How to start the quest Tempting Business
To open a quest dedicated to search for 3 Veles detectors, first complete the "Deal" quest. After this, go to the merchant Sych in Skadovsk, Zaton location. Owl will ask you to find the devices by any means and bring them to Novikov at the scientists’ base in the vicinity of Jupiter. Deadline for completing the Tempting Business unlimited. Professor Herman from a laboratory in the vicinity of Jupiter sells Veles after completing the quest “Variable Psi Radiation”. Complete 4 tasks for scientists to receive the “Researcher” achievement, which increases the reputation of this group and opens the prototype of the Svarog detector for sale at Herman. Find in caches
1st cache
Go to the village of Kopachi, in the vicinity of Jupiter. Kill zombie stalkers in the area and check the cache in the cabin of the yellow excavator. Inside you will find:

Now go to Yanov station with the active task “Reputation”, which has been completed to the “Find Snag” stage. How to get the Svarog detector in STALKER Call of Pripyat
You can find Svarog at the end of the task “Tempting Business”. Having collected 3 Veles, go to the vicinity of Jupiter, to the scientists’ base, and give the findings to Novikov. Now you need to wait for Sych to receive the detectors:
- Go to Zaton and while away the time there: complete quests, sleep for a couple of days, explore the location. It is advisable to do this away from Skadovsk.
- At a certain moment, a message should come from Owl.
From the dialogue with the informant, you will learn about the problem: Owl gave the detectors to Beard’s stalkers looking for artifacts, but they now refuse to share part of the swag. Go to Beard, during the dialogue with him you will receive a prototype of the Svarog detector and an update to the Tempting Business task. From this point on there is a fork in history. Return to Owl and select 1 of 2 outcomes:
- “No Sultans! Give me my share now!”: Owl will pay for the work and the quest will end. The prototype of Svarog, of course, will remain in the inventory.
- “I’ll go talk to the Sultan”: this will activate the task “Dark Business”. No share will be received from Sych.
The best case scenario is obvious: demand a share. The "Dark Business" task can be activated even if you demand your share in the final. To do this, you just need to talk to the Sultan.
