Workbench in LEGO Fortnite: how to make and improve

Workbench in LEGO Fortnite - a tool for making equipment. This is a center for creating all types of equipment: axes, shovels, swords and shields, crossbows, explosives and more. How to make a workbench in LEGO Fortnite

To craft a workbench in LEGO Fortnite, you don't even need to create a settlement. Go to the construction menu (Q button on the PC version), select a workbench, and place it in the world. Resources required for its construction:

• Wood×3.
• Granite×5.

Please note that the workbench does not work in the rain: it must be built under a roof or in cave. You can build it in the wild, but you can work on it only in the absence of precipitation.

How to use the workbench

Go to the workbench and press the interact button (default on PC is the E button). A list of available items for creation will open (the “Item Drawings” tab). For each fixture, you can check the required components. If there are enough resources, then the item can be created by pressing the F button.

Please note: collecting new types of resources in the open world of the game will unlock new recipes on the workbench. For example, as soon as you pick up gunpowder for the first time in a session, which can often be found in cave chests, a dynamite recipe will be added to the workbench menu.

How to improve a workbench in LEGO Fortnite

Not all items of equipment are available when using a regular workbench by default: you will need to upgrade your tools to increase the range of things you can create. You can do it in the “Improvements” tab: if there are enough resources, click on the “Improve” button. You can upgrade your workbench to a maximum of level 4:

• Regular (basic).
• Unusual.
• Rare.
• Epic.

Unusual

An unusual workbench allows you to create good tools, weapons, survival equipment and accessories:

• Improved pick and shovel.
• Forest ax.
• Long sword and crossbow.
• Dynamite.

Find the following components to upgrade your workbench to extraordinary:

• Board×8: created at a sawmill from regular wood.
• Shell×3: mined from pokatunov in the "Fields" biome.

Rare

A rare workbench further expands the quantity and quality of things created. Obtain the following resources to build it:

• Root Stick×12: crafted from root vine at the sawmill.
• Marble block×15: obtained from chests or created using a rock crusher.
• Sand Claw×6: Dropped by Sand Wolves.
• sand shell×3: drops from sandy beaches pokatunov.

Epic

The Epic Workbench allows you to craft superior items of the highest quality. To modify it you will need:

• Copper ingot×15: mined from copper deposits in lava caves that are particularly difficult to explore.
• Obsidian ingot×25: mined in lava caves in the desert biome.
• Scales horror×1: dropped from terrible, which lives in the fields, is a large creature with healthy paws and the face of a dinosaur.

The Epic Workbench will give you better mining tools, like the Epic Pickaxe and Axe.
