Zenless Zone Zero announces an agent from the Phaeton faction.

Belle and Weiss in front of Pyroes

A week after the official announcement of the third season of the main story Zenless Zone Zero and Sky City, the developers introduced the new region's first agent. Pyrois was first revealed in the introduction video, where he was described only as an aetheric aberration and a special power of Phaeton that would assist proxies in combat. While it was previously expected that this aetheric spawn would be merely a useful tool like Eos's Banbu, it was ultimately revealed to be a separate playable agent that could be used in battle.

Pyroes' official introduction with Belle and Weisz

Pyrois (Attack: Ethereal) — a huge humanoid creature, somewhat reminiscent of the distorted monsters encountered by the proxies in the caverns. Its rarity is still unknown, but judging by other HoYoverse projects, the aberration will be rated S-rank. Phaeton's assistant will presumably be given free of charge during the Sky City storyline, and will become more powerful as the third chapter of the story progresses. It's also unclear whether the spirit will be present on the battlefield itself or will be a "puppet" controlled by the protagonists.

An equally interesting detail in the announcement image is the silhouettes of the proxies themselves. The heroes are wearing new outfits designed in the style of the upcoming region. These skins will likely also be available for free to players at the start of the new season. More details about them and Pyrois' combat abilities will be revealed at a later date. April 30, after the launch of beta testing of version 3.0.

The main character in games, as the "commander," should be a sort of "buffer" from the pocket, like the 4th character in Zero Cave. And with each new chapter, they should be given new buffs, similar to the new elements in Genshin Impact, which players can switch at their own discretion for specific packs. Otherwise, the main character in games mostly only appears in dialogues and scenes and is rarely added to packs, especially when there are strong counterparts. This way, they'll always be present on the battlefield, helping the team with buffs and not interfering with the composition of packs.

This thing gives me the feeling of a JoJo's Stand 😏. It looks like they've gone the XSR route (I hope not Genshin with its unplayable main character, everyone there except Dendro is garbage), where the main character gets a new Stand every season. If I do it like in 0x00, it will be a nice addition to the team's strength. If it's just a character, I don't know; it'll probably end up in the closet, since it'll get in the way of team building. It would certainly be better to give a buff to the fourth jumping body than to add weight to the account.

Finally, the main characters will stop being bullied by spiders in caverns.

Well, we'll see. Will this be a separate mechanic or just the introduction of a free main character, like in other games. The latter would seem strange, as it's a bit late.

Yeah, but the key theme that you are a "proxy conductor" is finally covered with a coffin lid.

There were a million different options, right down to special abilities the main character could use in battle through Banba. But no, our Mary had to personally scurry around the caverns. Why? Because the draw was powerful, so that's what they decided.

Exactly! They could have made Vibe Watch Dogs and developed the main character's hacking abilities. But they were drawn to some superhero series.
