В Zenless Zone Zero S-rank agent Nangong Yu is a member of the musical group "Angels of Obsession" and an Agent of Intimidation, attacking with the Ethereal element. In combat, she emphasizes using her enhanced basic attack and skill to fill the enemy's stun meter. This gives her a good window for damage.
Pairs well with Anomaly members, as it increases attribute application speed and boosts team damage through its passive. The build should emphasize control, which proportionally increases impulse. The "knowledge" stat, which increases the final values of all attribute effects, is also a priority for her and her team.

How to Get the Character

The leader of the "Angels of Delusion" group can be knocked out from the banner of the first half of patch 3.2 in time with 8 until September 30 2026. Her signature weapon, Neon Obsession, is also available for acquisition in the Amplification Channel.
Follow the banner schedule, so as not to miss the re-run of Nangong Yu and the release of other limited agents.
Strengths and Weaknesses

As a stunner for Abnormal squads, Nangong Yu is a jack-of-all-trades—she has a high stun, useful buffs, extended stun windows, effective application, and even decent damage. Her skillset fully meets the needs of damage dealers, but in exchange, she requires a high investment in gear and more careful team selection—hence the majority of her significant drawbacks.
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
| A true all-rounder that boasts stunning and effective damage output, buff benefits, and damage output. | It's a niche Intimidation agent, so it's hard to find a worthy alternative to the Neon Obsession signature. |
| Easy to build. Her passive involves building both "impulse" and "control" simultaneously, while still leaving room for "knowledge." | The same applies to future partners—due to the different passive skill requirements, it's difficult to create self-sufficient combinations with Anomaly agents that won't suffer a DPS penalty. |
| She has quick access to heavy attacks, skill usage without energy, and reduced Assist Point consumption. These small features make her gameplay much easier. | The high rate at which anomalous effects are triggered can be a disadvantage, as Chaos has its own "cooldown" timer. This can cause some status effects to be applied incorrectly, and damage to be reduced. |
| Gives older Anomalous lineups the ability to play through enemy stuns. |
The Best Builds for Nangong in ZZZ

Nangong Yu's additional passive skill forces her build to be built primarily around control anomalies. This will also give an increase to impulse, allowing you to simultaneously improve the effectiveness of stunning and application. Another key stat is "knowledge", Because abnormal damage is calculated based on the stats of all players. If this is ignored, the team's DPS from Infestation, Chaos, and Bloom will inevitably be low.
Alternatively, a bonus to etheric damage and penetration are considered. As for item passives, support options for both damage and stun are a viable option.
Rating of amplifiers
Nangong Yu's weapon should increase her anomalous stats and stun effectiveness. Only her signature amplifier meets the first requirement, while the second expands the list of suitable weapons to include alternatives and free-to-play options.
| Amplifier | Description | Recommendation |
|
Neon Obsession (5⭐) Base ATK: +48-713 |
Anomaly Knowledge +90. If the wearer is an Ethereal-attribute character and uses a normal or enhanced skill, the following bonuses are activated:
The effects last for 15 seconds, and reactivating them refreshes the duration. |
The best gear option that can be neglected in groups with idol Aria Due to the specifics of its gameplay. The weapon's main advantage is a percentage increase to control, which is equivalent to a boost to momentum. |
Receptacle of Furchaniyas (5⭐) Base ATK: 48-714 ATK: 12-30% |
Enhanced special attacks, chain attacks, and the owner's super ability deal damage to 28-44.8% more stun. When dealing Fire damage with a chain attack or Super ability, the damage of all squad members is increased by 10-16%. The effect stacks up to 2 times and lasts for 30 sec. The duration of each effect level is calculated separately. Using one skill can only give the effect once. Only 1 such effect can be active in a squad at a time. |
Although the girl will not be able to use the second half of the passive, the "ball" significantly increases ATK and stun from some moves. |
|
Hellfire Gear (5⭐) Base ATK: +46-683 |
A hero with this item restores energy outside the battlefield for 0.6-1.2 units/sec. faster. When launching a boosted special attack, the impulse is further increased by 10-20%(the bonus stacks up to 2 times, lasts 10 seconds, and the VD of each level is calculated separately). | A good option in squads with an active hyper-carry, since Nangong will more often go into the "pocket" and thus passively gain resources for the skill. |
|
Restraint (5⭐) Base ATK: +46-683 |
When an attack hits an enemy, the damage dealt by the basic attack and the stun are increased by 6-12% (This effect stacks up to 5 times, lasts 8 seconds, and each stack has its own duration.) The bonus can be triggered no more than once per effect. | A standard legendary that will complement an F2P Angel build well. |
![]() The seething kettle (4⭐) Base ATK: 44-595 Pulse: 6-15% |
After using Defense Assist, the stun and damage dealt are increased by 7.2-11.5% for 30 seconds. Repeated launches refresh the duration. | An event amplifier that works well in the absence of 5⭐ alternatives. |
|
Six-shooter (BP) Base ATK: +40-594 |
An agent equipped with this "ball" gains 1 charge level every 3 sec. (max 6), which increases the stun dealt by the skill by 4-6.4%Using a strengthened special attack consumes all stacks. | Battle Pass gear that increases the skill's impulse power. When playing with this "ball," you'll need to include the enhanced skill in your rotation more often. |
|
Precious fossil (4⭐) Basic ATK +40-594 |
If the enemy's HP is not below 50%, the owner of the amplifier deals damage to him. 10-16% more stun. If the enemy's health is at least 75%, this bonus is further increased by 10-16%. | An equally attractive option that's worth using against dense enemies in the endgame if you don't have a good S-rank weapon. |
What drives to install
The discs should also increase the combat power of allies and increase the girl's "knowledge" so that the team does not sag in abnormal damage.
| Set and its effects | Recommendation |
|
Freedom blues 2-Piece Bonus: knowledge of anomaly +30. |
The angel lacks a signature set, so the best option for primary equipment is Freedom Blues, which is aimed at increasing abnormal stats and abnormal damage in general. |
|
The Ballad of Phaethon 2-Piece Bonus: anomaly control +8%. |
An alternative to crowd control and ethereal damage, this combination will increase the heroine's impulse power and have a positive effect on her personal damage. |
|
Shockstar disco 2-Piece Bonus: impulse +6%. |
In the absence of "pieces" with a good set of stats from the sets discussed above, you can equip the "Shockstar Disco", which gives an increase to impulse and stun. |
To complement your equipment, we recommend using the "halves" of these sets:
- Chaos Jazz or Freedom Blues — knowledge of anomaly +30;
- "The Ballad of Phaeton" — control +8%;
- "Chaos Metal" or Radiant Aria — Ethereal damage +10%;
- "Hormone Punk" or "Astral Voice" — attack power +10%.
Recommended Stats
The main stats to look for in the record slots are:
| Position | Main parameter |
| 1 | Health (permanent) |
| 2 | Attack Power (constant) |
| 3 | Protection (permanent) |
| 4 | Knowledge of the Anomaly |
| 5 | Ether Bonus - priority, ATK%, penetration - alternatives. |
| 6 | Anomaly control |
Priority of additional indicators:
Anomaly Knowledge > ATK% > Penetration

- ATK: 2,200-2,500 units and more;
- control: 173-201 units;
- knowledge: 280-350 points.
Which banbu is suitable?
For Nangong, you can choose a hare that specializes in applying ether. The choice should also take into account the damage dealer's needs; for example, a helper that applies a matching attribute might be more useful.

Nangong Yu's Squad Guide in Zenless Zone Zero

She excels as a stunner in teams with Anomaly characters, or in a team with Sanna. Since Nangong plays the role of an applicator, teams with her don't need a second damage dealer: a hyper-carry and a support for him are enough.
Best allies
The best synergy is achieved with the following heroes:
| Character | Features |
|
|
Aria desperately needs a stunner, which will give her a stun window to increase the damage of her direct hits. The two heroes also pair well together in terms of abnormal DPS mechanics. |
|
|
She draws enemies in with her "Vast Cyclones" and creates surges. Using her as a support damage dealer, Nangong can be used as the core of a team. |
|
|
It's a versatile support for almost any build, as it provides useful bonuses to the squad, helps with application, and fills the need for some damage dealers to have a "Support, Attribute, or Faction" item. |
|
|
It's a good alternative not only for Abnormal squads, but also for classic Attack damage dealers. If you plan to use Nangong alongside them, it's best to supplement the deck with Sanna. |
|
|
With proper skill and skill leveling, Nicole can replace event Support heroes. She can pull enemies, reduce their defense, and increase the squad's Ethereal damage. |

Best team samples
Nangong's squads are primarily formed with Anomaly damage dealers, as only in such compositions can she fully unleash her abilities and unlock her additional abilities.
| Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 | Features |
|---|---|---|---|
Aria | Nangong | Sanna Velina | A priority build for all participants, it offers the best mechanic synergy and interesting synergy animations. Sanna can be replaced with Velina to increase the number of Anomaly Releases. |
Promea | Nangong | Velina Yuzuha | A team option with high burst damage, as Promea summons Ablooms, buffs them, and allows them to ignore enemy defense percentage. |
Alice Jane Doe | Nangong | Yuzuha Sanna | The unique feature of the physical pack is the "Cowardice" effect: enemies receive more stun after activating Onslaught, so they will be stunned more often. |
Miyabi Yanagi | Nangong | Yuzuha | Section 6 heroines can deal burst damage with their skills, which synergizes favorably with the angel's focus. Miyabi won't need M2, and Yanagi's passive is mitigated by Yuzuha and the idol's buffs. |
Vivian | Nangong | Sanna Velina | An ethereal team tailored for Bloom, where the girls take turns triggering additional effects. Teaming up with Velina will increase the frequency of anomaly emissions and speed up the application. |
Nangong | Velina | Remiella | A team variant with Nangong as the primary damage dealer. Velina will pull enemies and increase the number of Ablums. Remy will multiply the damage output of all team members. |
Piper | Nangong | Lucy | A budget team for the first time. Although Piper is an Epic Agent, she has quite a bit of damage, which Nangong will only increase. However, the biker needs a partner from the Sons of Callidon faction to unlock her full potential. |

How the skills work

Nangong Yu gives the damage dealer plenty of time on the field while he accumulates stacks of "Strong Shares" to perform charged attacks, enhanced by his main passive skill. Also, when allies inflict any attribute status on an enemy, stacks of "Vibrato" accumulate—they deal a one-time burst of damage when the target recovers from the stun or when the effect reaches four levels.
If the squad includes members of the Angels of Obsession or an Anomaly agent, Yui will dispense a host of useful buffs when the enemy is stunned. These include increased application speed, additional damage with Polarized Chaos, stun extension, increased stun multiplier, and one "free" E-class activation.
- Basic attack: Strikes that can be empowered by accumulated "Strength Dots" points. Activating the skill charge at the right moment can block an enemy attack, grant invulnerability, and increase stun.

- Enhanced and Special Enhanced skill inflict ethereal damage.

- Evasion and assistance: standard set of skills for most agents.

- Superpower and chain of attacks (c/a): Performs strikes in front of him and opens an Ethereal Curtain with his ultimate, increasing ATK by 50 for 30 seconds.

- Main Passive Ability: Increases "knowledge" and boosts impulse proportionally to "control." Grants the girl buffs when hitting an enemy with a non-lethal weapon or a strengthened E-type weapon. This skill also determines the buildup rate of "Strong Shares" and the damage of the anomaly emission when "Vibrato" stacks are removed.

- Additional passive ability: If there is an Anomaly or an agent from the "Angels of Obsession" in the squad, then the moment the enemy is introduced into the camp, the buffs begin to take effect.

The order of leveling skills
Traits > Special Attack (EX) > Basic Attacks > QTE Attack Chain > Assist/Evasion.
The angel is extremely dependent on these "buttons":
- Makings — the source of all buffs and additional damage.
- Skill Fills the enemy's stun bar faster.
- Basic attack It is used comparatively less frequently in rotation, but it should also be developed to the maximum.
The remaining skills can be improved at will.
The best eidoses
Mental picture of the idol leader:
| M1 | The enhanced skill and charged b/a reduce targets' damage resistance across all attributes by 18% to 40%; repeated casts refresh the duration. "Strong Shares" are restored to 100 units at the start of combat (once every 180 seconds in reconnaissance mode). |
| M2 | Vibrato grants an additional +35% damage to the Anomaly Emission and a +30% vulnerability multiplier when stunned. When the active hero lands a heavy hit on a stunned or anomaly-affected target during a chain of attacks, Polarized Chaos is triggered, dealing 25% of the initial Chaos damage to that enemy. |
| M3 | Level of non-attack, evasion, assistance, target attack and skill - +2. |
| M4 | Knowledge of anomaly +40 units. Efficiency of anomaly accumulation from charged non-agent +35%. |
| M5 | Level of non-attack, evasion, assistance, target attack and skill - +2. |
| M6 | Stun effectiveness increased by 50%. Enemies begin to accumulate stacks of Vibrato Bis, up to a maximum of 4:
В moment of stunning Removes all stacks of Vibrato Bis and deals damage with an anomaly emission. Each stack provides +25% damage. Vibrato Bis and Vibrato cannot be stacked simultaneously. |
The best consts of Nangong are the first one, the second one и sixth.
- M1 Provides a buff that reduces target resistance, which is useful for any DPS agent.
- M2 Increases the bonus damage of the surge and raises the vulnerability multiplier. The team's arsenal is also expanded with another way to trigger Polarized Chaos.
- The best effect from M6 — a stun bonus that's especially valuable in the endgame. As for Vibrato Bis, it's simply an alternative to the standard one, which can be activated by accumulating four charges outside of a stun.
When choosing between Constipation and Enchantment, the Signature is preferred: it contains the most important stat boosts and buffs for the team.
How to play as Nangong Yu
Step-by-step rotation for stunner:
- Build up your "Strength Shares" meter to 100 by inflicting various abnormal statuses. Simultaneously, build up a stun on your target.
- Before a stun, use your Ultimate or a fully charged B/A to apply Unsteady to the enemy (extending the stun and increasing the vulnerability multiplier). Also, use a boosted E or a charged B/A to activate all passive buffs for 30 seconds.
- Try to stun another agent to get a "free" skill. When the stun occurs, switch to the girl and activate the skill to spend "Dance Power."
- While the stun is active, inflict as many attribute statuses as possible to stack Vibrato.
Repeat the sequence between each stun, remembering to refresh any temporary buffs.
Should Nangong Yu be eliminated?

Nangong Yu is a character who excels in everything: she has one of the highest stuns in the game, buffs that are useful for a wide range of characters, high damage, and attribute versatility. She thrives in classic Assault builds, but she's specifically targeted as a sub-DPS in Abnormal groups. There, she doesn't just focus on triggering attack chains; she completely replaces the second DPS, casting Infection and several variations of Chaos.
The heroine absolutely requires a signature move and a smart approach to stat development, with an emphasis on control and knowledge. And that's where her "downsides" end. In ZZZ, the leader of the "Angels of Delusion" should be picked by those looking to diversify old builds, "pull" an Anomalous DD into a second squad, or build a full AOD team in the future.

Which Banbu should I put next to Miyabi, Nangong, and Yuzuha?
Burabashka M5 is a good f2t option
I assembled a team of angels, all with 0, the damage with average artifacts was so-so compared to shunguang
knocked out the Nangong Signu(Before this there was a seething cauldron and the like) and also c1 - it became an order of magnitude better
so the signal is definitely needed
Please tell me, I got two signals in a ten, should I add them together for W2?

Will the Bubbling Cauldron suit her? 4* from the Hot Pot event.
