Who is Faneth in Genshin Impact

It is generally accepted that Faneth is the person of the Primordial, the progenitor god who came to Teyvat from another world and is the First Throne. Very little is known about him, and the main information is written in the book "Byakuyakoku Collection".

Appearance Fanet

Fanet did not appear in the game, so what he looked like can only be judged from the book from Encanomia. According to Astaroth (allegedly), the god was born from an egg and had an androgynous appearance. He had wings behind his back and a crown on his head.

Lor Faneta

The Primordial One is considered the creator of not only life in Teyvat, but also such things as Heart и Vision. Along with his shadows, he laid the foundation for how everything happens in the game world. Next, we will analyze the important periods in the reign of Fanet.

Coming of the First Throne

Many thousands of years ago, when Teyvat was ruled Seven Dragon Lords, the Primordial One arrived in the world in his spaceship, also known as Celestia. He was called the First Throne, and he is considered the first Descended. Phanet created four shining shadows of himself, three of which were moons and the fourth was the sun.

He then declared war and entered into battle with the dragon lords, the goal of which was to gain power over Teyvat. Having won victory 40 years later, he began to create heaven and earth and humanity. The Primordial also created Egeria, who later became the first Hydro Archon, so that she replaces the heart of the Primordial Sea, instead of the Hydro Dragon.

The Coming of the Second Throne

After some time, the peace in Teyvat was broken again, and the Second Throne, also called the Second Descendant, arrived. A war began between him and the Primordial, during which the heavens collapsed and the earth split into pieces.

In this period Enkanomiya, which used to be part of civilization, falls into the ocean and is separated from the surface world. Most likely, during the battle of the two thrones, cracks formed in the barrier created by Fanet around Teyvat, through which forbidden knowledge began to enter the world.

Celestia

To suppress the forbidden knowledge that was penetrating the mortal world, Celestia decided to drop the Sky Spikes everywhere - giant columns that can be found throughout Teyvat. They had to stop the spread of corruption. However, the war caused great damage not only to the world, but also to the Primordial and its shadows.

Therefore, Fanet creates Hearts of God, capable of enhancing elemental abilities, from the body of the unknown Third Descender. As well as divine thrones, in which he places the powers of the dragon lords he has previously defeated. Along with them, the concept of the Eye of God appears, each of which contains a particle of the power of the corresponding Archon.

Celestia declares a war of the Archons, the seven victors of which will be able to sit on the Divine Thrones. Thus, the Seven Archons appear, who begin to rule the regions belonging to them. Of the original seven, only two were not replaced - Barbatos и Morax (Buer may be considered the third after the removal of Rukkhadevata from the memory of the world).

It is unknown what happened to Fanet next. Previously, there were speculations that the Primordial itself left Teyvat and had not returned at the time of the events of the game. In the teaser "God's Boundaries" it became known that he haven't woken up yet.

Fanet in mythology

The image of Fanet in mythology and the game is largely the same. In the Orphic teachings of Ancient Greece, he was considered the primordial creator god who created life in the universe. He was born from a silver egg, the upper part of the shell of which became the sky, and the lower part became the bottom of the world's waters. It was Fanet who set the universe in motion and created the sun, moon, planets and humanity. He is depicted with a crown on his head, wide golden wings on his back and an androgynous appearance.

Four Shadows of Fanet

The Four Shadows were created by Fanet when he arrived in Teyvat. They aided the Primordial, and their power surpassed that of the Archons. Three of the sisters were moons (Asmodeus, Ronova, and Naberius), and one was a sun (Astaroth).

Time Lord Shadow of Astaroth

Shadow of Time Astaroth is called the goddess of time and wind, and information about her can be found in Mondstadt and Enkanomia. During the war of the First and Second Throne, Enkanomia went underground, the Primordial and his three shadows stopped answering the prayers of its inhabitants, but Astaroth was the one who did not leave them. As a sign of deep respect, the inhabitants of the region did not call her by name and kept records of the passage of time in their country.

Mistress of Life Shadow Naberius (Reindottir's Gold)

Shadow of Life Naberius mentioned in the Byakuyakoku Collection. During the period when Fanet defeated the dragons and began to create the world, one of his shadows helped him create living beings, plants, and people themselves. It was thanks to her that Egeria appeared, which became the heart of the Primordial Sea, and later the first Hydro Archon.

Later Witch Reindottir absorbed the heart of the goddess and became one with her. The shadow's appearance now matches the appearance Sinners, who became the new full-fledged goddess and took her place. Naberius remained in the explorer's consciousness and is able to talk to her.

Death Mistress Shadow of Ronov

Ronov's Shadow of Death (Scarlet Moon or Rainbow Moon) is mentioned in the books Pereneri and description of the spear Crimson Moon's Semblance. The priests believed that she was the ruler of all things, illuminating the lands within sight. People built high towers in which they prayed to the remains of the moon for salvation. Then came the Black Sun Dynasty, where they stopped praising the celestial body, but even after the catastrophe centuries later, those in whose veins the blood of the clan flowed survived. Such heroes include Harlequin Harlequin.

Mistress of Space Asmodeus

Shadow of Space Asmodeus — the one who separated the twins at the very beginning of the game. The fate of the Unknown Goddess remains in question. She did not show up for the gathering of shadows, so the others began searching for her. Ronova put forward a theory that the girl betrayed the Primordial. This could only happen if she found a new master and loved him more than herself.

Why are all of Fanet's shadows women, even though Fanet himself is a man?

Fanet is androgynous (has no obvious characteristics). The rest isn't that important unless the developers include this information. Do you really care so much about why, in a fictional world?

But it's possible they're like this because they were created as shadows of destroyed moons, and those were women, although there's still no direct correlation. Perhaps a factor of dependence on the creator's power plays a role.

I'll throw in my two cents, in my opinion it's worth understanding the history of the article, initially the Nibelung created three moons from the bark of Taivat, aria sonnet and canon, but not Phanet, after the creation and ascension of the three moons, the Nibelung went on a journey across the starry sea, only after a long time Phanet came, the heavenly order collapsed the seven rulers, the Dunes found themselves under his control, at first the heavenly forces did not consider them dangerous, but then the Nibelung returned, a war for dominance began, the moons divided the opinion who was for Phanet, and someone remembered how the Nibelung ruled, having learned about this, the Nibelung imprisoned all three and used them as weapons, the heavenly forces in response destroyed the eternal and rainbow moons, and threw the frosty one beyond Taivat into a false sky, according to Skirk, it has a special impulse and may return to its place, so to speak, we see fragments of the eternal moon in the plot, under the base of Fatui, the moonlight is also part the eternal moon, the rainbow one merged with the abyss and was in eternal torment until it was purified, the shadows of the fanet were created by him when, during the destruction of the moons, he was illuminated by their light, he created from the shadows of this moonlight all his shadows, but not like moons, the moons were before him and died in time, after the moons stopped changing on time and a great disaster happened, fragments of the moons can be seen in the cross-section of the sky

But I think Celestia is hiding something, and I know that Paimon is Asmodeus. Look at Paimon and Asmodeus, they look similar, and their stories match. Paimon, as they say, Asmodeus was so in love with her master that she no longer went to the Shadow Gatherings. So the stories match.

So what now? Ranova, though she exudes a crimson (rainbow) moon, is clearly not the moon, or is she? But how so? And if moons and the sun are shadows, then who is Columbine as a moon? Astaroth's daughter? (Their outfits are similar.) And one moon is completely destroyed, but the shadows are still there, even with new additions. And who is the sun? Or is Columbine the former moon before Fanet, and he has already created his own and therefore rejects the old ones. Nothing is clear, but very interesting.
Long ago, I thought the sun was Fanet, and the moons, sisters in love with him who ruled the night, alternated by the months, whom he separated like shadows, but they weren't shadows. With the help of shadows, he created the world, and the moons were just for a fairy tale.

«Three of the sisters were moons (Asmodeus, Ronova, and Naberius)"
The Primordial created the Four Shadows of himself: Naberius, Ronova, Astaroth, and Asmodeus
and Lun created the Nibelung and they were called Aria, Sonnet and Canon
is not it?

This article was updated before the difference between Moons and Shadows became known in-game, so we'll try to keep it up to date. The existence of Moons has been known for a long time, but the specific difference between them and Shadows wasn't revealed until patch 6.3.

Three Moon Goddesses The Nibelung created the Aria, Sonnet, and Canon. They corresponded to the Eternal, Frosty, and Rainbow (Scarlet) Moon and watched over the world in the Nibelung's absence. They were eventually replaced by Columbine.

Arriving in Teyvat, the Primordial (Phanet) created four Shadows—Astaroth, Naberius, Ronova, and Asmodeus (goddesses of time, life, time, and space). They are still alive.

Things are a bit tough with the Sun at the moment...
