В Honkai: StarRail Purple thief spirits lurk in hidden places within the Ruins of Time on the Shore of Buried Memories. The phantoms remain unseen until a shining object appears nearby or the Pathfinder requires assistance in exploring the area.

How to find and capture Thief Spirits in the Shores of Buried Memories' Ruins of Time in Honkai: Star Rail
There are two ghosts hiding on the 2nd floor that can be lured into completing parts of the puzzles.

When escorting a dart to level -2 in the eastern part of the zone, Bartholos will grab it and drag it to his secret vault. Climb through the nearest window where the thief disappeared. For breaking into the vault, you'll earn an achievement. "The Palace Where the Wind Waits".
From teleport Gallery of the Fallen Spearhead Go down the stairs to recover the spear and follow him.
The final destination will be a window, from which a thief will emerge and carry the dart back to his lair. Get as close to the glass as possible and sneak inside.
After entering Bartolos' house for the first time, to move to the secret area, simply find the thief in the square and start interacting with him.
Thief Spirit 2
On the -2nd floor from the teleport The Dungeon of Desires Run through the large room with the drawing board and turn the corner. At the end, you'll find a box that's impossible to break. Interact with the vase, and a phantom will emerge and help you get rid of the item. Summoning this helper will earn you an achievement. "Treachery, Time, and Seed".
The inconspicuous passageway is blocked by small obstacles from afar. Proceed deeper into the corridor to reach the desired location.
Rewards
In addition to the two achievements, talking to the ghosts will unlock Bartholos's vault. The main trophies are:
