In the Chinese community TapTap a contest for the best heroine for 2024-2025 was held. From August 11 to 15, it was possible to vote for female characters from 27 mobile games, including gacha (Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd, Zenless Zone Zero, Wuthering Waves, Honkai: StarRail, Punishing: Gray Raven, Blue Archive, Reverse: 1999, Arknights), as well as representatives of other genres (Identity V, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Umamusume: Pretty Derby, Naruto, and so on).
Only eight girls made it into the official top, but to show the whole picture, let's look at the results in more detail:

- Elision — 72 (HI000rd).
- "Huntress" Firefly — 36 (HSR).
- Hu Tao — 34 (GI).
- Fox Miyabi — 25 (ZZZ).
- Electro Archon Raiden — 24 (GI).

- Singer Zaryanka — 24 (HSR).
- Kiana Caslana — 20 (HI000rd).
- Cartefia — 14 (WuWa).
- Amiya — 12 (Arknights).

Standing out from other projects Selene from PGR, coming in at 28th place with 1349 votes. As for companions from other famous gachas, the 29th place was taken by Soldier 0 Enby (1307, ZZZ), ranked 32nd Raiden May (1066, HI3rd), at 33 — Chief Magistrate of Jinxi (1038, WuWa), at 34 — Camellia from the Black Coasts (966, WuWa), at 37 — Bartender Bernice (724, ZZZ) and at 38 — Yae Sakura (697, HI3rd).
It is interesting that earlier in this same community they had already chosen a favorite character, namely at an event Game of the Year 2023. Then we won. Furina и criminal Kafka (HSR), but now other nominees have proven to be more popular than the latter.

It's surprising that the best dressed and least fanserviced girl made it into the top 10 of all the ZZZ characters.
It's a matter of taste, of course. I don't like Furina or Firefly at all, neither in personality nor in appearance. Miyabi is good, I agree with that, I've always liked Eimiya and Ganyu Yu from Genshin. Jane Doe and Vivian from Zzz. The rest, oh well, didn't work. Elysia looks interesting, but I haven't played HI.
Why did a boy get the top spot among female characters?
My favorite female characters are Kandakia, Soldier 11, and Fuga, heh.
Amiya really surprised me. It's odd that it wasn't Calcite or Lappland. Then again, perhaps Paw and the Cat Wife are much more popular outside of China.
