В Genshin Impact Insiders shared gameplay details and descriptions of the heroes' skills, which are expected to appear in patch 7.2: Valeria (Electro, one-handed sword) и Miti (Electro, catalyst)According to early materials, the scientist has a legendary rarity, and the military one has an epic rarity. Both fight in teams of Star Guide and complement each other.
All animations, skill set functionality, and ability names shown are from an early version of the characters during the Closed Beta Test. Some aspects may change during testing.
Mitya is the main DD from Star Guide. By analogy with Judge NeuvilletteHe fights with charged attacks, absorbing special fragments generated by his abilities and the Star Conductor reaction. His skill has two forms:
- short;
- long.
Both deal damage, but depending on the chosen option, a different number of energy devices are created. Mitya can have up to four constructs active at once, and any excess explode, dealing Star Reaction damage in a small area. Elemental Explosion attacks in an area and creates several particles for absorption.
The young man's key ability is the ability to transform the Star Conductor into a special form. This alters the reaction's function, allowing it to create energy clots that he absorbs or detonates. Furthermore, it unlocks access to a reinforced conductor, which improves depending on his elemental mastery. While exploring the world, Mitya creates simple heat sources without expending thermal energy.
Valery is a support character who can shield allies, inflict Electro status on enemies, and buff Star Guide's damage. His charged attack generates special energy charges, which he stores in his shield. When these charges reach 40, Valery unleashes a powerful charged attack. This deals area damage and buffs the active ally's ATK and Star Guide's damage, but only if they deal Electro damage.
Valery's skill grants him a shield and instantly generates 40 charges, which are needed to perform a powerful punch. The shield's damage absorption depends on the commander's attack power. Elemental Burst deploys an energy construct on the field that deals electrical damage to nearby monsters.
Buffs for the Star Conductor only work when Valery is in Radiance. If used in a standard composition with an Electro-elemental main DPS, the hero will instead increase the main DPS's damage from his ATK. In addition to combat abilities, the commander grants additional materials from 20-hour expeditions in Snezhnaya.
If the information is confirmed, Mitya will become the new Electro damage dealer from Star Conductor, who will allow him to bypass the specific conditions of strong enemies in difficult content. The game already has boss Slashing Blizzard, which requires both Electro damage and Star Reaction. Valery will become a support-applicator who can replace hunter Alyosha or herbalist Qiqi in some squads. Final skills will be revealed closer to the official announcement of the heroes.
