Unitors is the main quest from the third chapter in Gothic 1 remake, issued by the water mage Saturas. How to start the "Unitors" quest in Gothic 1 Remake

The bug is that due to a broken script, assistants may not show up at designated locations to search for Unitors. Two of the four stones cannot be obtained independently, even if you give yourself these items through console command, you won't be able to give them to Saturas until you talk to Milten and Diego at the meeting place in the troll gorge and at the stone circle.

You can solve the problem like this:

  1. Set the "ReShade-Console Item Spawner" from NexusModsUnzip the archive contents into a folder. "..\steamapps\common\Gothic 1 Remake\G1R\Binaries\Win64".
  2. In the game launch options on Steam, enter -consolekey=F10.
  3. To localize the mod, please download additionally "ItemsLocalizations_1.4a.zip" from the project page and extract the files from the "RU" folder to the same directory.
  4. Launch the game, stand in the place where the missing NPC should be, and open the overlay with the "Home" key.
  5. In the Add-ons tab, open the AI ​​Spawn category and select Milten or Diego.

Click the "Add" button, then "Run" - the desired character will appear in the trigger zone, after which you can start a dialogue with them and launch the quest.

The character appears at the hero's coordinates, and must be placed within the script's trigger zone. Check the screenshots and maps in the guide to avoid mistakes.

Alternatively, you can manually change the quest status in online editor saves and then hand over all the units to Saturus (give the missing ones through the mod):

  • Create a new save manually.
  • Drag it onto the site.
  • In the “Quests” tab, set the desired tasks to “Running” status.
  • Click "Generate fixed save" and download the *.sav file.
  • Remove ".fixed" from the name and move it with the replacement to the saves folder.

Depending on the unit that fails to turn in to Saturas, change the status of these quests:

  • Quest_OldCamp_OCCHAPTER3_STONEHENGE - from under the circle of stones.
  • Quest_OldCamp_OCCHAPTER3_TROLLCANYON — from the troll gorge.

A unitor in a ruined monastery

The nearest Focus Stone is kept in the ruins north of the old lighthouse. Reach the point indicated by the northeastern ray of the star that appears on the colony map. Gorn will be waiting as you approach—speak with him.

Follow the mercenary back, fighting off Glorchs along the way. The man will lead you past a suspension bridge into a cave. Follow him until you see a torch-lit passageway, beyond which lies a secret monk's storeroom.

Open the chest in the corner of the room. It's unlocked, and inside, in addition to loot, are some important items: a key from a ruined monastery и Scroll of Transformation into a Meat Bug.

How to get to the monastery

Return to the top where you met your friend and run to the locked gates of the fortress. After talking with Gorn, cast a spell to transform into a small insect and crawl through the hole on the left, following the other crawling bugs.

Once inside, kill the Glorchs and interact with the valve by the gate to open it and let Gorn in.

Where to find a unitor

The Unitor is hidden behind a cave, the entrance to which is on the second floor. To reach it, from the gate, head to the far right corner of the courtyard – there's an exit through the wall there.

Run along the edge of the cliff to the right and climb into the hole leading back to the monastery. Here, you can climb up the ledges to the second floor.

Climb onto the tiled roof and drop down toward the cave. Expect to encounter numerous Glorchs in the tunnels.

If you want to quickly get to the magic stone, at the forks always turn left and soon you will find yourself in a spacious grotto, where a meeting with a mini-boss awaits.

How to defeat the Darkling

The monster is strong and, even with upgraded faction armor, can quickly drain all your health. However, it's easily defeated with cunning.

The monster is guarding a magic stone, so immediately run towards it, to the right. The goal is to dodge the first attack and slip past it, straight to the unitor.

Behind the predator, you'll see an exit to a ledge with a magical barrier. Stand within the lightning strike and lure the beast as close as possible. The Shadowbeast will take damage, while the hero will remain protected by the mysterious amulet. After the beast dies, take the stone.

When you return to Gorn, a young troll will jump into the courtyard. After defeating the monster, we recommend exploring the monastery and collecting all the valuables.

Unitor from the Troll's Gorge

Head north from the Old Camp, into the gorge where the entrance to bandit camp From the quest of the same name. Talk to Milten and go to the square together, where you'll meet a huge troll.

Don't engage the giant. Instead, follow the fire mage to cover.

How to get troll skin

To create a shrink spell, you need four pieces of troll hide. These can be picked up from the ground near the monster's lair, located on the other side of the square.

Wait for the giant to move aside and collect the pieces of wool lying on the ground. Each of the four hides lies next to a red troll pelt plant—use it as your guide.

If you've been to these ruins before, picked up, and sold the troll hide, it won't appear again. Return to the merchant and buy the four items back. If you can't remember who you sold it to, you'll have to fight the beast at its full size.

Give the collected items to Milten and he will create a scroll of the Shrink Monster spell.

Equip this item and cast magic on the giant. When it becomes small, kill it while the enchantment is active.

How to pick up a unitor

Approach the gate at the northern end of the square and grab one of the levers. Wait for the fire mage to pull the other.

Follow the cave to the round hall. The path to the unitor is to the left. However, don't rush there. First, look into the passage straight ahead and search the chest. Inside you'll find:

  • Scroll "Telekinesis" ×1.
  • Scroll of Healing ×2.
  • Rune "Telekinesis".
  • Essence of Magical Energy ×2.
  • Parchment ×3.
  • Amulet of spiritual power.

After collecting the loot, climb the stairs to the magic stone. You'll be met by two harpies as you approach.

After defeating the enemy, approach the destroyed bridge ahead. To repair it, use the Telekinesis spell you found earlier on the brightest crystal on the other side. Restoring the bridge will require at least nine units of mana.

If you're low on energy, use plants that regenerate over time. Nebula, dark grass, crow grass, or troll's sting, which grows in the square below, are all good options.

Unitor from under the circle of stones

Diego awaits the hero southwest of the Old Camp. The rocky terrain is swarming with orcs, so the easiest way to get there is on a scavenger mount—it'll be less noticeable to the enemies.

After the conversation, follow Diego and listen to his suggestion that a fire must be lit to open the passage. Take the torch and light the flames in the four stone pillars using the interaction button.

Kill the attacking skeletons and go down into the tomb.

How to kill a zombie

In a circular underground room, you'll encounter an enemy immune to normal attacks. To kill the zombie, you'll need to activate three switches on the walls, which will create a temporary electrical field in the center of the arena.

Use a bow, crossbow, or a ranged spell and shoot the three blue plates on the ceiling one at a time. Once they're pressed, time the moment and lure the undead creature to the center of the arena. A few seconds later, lightning will strike the floor, sapping a third of the monster's health.

This procedure must be repeated three times to completely put the zombie to rest. Immediately after its death, a unitor will descend from the ceiling.

Mountain Fort Unitor

The road to the Mountain Fort starts from the bridge to Orcish CryptOnce you reach this fork, turn right and climb the rocky path to the next intersection, where a group of lizards has settled. Here, too, turn right.

At the crossroads with the notable stone, take the left path and reach the bridge next to which Lester is waiting.

How to defeat a golem

From a conversation with a cultist, you will learn that the easiest way to kill a bridge golem is blunt weaponsIf you have a powerful enough weapon in your inventory, equip it and you'll easily defeat the enemy.

If nothing suitable is found, return to the crossroads with the stone and turn left. At the next crossroads, where a pack of bloodhounds has gathered, turn left again and you'll find an old forge under a cliff.

Pick the chest and take from it an Orcish hammer with 50 bludgeoning damage.

For character without hacking skills the following combination will do:

  • No. 4 - 3 to the left;
  • No. 1 - 4 to the right;
  • No. 2 - 6 to the right;
  • No. 4 - 2 to the left;
  • No. 1 - 4 to the right;
  • No. 3 - 4 to the left;
  • No. 4 - 2 to the left;
  • No. 5 - 4 to the right;
  • No. 1 - 6 to the right;
  • No. 4 - 6 to the left;
  • No. 2 - 3 to the right;
  • No. 1 - 3 to the right;
  • No. 3 - 3 to the left.

Solving the Library Riddle

Once the monster falls, cross the bridge and go up to the courtyard of the main building.

Inside, turn right into the room with the spiral staircase. Follow Lester—he'll lead you to a cliff where you can see the unitor.

Run back along the balcony around the tower. When you encounter the enemy again, there will be a passage on the left, beyond which the stairs continue.

Follow it up to the next floor and follow the corridors to the library.

To progress further, solve the puzzle, the clue to which is in the next room: a painting of a swamp gobbler, a wolf, and a mole rat.

Return to the library and interact with the bookshelves in the same order, using the sculptures above them as a guide:

  1. Swamp-eater.
  2. Wolf.
  3. Mole rat.

If done correctly, the wall in the fireplace will move away, revealing a passage to a secret area of ​​the castle.

Talk to Lester when he's carefully examining one of the shelves. He'll tell you he's found a scroll granting ownership of the fort. Take it for yourself - it will be useful in the quest "Curiosities".

Where to find a unitor

Climb the stairs to the next floor and use the stepladder to reach the attic.

Jump through the hole in the wall to the level below, kill the harpy, and run right through the gap. Descend the ledges to the glowing sphere and collect the unitor.

Be sure to explore this fort to the end to unlock all the chests and secrets. Additionally, in the bedroom on the top floor, you can use the key to open the drawer where the loot is stored. Royal Guard armor.

Rewards

Before returning to Saturas, if you haven't turned in any yet, you should have five blue stones in your inventory. Use the "Teleport to Water Mages" rune and speak with the head of the order. Hand over the units to him one by one.
