In Genshin Impact, the 'Disenchantment in Deep Shadow' artifact set is perfect for heroes who use the Superconduct reaction. It consists of four fragments of legendary or epic rarity. The half-buff increases the wearer's attack power, while the four-piece buff provides a bonus to the Superconduct's damage and a decent boost to critical chance.
Because of the attachment to Star reaction It doesn't have many suitable wearers, making it one of the most specialized loadouts in the game. The hero roster may be expanded in future 7.X patches, but for now, it only has one signature wearer.
Where to find the 'Disenchantment in Deep Shadow' artifacts in Genshin Impact
The set is obtained in the artifact dungeon called the Thorny Crown of the Mountain Wind and located on Windrest Peak, in the north of Mondstadt. Besides regular farming, the set can be obtained in other ways:
- В Artifact Converter with Consecrated Elixirs. The set is added to the list of available items immediately after its official release in the game. You can craft two fragments of one set per version.
- В Stygian Onslaught using Lay Line Outcrops. The method works temporarily, while the surge is in effect: for the first ten days of a new cycle.
- For completing floors 9-12 of the Spiral Abyss and opening the reliquary from your inventory.
How the set works
The key issue with the set at release was its reliance on Superconduct. This reaction is activated by the interaction of Cryo and Electro, dealing minor area damage and reducing the physical resistance of enemies hit. It doesn't inflict status ailments or trigger other reactions, as is the case with Bloom.
Due to the low damage and resistance reduction, this reaction is used only to boost physical heroes, and they hit with physical damage, not with Superconduct, while the set is focused specifically on the reaction.
To activate the Critical Chance bonus, the enemy must have Superconduct on them, meaning they must have both the Cryo and Electro elements active. The Critical Chance bonus applies to attacks that hit an enemy with this status. For example, if the enemy is only affected by Cryo, that attack will not receive the additional Critical Chance bonus.
Set Bonuses
| 2 parts | Increases ATK by 18%. |
| 4 parts |
Superconduct reaction damage is increased by 80%. When the equipped character attacks an enemy with the Superconduct status, the critical hit chance of that attack is increased by 16%. An all-new blessing may be obtained as you make your way toward Snezhnaya... |
Features
The feather and flower's primary stats are fixed: attack power and HP. For the remaining fragments, the upper values are random. The table below shows the stat variations for each piece of the set:

Who is 'Disenchantment in Deep Shadow' suitable for?
The set, although designed for main damage dealers with Cryo or Electro elements, is currently only fully suitable for one character.

The girl possesses the Cryo element and plays through Star Conductor. Since the critical chance bonus is passive and not reflected in stats, take this into account when constructing a build. |

Cryo Traveler ![]() |
Top 1 option for teams with Electro heroes, where the main hero takes the role of the main damage dealer. |
Of the other companions, only a few heroes have a suitable fighting style. This set is suitable as an alternative. Pale fire, but it won't replace it completely, and the results will be weaker. If you already have a balanced build with the old kit, don't replace it with the new one.
| Character | Trait |

Uses both physical attacks and Cryo damage, which can activate a reaction and maintain the set. For comfortable play, you'll need a reliable Electro Applicator and possibly another Cryo hero. |

Having a cryo sub-DD in her team is essential, as she only inflicts the elemental status while using her E. If she can maintain Superconduct while building up her ultimate stacks, she'll increase her ultimate's crit chance by 16%. |

He has a unique stance in his ultimate, allowing him to use Electro attacks alongside physical damage. For the set to work, he needs to have a Cryo sub-DD in his team. |
In the future, the set could be useful for Cryo or Electro damage dealers with infusion. However, to implement them, they would need not only the addition of a boosted reaction to the game, but also a specialized support, same as harbinger Columbina for Lunar reactions. These same heroes will benefit from the two fragment bonus, as their abilities scale with attack power.
What artifacts to combine the set with
A 2+2 mix is usually used as a temporary solution, based on the needs of a specific companion. This is especially relevant for supports who need to gain a key stat, or damage dealers whose signature set isn't yet fully obtained.
A full set of 'Disenchantment in Deep Shadow' is needed by very few companions, but half of it provides a useful ATK boost. The choice of the second half depends on which stat you need to get:
- Support Ability Buffs: Retracing Bolide, Maiden Beloved, Ocean-Hued Clam;
- Bonus to offensive skills: Noblesse Oblige, Golden Troupe, Marechaussee Hunter;
- Elemental damage: Thundering Fury, Deepwood Memories, Heart of Depth, Bloodstained Chivalry;
- Elemental mastery: Gilded Dreams, Flower of Paradise Lost, Moonlit Offering’s Opulent Dream;
- ER: Emblem of Severed Fate, Silken Moon's Serenade, Celestial Gift;
- ATK: A Day Carved From Rising Winds, Vermillion Hereafter, Unfinished Reverie.

Yae Miko
Question: Does the passive effect on crit chance from pocket work? If the set is equipped on Yae, will she still get those 16 crits while DD is on the field?
And to save you the trouble, how long after the release of a new artifact dungeon can they be crafted in Mystic Offerings? After a few patches, or when a new region launches?
Perhaps every patch, since the recraft still doesn't have any art for the cow/herring, not to mention the moon ones.
