In Genshin Impact, the Mahavaipulya Chamber, a library in the celestial dimension, is filled with secrets and hidden passages, exploring which can yield numerous rewards. The main mystery involves the old man Congshen, which yields a valuable reward. Find the hidden passage, collect all the particles, and guide the cubes to the main mechanism, then claim the other treasures to completely clear the area.
How to get to the Mahavaipulya Chamber
To get the Temple of Space's library into its expanded form suitable for exploration, complete the "Counterfeit Classics" quest of the "Paradise" chain belonging to "A Long Day in the Mountains". After this, the location will become larger and new secrets and characters will appear in it.
How to solve Congshen's puzzle in the Mahavaipulya Chamber library in Genshin Impact
The Celestial Library and its surroundings contain several treasuries, some of which are hidden behind puzzles. The most complex one consists of a series of non-obvious actions, beginning with a conversation with Congshen. The man stands on the fourth floor, just east of the teleportation point. The nearby passage is littered with books, and the old man says it's impossible to get through.
Find another way
After listening to the monk, try to get around the blockage from the side: go a little to the east along the corridor of the fourth level and turn the corner.
There you'll find a huge tome instead of a wall. In the center of its cover there is a crystal that can be manipulated with Dex. Use the companion to open the passage.
Examine the stone container behind the door, which will drop 10 Mora. Once the path is clear, have Dex latch onto the platform with the books and push it toward the glowing area.
For solving the first part of the puzzle , you will obtain a regular chest.
Collect Anemo Particles
Proceed further up the uneven stairs covered with blue carpet.
On the next floor, catch the Anemo Particle. It will move around, so follow it until you pick it up.
After this, several turquoise spheres will appear. Collect them all to continue. The path of glowing spheres will lead to the other side. To collect the last one, use the harpastum and fly to it in moth form. The reward is an exquisite chest.

Examine the book and move the first cube
Use the harpastum again, which you used to collect the last particle. Use it to return to the opposite side, then cross the bridge of books to the section where the keeper/carrier travels.
Approach the stone creature and examine it. A large page will appear nearby, and the keeper will be transported to it.
Stand next to it on a free star image and wait for the page to deliver the cargo to the desired location. The creature will automatically place the elemental cube into the stand.
Find the second cube
To solve the puzzle, you need to find another Geo Cube. The Keeper who can transport it is located on the floor above the container. Climb up to it using the harpastum.
From the deactivated carrier, run west along the right side of the fourth floor and immediately turn the corner. There you'll find a hidden passage behind a book, open it with Dex's ability.
A page will fly out of the room that opens, and the missing Geo Cube is also inside. Direct there the loading dock located in front of the entrance.
Use Dex's power on the carrier again and lead it out of the room. Outside, use it again to direct it to the page.

Restore the display case
Stand in the left glowing circle on the page and follow the guardian. The stone serpent will activate and take its place on the flying vehicle.
While the guardian is standing on its side, move to the free circle to return for the elemental cube. Wait for the creature to absorb the Geo element and the page will deliver it to the display case.
The carrier will automatically place the missing object in the container and the puzzle will be solved. You will get a precious chest and in total, for solving Congshen's puzzle you will receive:
- Primogems ×17;
- memory factors ×3;
- a few standard leveling resources, Mora, weapons and artifacts of low rarity.
Other chests in the location
In addition to the treasures collected during the process of solving the main puzzle, there are still eight more chests of different rarity in the Mahavaipulya Chamber.
Chest 1 (regular)
Located near the teleportation point on the edge of the region's eastern island. Guarded by a single Suppressor.
Chest 2 (regular)
On the top of the cliff of the middle island, between the two teleports outside. Climb up there using the harpastum and destroy one automaton to collect the reward.
Chest 3 (exquisite)
At the teleport point near the library entrance, transform into a moth and fly to the very top of the cliff. Walk along it slightly west, and you'll descend to the lowlands where two Suppressors guarding the treasure.
Chest 4 (exquisite)
Encountered during the "Counterfeit Classics" quest, after you reach the first level by pushing the walls apart with the Restoration Core. Defeat the two guards in front of the treasure.
Chest 5 (regular)
Proceed to the second floor and head to its eastern section. The treasure chest is behind the table, near an NPC named Parmenides.
Chest 6 (amazing)
To obtain it, you need to solve a small spatial-shifting puzzle. Head to the southwest corner of the library's second level.
Use Dex's ability on the corner of the doorway and flip the page to the right. Then run in the opposite direction until you reach the next flippable passage.
Turn the page up to the middle and open the treasure chest. You'll also receive "A Good Book Is Always Worth Reading" achievement along with it.
Chest 7 (regular)
On the stairs leading from the third to the fourth floor. Guarded by two hilichurls and is encountered along the way during the mission to liberate this space.
Chest 8 (amazing)
Use the harpastum to fly to the ceiling of the library's fourth level on the west side. Among the books here, you'll find a small alcove with a house inside. Knock on the door three times to receive your reward.

The easiest way to pick up an Anemo particle is mid-flight. Glide from somewhere high and fly toward it. This gives you a better chance of catching it.
