the mission.
Follow the only path. In the area of the small body of water, destroy the boulder to "free" Cryocule.
Ahead you will have to fight a group of monsters, for which you will receive exquisite chest.
Another oculus will be hovering on a hill above the next passage.
In this area, install a simple heat source (eternal ice x25, energy -40%). Once the block melts, you can collect the materials from regular box.
Rescue a man in an ice cave
After jumping from the elevated area, you'll hear a male voice asking for help. Remove the boulder behind which another one is hidden. regular chestThen climb up the wooden wall.
Once again, constructing a simple heat source, you will find yourself in a hidden passage in the cave where an exhausted young man sits.
Before approaching him, we recommend setting up your squad - choose a damage dealer with long-range attacks (for example, an archer) and put at least one healer/shielder.
Drift along the icy river to the shore
The ice floe won't be very strong, so you'll have to cross the rest of the way by water.
- There are floating powder kegs near some groups of Hilichurls. If you shoot them, the explosion will push them back—they'll fall into the water and die instantly.
- Along the way, try to dismantle chunks of eternal ice. Colliding with them won't damage the "raft," but its speed will noticeably decrease for a few seconds.
- For attacks from enemies you can't kill, simply dodge.

When you reach the blocked rich chest, jump onto land to fight.
Once you've received your reward, create a simple heat source to melt the ice.
If you place the device too close to the "raft," it will break. It's better to place the structure behind the boulder at the bottom.
After this, land on the shore and learn the story of Master Martos, who is heading to the estate of Princess Pavlina.
Rewards
The quest will be completed once you share your supplies with the young man. He will reward you with:

Don't rush to teleport out of the cave. From Martos' new haven, climb up the path until you reach luxury chest.
If you break the giant boulder, you'll open a passage to a chain mechanism. Set up your zipline to connect the chain. It will lead to a portal, a convenient place to continue the mission. Through the Ivory Gate.
