Pale Crown Palace in Genshin Impact: How to Open and Collect All Chests

In Genshin Impact, the Pale Crown Palace location was originally a luxurious royal residence, but over time it has become a gloomy, snow-covered tomb. The entire area is engulfed in a vast Shadow Realm, filled with dangers that must be overcome to obtain all the treasures, including chests of various rarities, Cryocules, shadowwing drops and other resources.

How to open the Pale Crown Palace

You can get to the Pale Crown Palace during the mission"Looking at the pale crown, immersed in sleep"If the quest is completed and the teleporter within the castle grounds is not open, head to the train station west of the Archon statue and call the train by interacting with the glowing marker.

All Pale Crown Palace puzzles and points of interest in Genshin Impact

Almost all of the area's puzzles involve Shadow Realm mechanics and shooting. In some cases, you'll have to change the local temperature by activating a prototype Kresnik Torch to thaw the ice. You'll also encounter classic challenges involving monuments or monster battles.

Precious chest and monuments

In the eastern part of the Pale Crown Palace are Cryo Monuments. Lighting them will open a precious chest:

• The first one is on top of the wall to the east.
• The second one is to the left of the box.
• The third one is on the right.

You can light the pillars by switching your weapon to a grenade launcher with Cryo ammo.

All other chests

You can also find the following at this location:

• nine ordinary chests;
• nine rich chests;
• seven precious chests;
• two luxurious chests;
• two amazing chests with drawings for Serenitea Pot.

Two statues

The puzzle is located in the western part of the Spiral Tower. To reach it, head to the east of the area and activate the mechanism until the device in the center forms a long bridge toward the Traveler. Cross it and use the Stasis Seal to pull yourself to the puzzle.

If there's water near the statues, shoot the device in the center of the tower and freeze it. Then push the left statue and wait for it to reach the center of the arena, then push the right one. The goal is to have them both land on the platforms at roughly the same time.

Other puzzles

Since the area belongs to the Shadow Realm, it also contains hidden Shadowwing Drops throughout the area, which are needed to upgrade the device on the train.

Cryocules

Teleports

All Teleport Waypoints in the area are unlocked during the "On One Side a Palace, On the Other a Tomb" quest chain. However, unlocking the final waypoint in Once-Carefree Courtyard requires completing "In the Dwelling of Life" and "Hesperides of Love and Hate". Completing these quest chains unlocks "Her Palace Collapses Into the Blizzard".
