The "Traces of the Past" mission continues to introduce interesting locations on the maps of ARC Raiders. This time, gunsmith Tian Wen sends you to explore three locations: the Buried City, the Dam Battlefield, and the Spaceport. She mentioned specific locations where you should search for something useful. Whether the search is successful or not is irrelevant.
How to complete the "Traces of the Past" quest
To complete all objectives, you must complete three raids. In each, visit a specific location specified in the quest and search the required number of crates or find an interaction point.
Search the containers in the raider camp under the garage.
In the Buried City parking lot, you need to search two containers in the safehouse on the lower level. Look for the building marked with the appropriate sign on the map—it's located between the hospital and the Cosmoport. These are two high-value loot zones, so it's important to carefully plan your approach to avoid raiders.
The best approach is from the Galleria side. This street is often deserted, but Bastion sometimes patrols it. The presence of a large robot can either be a boon, scaring off players, or ruin the mission.
You can also enter from Marano Park, but it's harder to hide from drones there, and there's a high risk of encountering a Bastion. Choose your route based on your spawn location and your gear.
Whatever the outcome, jump inside the parking lot and run to its southwest corner on any floor. Open the barricaded elevator shaft and zipline down to the basement.
A raider camp has been set up in a secluded basement beneath the parking lot. Be careful—this spot is popular, as a weapon case containing epic weapons almost always spawns there. Search the two containers—any loot will do: car hoods, metal crates, cabinets, bags, etc.
You don't need to take anything out of the round. Simply look inside the crates, even if they've already been looted by other players.
Search the outpost in the southern swamp for anything useful.
For battlefield at the dam Visit the building in the southern swamp and examine the stack of documents. The point of interest is located in the east of the location, and the outpost itself is a large metal building with a tower.
Inside the tall section of the building, look for a small table with papers. A yellow interaction prompt indicates it. Check the documents, then you can move on to the next task of the quest.
Look for something useful in Bilgun's shelter
В spaceport You need to visit Bilgun's hideout—it's a trailer attached to the top of the main area's wall. Look for the iron structure high above the ground, east of the container storage area.
The outer side of the wall is usually quiet, so you can easily climb the ladder and find another pile of documents on the floor near the cart. Collect the notes, and the mission will be complete.
❗️Due to its open spaces and numerous towers, the spaceport is a favorite spot for snipers. Try not to step out of the trailer onto the wall to avoid getting shot.❗️
Rewards
After returning from your last mission, visit Tian Wen for rewards and a set of green weapon attachments:
- muzzle brake 2;
- vertical handle 2;
- reliable stock 2.
While weapon mods are useful in Ark Raiders, they're not the main benefit of the "Traces of the Past" quest. The quest introduces interesting, yet less obvious, locations on three of the most popular maps, offering the opportunity to collect some decent loot. Be sure to check back in these locations afterward—if you're lucky, you might just end up with some excellent epic weapons and other valuable items.
