You can find a treasure thieves note in a cave in the south of Watatsumi Island. Start your journey from the southernmost teleportation point near the village of Boro and go down to the shore.
Turn west and follow the coast until you reach some scattered crates. Immediately behind them you can find a small depression in the rock on the right, leading to the desired cave.

In total, on the island of Watatsumi you can find 8 black marks. All of them are painted on the rocks in different parts of the island. Defeat all opponents at the halt to unlock a rich chest in the center of the camp. Inside, in addition to the usual rewards, you will find a quest item "Rinzo's Letter", in which an unknown person will tell about the location of the buried treasure.
As follows from the letter, Rinzō's chest is hidden in the same cave where the Traveler had previously found treasure thieves' notes. Anonymous will also note that the main reward contained in the chest may disappoint seekers.
Return to the cave in the south of the island and go to the box where you read the note before. A new feature will appear next to the book "Dig". I first cleared out the camp with the rich chest (I didn't know about the quest), then picked up the precious chest a long time later, by accident. After that, I ran through all the seals and picked up four regular chests.
