Changing developers and canceling pre-orders is just the tip of the iceberg. What fate awaits the project in the new year and should we expect it on PC and consoles in the next few years7
In the footsteps Cyberpunk 2077 with its problematic release, Bloodlines 2 also went. At first, the project was postponed several times due to technical difficulties, and now the incredible happened - Paradox Interactive changed the developer right in the process of creating the project. A new release date is not yet known. There are no guarantees even that it will be released in 2022. In this regard, the publishing house ceases to accept pre-orders, however, already paid for goods will not be returned. Paradox Interactive is making sure the game gets released and is asking fans for a little more patience.
It is not clear what caused such a change in the development studio. Paradox themselves, in their message about the transfer of the game, speak warmly of the company and hope that their contribution to the project will be appreciated. However, insiders say that The publisher and the developer just didn't see eye to eye on the project. Therefore, Hardsuit Labs was out of the game.
Who will complete work on Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 not yet known. Paradox Interactive reported that a new developer has already been found, but for some reason they decided not to name the company.
However, this situation cannot be called unexpected. First, the main creatives were fired from the project, after which the fans were shown very controversial gameplay decisions. Most likely Paradox decided that the blame for the dissatisfaction of gamers lies entirely with the developer, so we decided to radically change the vector of the project development.
