One-Punch Man Season 3: release date for new episodes

The release date of the third season of One-Punch Man has been worrying fans since the end of the second part of the anime and the subsequent announcement of the sequel. The film adaptation of the parody superhero manga by ONE has become one of the most popular and recognizable titles, many scenes and characters of the series have been "sawed" into memes, and the main character Saitama has invariably reached the top lines of the ratings of the best and strongest protagonists from anime in general.

In many ways, the project is a landmark both in the anime industry and in the world of superheroics in general. It set certain trends, showed high quality animation, action and humor and impressed the audience, who are eagerly awaiting new episodes. When is One Punch Man season 3 coming out?

After the announcement of Season 3, several years of agonizing anticipation passed, and finally, in 2024, important information was revealed. The premiere of the third season took place 5 2025 October, the, and for production in response JCStaff. The season started with a recap, and a full new episode was released  12 October.

The second half of season 3 is scheduled to air in 2027.

Briefly about the events of previous seasons

The world in which the main character lives - Saitama - is very similar to the Earth, but with a difference in the form of a huge number of monsters. To fight them, the Association of Heroes was created, where people with superpowers have their own strength rating and the ability to destroy enemies. Saitama has no special skills other than one - he defeats any opponent with one blow. He received such tremendous strength as a result of hellish training, which also led to baldness.

In the Hero Association, Saitama is in one of the lowest ranks because he failed the written exam. He is not taken seriously by those who are not familiar with him, and all the glory of his exploits goes to someone else. Fate brings the main character to the cyborg hero Genos, who becomes his student. As a result, Saitama finally begins to assert himself and gain authority (albeit not entirely of his own free will). One day, even his desire to find a worthy opponent comes true - he becomes an alien Boros. The latter, however, dies in an unequal battle with the hero.

The monsters are once again defeated. They are unhappy with the fact that the heroes are gaining strength, and even got such an ally as Saitama. The result of discontent is the creation of their own villainous Association.

What will happen in One Punch Man Season 3?

The sequel to One-Punch Man is expected to focus on Garou, the anti-villain and hero hunter. The character was saved from defeat and subsequent death by Phoenix Man in the finale of the second season, and was given a special place in the presentation of the third part to the public.

In terms of plot, the new episodes of the third season are also expected to cover the remaining chapters of the Monster Association Arc, thus completing the adaptation of the Hero Association Saga.

Interesting Facts

In anticipation of the release of season 3 of One-Punch Man, here are some interesting facts about the superhero title:

• It is assumed that the continuation of the anime will show the events of the manga, starting in chapter 85 and ending in 118.
• The original story was released as a webcomic with very simple and sketchy art, making all the characters look very comical.
• Saitama's secret to strength is (according to him) 100 push-ups, 100 ab exercises, 100 squats, and 10km of running daily for several years. Nobody believes him when he reveals this information.
• Based on the first seasons, it is planned to make a live-action film. The rights to its creation were acquired by Sony Pictures, the director is Justin Lin (he directed five parts of the Fast and the Furious series), and the scriptwriters are Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner. The latter are known for the films Venom and Jumanji: The Next Level.
• The picture has a lot of good reviews - the audience liked the concept of a hero who is invincible from the very beginning. The plot will remain light and exciting, so One-Punch Man season 3 is definitely worth watching.
