In Genshin Impact, the quest "Submerged Dragon, Soaring Phoenix" quest lets you meet a martial arts student training at Luyang Academy. The man, trapped in a painting, is diligently practicing a special technique passed on to him by his mentor.
Seeing Traveler as an experienced fighter, Zhangsun Zijing will ask you to demonstrate him your most difficult moves so he can borrow your experience. We'll explain how to demonstrate your abilities and skills below.
How to start the quest
To start the mission you will need:
- complete the quest Long live life! from the "Paradise";
- once again visit the Luyang Academy in the Temple of Space.
At the river crossing next to the building of the educational institution, find a boat and pick up the painting lying on it using Dex.
Place the image opposite you, pointing it at the cliff with the waterfall on the other side of the river. Wait until it becomes reality.
Approach the newly appeared stone pillars and climb any of them. Wait for an ink phantom to appear nearby and examine it.

Show off your skills at Plumwatcher Piles
The first challenge will be a column jump. Collect 85 Geo Particles from them within 7 seconds by climbing the pillars in the order shown. After the run, a regular chest will appear next to Zhangsun as a reward.
An example of this part's process on video:
Jump on the roof to show off your skills
Head to the next location and meet Zhangsun Zijing at the top of the mountain to the north. He asks you to collect 38 Geo Particles from the rooftops within 90 seconds.
First, look into the air above the fighter. Interact with the harpastrum and begin gaining altitude while in moth form to collect the orbs above.
Once you're high enough, find another harpastrum on the left and use it to navigate all the canopies until you complete the challenge. Collect the reward from the exquisite chest that appears.

Think of a way to demonstrate your skills in the air
After talking to the man, the final lesson will begin, in which you need to collect 55 Geo Fragments in flight within 120 seconds:
- Jump from the island and spread your wings to slowly approach the particle cluster.
- Perform a plunging attack or slowly glide to collect the remaining ones.
- Do this a few more times, and then watch for harpastrums to appear in the air.
At the end of the run, the moth will fly to the meeting point with the fighter, where a precious chest will appear. Talk to Zhangsun and collect your reward for demonstrating your moves.
The full route for collecting elemental spheres is shown in the video:
