Acheron in HSR is a legendary character who wields the lightning element and is related to the Path of Nihility. Despite belonging to the debuff path, her main goal is to destroy enemies with the help of the ult, for which you need to collect charges of "Slashed Dream". At the same time, the levels of "Crimson Knot" are also necessary, directly affecting the damage of the super ability.
Considering that stacks are given for debuffs, and one of the traces requires additional representatives of Nihility, it is important to form a team in a certain way so that the heroine remains effective within the battle. In addition, depending on whether she relies on herself or allies, the speed value and partly the playstyle changes accordingly.
Gameplay and mechanical features allow the unit to be used as a base for a squad in any game mode. High damage in combination with a universal superpower that ignores any type of vulnerability significantly expands the range of the character's application and makes it quite popular in the damage dealing position.

Hero's story

The girl first appears in the Penacony storyline as part of a quest "The Knocking at Ungodly Hours" and introduces herself as a traveling Galaxy Ranger, whose real name still remains a secret. When first meeting the Trailblazer, she says the following: “ "Acheron..." Merely a borrowed name. You know my nature, remember my deeds... Thus, I am Acheron.».
Armed with a blade, she travels alone through the vastness of space in order to discover traces left by the past and pave her own path. The mysterious stranger reveals almost no information about herself. It is only known that thunderstorms often raged in the place where the swordswoman came from. According to the only remaining memories after waking up, faint peals of thunder continued to be heard on the sea horizon around her, and the bloody rain was almost over.
How to Get the Character

To obtain Acheron, you have to spend Star Jades or Special Star Passes in the Event Warp: Words of Yore. Banner availability: April 9 - April 30, 2025.
To stay up to date with the next rerun of Acheron and other limited heroes, keep an eye on banner schedule.
Features
The main stats that increase with leveling are health (HP), attack power, and defense. Speed and taunt remain fixed — they are only affected by external sources, such as equipment or support buffs. The specific values for each stat are presented in the table.

How skills work

The heroine's abilities are aimed at inflicting lightning damage on one or more targets. Despite belonging to the Path of Nihility, the Galactic Ranger is a classic main DD, around which the team is built. The key feature of the unit is her superpower - it does not require energy recovery and is activated by receiving a special charge "Slashed Dream".
The ultimate is exactly what Acheron's main force is, as it deals massive damage, annihilating all life on the battlefield. The only "nuance" is the need for Path of Nihility characters to accumulate additional points and trigger a trace that increases DPS. In addition to receiving points, it also simultaneously imposes the "Crimson Knot" status levels on enemies — the more of them, the higher the damage from the ultimate.
Active skills
Abilities that directly affect mobs include:
- Technique - Allows you to instantly destroy regular enemies without entering into combat and inflict additional damage at the beginning of a wave.
- Basic attack - Deals minor damage to one enemy.
- Skill - Receives special stacks and charges, and deals damage to multiple targets.
- Ultimate - Removes accumulated stacks and deals multiple damage first to one enemy, then to all monsters on the battlefield.
Below we will explore skills and the leveling sequence in detail. In addition, we will consider traces and eidolons, highlighting those that are worth paying primary attention to when opening additional copies of the character.
Technique Quadrivalent Ascendance || Group Strike, Strengthening
Immediately attacks the enemy and at the beginning of each wave receives Quadrivalent Ascendance, which deals lightning damage equal to 200% of ATK, and reduces their resistance, regardless of the types of vulnerability. When broken, they get the Shock status.
Quadrivalent Ascendance: After using the super ability, 1 stack of "Slashed Dream" is granted and 1 level of "Crimson Knot" status is applied.
If the target of the technique is a normal monster, it will be immediately destroyed without engaging in combat. If the attack misses the enemy, the technique points are not consumed.
The technique attacks the enemy, at the beginning of each wave the monsters receive Quadrivalent Ascendance — deals lightning damage that ignores vulnerability types and reduces the targets' toughness bar. Also, at the beginning of the wave, 1 stack of "Slashed Dream" is given and 1 level of "Crimson Knot" status is applied after using the super ability.
When a strike hits enemies with the Crimson Knot mark (in simulated universe or open world), they die instantly, and the character does not enter into battle.
“Crimson Knot” is automatically applied to ordinary enemies, that is, it does not apply to elite monsters, bosses and piggy banks. Vehicle points are not spent if you miss the target.
Basic Attack Trilateral Wiltcross || Single Strike
Deals lightning damage to the enemy equal to 50-100% of ATK.
The basic attack deals minor damage to one enemy target. Does not provide any stacks or charges and is mainly used to restore skill points. However, it is worth considering that Acheron is the main damage dealer, she wants to use the skill every turn, which is why the normal attack is almost never used.
Octobolt Flash Skill || Explosive Strike
Gain 1 stack of Slashed Dream. Applies 1 stack of Crimson Knot to the target enemy, dealing lightning Damage equal to 80-160% of attack power, and also attacks adjacent targets with lightning damage equal to 30-60% of ATK.
Grants 1 point of Slashed Dream and applies 1 stack of Crimson Knot to the enemy that is targeted by the skill. This enemy and nearby monsters receive lightning damage. The skill is one of the main ways to independently gain points and stacks during combat.
Ultimate Slashed Dream Cries in Red || Group Strike
The cost of the ultimate is 9 stacks of "Slashed Dream".
Consecutively uses Rainblade 3 times and Stygian Resurge 1 time, dealing Shock Damage up to 223,2-372% of ATK to one enemy and to 180-300% of ATK to all enemies on the battlefield. Crimson Knots are not applied while using the Super ability.
Rainblade: Deals lightning damage equal to the target enemy 14,4-24% of attack power. Then 3 levels of Crimson Knot status are removed from him. After the stacks are removed, all targets are dealt lightning damage equal to 9-15% from attack power. For each stack dropped, the damage multiplier of this attack is further increased to max. 36-60%.
Stygian Resurge : Deals lightning damage to all enemies equal to 72-120% of attack power, and removes all remaining stacks.
After using the super ability, he takes out his blade and makes 3 strikes that deal lightning damage and remove 3 stacks of Crimson Knot. In addition, the damage increases depending on the number of levels removed - the more stacks on the enemy, the higher the DPS. After making 3 strikes, she performs Stygian Resurge, dealing massive damage and removing the remaining Crimson Knots from all enemies.
Passive Skills
Passive skills include the talent, which allows you to activate a super ability by accumulating special charges, and also provides additional stacks if allies apply debuffs.
Talent Atop Rainleaf Hangs Oneness || Enhance
When the Slashed Dream reaches 9 charges, the ultimate can be activated. Hits made during the ultimate ignore all types of vulnerabilities, reducing the toughness bar of enemies and all types of their resistance by 10-20%.
Whenever a squad member applies a debuff to enemy targets, 1 stack of Slashed Dream and 1 stack of Crimson Knot are granted. This effect can only occur once per skill used. If the debuff is applied to multiple enemies, the target with the most stacks will receive Crimson Knot.
While Acheron is on the battlefield and after an enemy leaves the arena or dies, all of his levels are transferred similarly to the monster that has the most Crimson Nodes.
When the "Slashed Dream" points reach the maximum value of 9 stacks, the ultimate ability can be used. During the action of the ultimate, the toughness bar of enemies is reduced, regardless of their vulnerability types, and resistance to all elements is reduced.
Whenever any character on the team inflicts a debuff on enemies, 1 stack of Slashed Dream and 1 stack of Crimson Knot are granted.
Crimson Knot is not a debuff, while enemy resistance reduction is a debuff that gives points/stacks and is taken into account when using the set Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters.
Leveling Order
Superpower > Skill = Talent > Basic Attack
When upgrading Acheron's skills, it is first recommended to focus on ult, as this is the girl's main source of damage. In turn, еру skill вуals additional damage to multiple targets and allows you to gain points/stacks, so it is used quite often.
Although the level of the talent only affects the percentage of reduction in enemy resistance, it is also a noticeable increase in DPS when using a superpower. Basic attack is leveled last, because it has small scaling, damages only one target and does not give points/stacks.
Traces
| Attack Power +4% (lvl.1) | |||
| Red Oni (A2): At the start of combat, gain 5 Slashed Dream stacks and apply 5 stacks of Crimson Knot to one random enemy. When Slashed Dream reaches max, each point above the limit grants 1 stack of Quadrivalent Ascendance, which can stack up to 3 times. | Crit. damage +5,3% (A2) | Attack Power +4% (A3) | Lightning Damage +3,2 (A3) |
| The Abyss (A4): If there are 1 or 2 Path of Nihility characters in the team, the damage of Acheron's basic attack, skill and superpower is increased by 115% or 160% of the initial damage, respectively. | Attack Power +6% (A4) | Crit. damage +8% (A5) | Attack Power +6% (A5) |
| Thunder Core (A6): When the Ultimate's Rainblade hits enemy targets with the Crimson Knot status, the damage dealt is increased by 30%. This buff can stack up to 3 times and lasts for 3 turns. It also deals an additional 6 hits when Stygian Resurge is triggered. Each hit deals lightning Damage equal to 25% of the attack power of one target and is considered a Super Ability. | Lightning Damage +4,8 (A6) | Crit. damage +10,7% (lvl.75) | |
| Attack Power +8% (lvl.80) |
Buff from "The Abyss" trace has the common multiplier (1,15×-1,6×) that affects the final damage value. For example, if the base damage of a superpower is 521%, then with 2 allies of the Path of Nihility it increases to 833%. In order to get the maximum bonus from the trace "Thunder Core", before using a superpower the enemy must have 7+ stacks.
The overall increase in characteristics after upgrading all traces to the maximum level:
- Attack power - 28%.
- Crit damage - 24%.
- lightning dmg bonus - 8%.
Eidolons

Description of all const:
| E1 | Increases critical chance by 18% when dealing damage to enemies under debuffs. |
| E2 | The number of Path of Nihility characters required to obtain the maximum bonus from the Abyss trace has been reduced by 1. At the start of the turn, 1 stack of Slashed Dream is granted. In addition, 1 lvl of Crimson Knot status is inflicted on the enemy with the most stacks. |
| E3 |
|
| E4 | When enemies enter combat, they are given a weakness to Ultimate damage and increase their Ultimate damage taken by 8%. |
| E5 |
|
| E6 | Acheron's ultimate damage resistance break is increased by 20%. Basic and skill damage is also considered ultimate damage and reduces enemy toughness bar regardless of their vulnerability types. When breaking, the Shock effect is triggered. |
Best Acheron's Eidolons are E2,E4 and E6:
- E2 allows you to take one Path of Nihility character into your team to receive the maximum bonus from the “Abyss” trace, which expands the list of units. In addition, the eidolon makes it possible to gain stacks and points at the beginning of the turn - this, in turn, makes speed a more sought-after stat.
- E4 is useful for both the unit itself and its allies due to the increased damage dealt by super abilities. At the same time, the buff has no conditions for triggering and no time limits, meaning it exists stably throughout the entire battle.
- E6 Enhances the super ability, increasing break effect for resistance of all types (that is, regardless of the resistance of the enemies, they will take increased damage). Also modifies the damage of a normal hit and the skill in the ultimate. These skills ignore any types of weaknesses, receive bonuses from the fourth eidolon and other sources, such as planar set "Inert Salsotto".
How to play Acheron
The gameplay comes down to rapid accumulation of "Slashed Dream" charges and applying the "Crimson Knot" status on opponents during the battle (max. - 9). This is necessary for the constant use of the superpower, which is the key source of damage for the character. They are usually accumulated simultaneously, but can sometimes be distributed among several enemies.
In turn, to inflict increased DPS with the ult, it is important that there are as many stacks as possible on the target(s) - 7+ (ideally 9) to unlock the maximum buff from the Thunder Core trace. These stacks can be obtained independently or from external sources. Let's consider the options that allow you to gain charges of Slashed Dream and stacks of Crimson Knot:
- Red Oni Trace: At the start of the battle, 5 stacks and status levels are given.
- Technique: 1 stack of "Slashed Dream" and "Crimson Knot" after super ability.
- Skill: 1 stack and status on the selected enemy.
- Debuffs: When teammates apply a debuff, 1 stack is granted for both effects. This includes vulnerability break.
- E2: At the beginning of the turn, 1 stack is applied.
- Light cones: "Along the Passing Shore" (signature), Incessant Rain, Patience Is All You Need, Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat. Other Paths: "Trend of the Universal Market" (Preservation).

Key points in rotation:
- Before the start of the battle, it is recommended to use the technique. Thanks to this, you can instantly defeat ordinary monsters or receive bonuses in the form of additional ones at the start. damage at the beginning of the wave and Quadrivalent Ascendance, which gives a point and stack after the ult.
- When the Galactic Ranger is active, use the skill to deal damage to multiple targets and gain 1 additional stack of Crimson Knot and Slashed Dream.
- During the Path of Nihility's allied characters' turns, use skills that inflict debuffs first. Try to use them on enemies who already have stacks.
- After reaching 9 charges of "Slashed Dream", you can use the ultimate. Target a large enemy with the highest number of "Crimson Knot" status levels (preferably 7 or more). After that, press the ultimate button two more times to perform additional hits.
Recommendations for using superpowers:
- If there is only one small enemy with charges left on the battlefield, it is not recommended to use the ultimate right away. Finish off the target with any other attack so that all the Crimson Knots are transferred to the next wave, and only then activate the ultimate.
- If the stacks are distributed among several enemies, try to destroy small mobs first (without superpower) in order to transfer all available stacks to one largest enemy, for example, a boss or an elite monster.
Which Path to Choose in Simulated Universe
Erudition is the most optimal choice due to the increased damage from the super ability, which is Acheron's key skill. The Galactic Ranger greatly appreciates any buffs to the ultimate, which is why the blessings of this Path will allow you to clear content as quickly and effectively as possible.
To unlock Erudition, you must complete the mode of "Gold and Gears".
Alternative Paths:
- Nihility - Applies the negative statuses Burn, Shock, Bleed and 2 levels of Wind Shear to all enemies, which provides an additional stack of Crimson Knot and Slashed Dream. However, almost all bonuses are aimed at periodic damage, so it is advisable to have DoT characters in the squad.
- The Hunt - Offers a passive speed boost. Among the blessings there are also buffs for critical damage, crit. chance and attack power, which will bring a lot of benefits to Acheron. While the Hunt does not apply any debuffs, it does compensate with speed, action progression, and other buffs.

Strengths and Weaknesses
Let's look at the strengths and weaknesses of the Galactic Ranger:
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
| Universal damage dealerWith the right teammates and optimal build, Acheron is capable of dealing massive damage to one or more targets. She can handle any situation that occurs on the battlefield. | "Expensive" build. Being a classic representative of damage dealers, the unit needs fairly high critical values along with an optimal ratio of all stats, including attack power and speed. |
| Penetrates any vulnerabilities with ult. Thanks to the mechanics of the talent, the ultimate ignores all types of vulnerabilities, and also reduces the elemental resistance of enemies. After opening the last eidolon, the basic attack and skill similarly gain the ability to reduce toughness bars. | Signature cone and/or E2 desirable. The heroine is strong even without const with epic weapons, but the signature and E2 make the game more comfortable. For example, the cone increases crits, damage and damage from the ult, allows you to apply a debuff, and the eidolon allows you to take only one character of the Nihility for max. buff and get points/stacks at the beginning of the turn. |
| Own DPS bonuses. Despite the low base values in abilities, receives a huge number of percentage buffs from stacks of "Crimson Knot" on enemies, bonuses from traces of "The Abyss" and "Thunder Core", an additional increase to critical indicators, lightning damage and attack power. | A non-standard way to gain energy for an ult. The lack of need to restore energy is both a plus and a minus. With a normal energy bar, it can be filled by any hits, damage, and buffs from allies, which does not work in the case of Acheron. |
| Technology kills enemies without a fight. The Galactic Ranger can instantly defeat common monsters with the Red Karma mark without engaging in combat. This is useful not only in the open world, but also when clearing the Simulated or Divergent Universe. In addition, if you do not hit the enemy with a technique, you will not spend a technique point. | DPS depends on the team. The Abyss Trace provides a significant damage increase for the basic attack, skill, and super ability, but at least one Path of Nihility character must be present in the party to activate this buff. If you want the maximum bonus, two allies until E2 is unlocked. |
| Does not require energy recovery. The girl has a unique superpower, which requires not the usual energy, but a special charge of "Slashed Dream". Thanks to this, you can equip a connecting rope for attack power, thereby further increasing DPS and without thinking about the amount of energy. |
Best Acheron Builds in Honkai: Star Rail

The character takes the position of the main damage dealer, using a special mechanic of the ultimate, which deals multiple damage to the area and single targets. This ability is activated when there is a charge of "Slashed Dream" and does not require energy recovery. However, the standard DPS characteristics remain a priority, as for any other main DD:
- Focus should be on attack power, with which all the girl's skills are scaled. The tracks already contain many bonuses to damage, so the attack will balance the indicators.
- No less significant are CRIT Rate and DMG as an additional source of DPS increase and speed to get points/stacks from the skill and deal additional damage due to more frequent actions.
Note on speed: You can gain points to activate the ult even if you take action slowly, but only if your allies actively apply debuffs to enemies. Or, on the contrary, you can focus on speed and not rely on your partners. Let's compare and determine which Acheron build in HSR is preferable.
| Low speed build | High speed build |
| Easier build. | Requires significant investment. |
| Passive gameplay consisting of spamming ultimates. | More damage, but skill points are spent more actively. |
| Relies completely on allies and their speed. | Doesn't depend so much on the team. |
| Overall DPS is reduced. | It is desirable to have the signature cone or E2. |
Thus, both options have their "pros" and "cons", which makes them virtually equally viable depending on the player's personal preferences. However, due to the simplicity and the fact that the heroine always uses units of the Nihility in her classic team, the "slow" option becomes a little more popular.
Recommended Stats
Priority stats in artifacts:
| Relic | Main characteristic |
| Head | HP (fixed) |
| Hands | Attack Power (fixed) |
| Body | Crit. chance => crit damage |
| Boots | Attack Power > Speed |
| Planar Sphere | Attack Power > Lightning Damage |
| Link Rope | ATK |
Lower (additional) characteristics in relics and planar ornaments:
Speed (until reaching the required threshold) > Crit. chance = Crit. damage > Attack power
Optimal stat values that are recommended to have at max level:
- ATK: 2-900+.
- CRIT Rate: 80-90%+
- CRIT DMG: 160-180%+
- Speed: 101-121+ (“slow” build); 134-143+ (“speed” build)
- HP: 2-800.
- DEF: 800+.
Light Cone Rating
When choosing a weapon, it is worth giving preference to light cones related to the Path of Nihility and offering bonuses to damage, attack power, crits or speed.
| Cone | Effect | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 48-1058 ATK 28-635 DEF 18-369 | Increases critical damage by 36-60%. When the owner attacks an enemy target, inflicts the Mirage status on it for 1 turn. The effect can only be activated once per hit. The owner applies to 24-40% more damage to enemies with Mirage, and the damage of the super ability is additionally increased by 24-40%. | The Signature Cone is the perfect option that offers everything you need:
|
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 48-1058 ATK 26-582 DEF 21-463 | Increases EHR by 24-40%. When the owner deals damage to an enemy whose number of existing debuffs is greater than or equal to 3, his critical chance increases by 12-20%. After using a basic attack, skill, or super ability, there is a 100% chance to inflict the Ethereal Code status on the target. The damage received by the enemy under this status is increased by 12-20% for 1 turn. | Although there is no need for EHR, the cone gives a crit chance if the enemy has 3 or more debuffs, which is feasible in a team with Path of Nihility debuffers (at E0 there should be at least 2 such allies). At the same time, the weapon itself allows you to apply the Ethereal Code debuff. In a squad with Silver Wolf (assuming there is no signature or "Good Night and Sleep Well" S5), "Incessant Rain" is best given to the Galactic Ranger, and the Wolf should get Before the Tutorial Mission Starts Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 21-476 DEF 15-330 | Damage dealt is increased by 12-24% for each existing debuff on the target enemy. The bonus stacks up to 3 times and applies to damage over time. | At maximum casting, grants the owner a large increase in damage dealt for each debuff on the target. Considering that the squad usually has 2 representatives of the Path of Nihility, she will be able to consistently activate the entire bonus. The only drawback is the lack of a debuff, but this can be compensated by allies. |
Boundless Choreo ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 21-476 DEF 15-330 | The owner's critical chance is passively increased by 8-16%. Critical damage is increased by 24-48%, if the owner hits enemies with reduced defense or the Slow status. | At the fifth level of imposition, the weapon is comparable to the cone of "Good night and sleep well" and in some squads it may even be stronger than it, if you follow the conditions of the enhancement and select heroes like Welt and so on in the squad. Boundless Choreo due to the bonus makes it easier to find critical chance among relics. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 48-1058 ATK 26-582 DEF 21-463 | Increases damage dealt to debuffed enemies by 24-40%. When the wielder uses a skill, the chance to hit the effects of that attack is increased by 18-30%, and the attack power is 24-40%. | The light cone from the standard banner increases all DPS on enemies with debuffs, which means the buff is infinite due to the specifics of the girl's squad. Another "plus" is that when using the skill, the attack power of this ability increases. Recommended if you do not have "Good Night and Sleep Well" S5 or "In the Name of the World" has S2+. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 48-1058 ATK 26-582 DEF 21-463 | Damage dealt is increased by 24-40%. Each attack increases your speed by 4,8-8%. The effect can stack up to 3 times. When the wearer hits an enemy without the Erode status, has a base 100% chance to inflict this status on the target. An opponent with the Erode status is also considered to have the Shock status. An opponent with the Erode status takes periodic lightning damage equal to 60-100% of ATK of the owner, at the beginning of each turn for 1 turn. | A strong weapon with a buff to all DPS and a speed boost. An additional benefit is the Web status, which is considered a debuff and allows you to get extra points and stacks for the super ability. However, if the cone is already worn by Kafka, who is actively used, it is not worth moving the "card" to the Galactic Ranger. Especially if there are no less worthy weapons: "Good night and sleep well" or "In the name of the world". |
In addition to the “cards” discussed above, there are also alternative options:
- "Fermata" — a free weapon for the initial stages of the game. Potentially, the heroine can activate the bonus herself, as it imposes the "Shock" status after breaking vulnerability. There is a more convenient option - add Sampo or Black Swan to the squad, they provide both debuffs and Wind Shear.
- We Will Meet Again — the cone from the Battle Pass will not bring significant benefits, as it only offers additional damage after using a skill or a normal hit. However, it can be equipped if there is a maximum number of superimposition (or at least 4).
- Hidden Shadow и "Loop" — options are exclusive for beginners, if there are no alternatives. To implement the passive effect, Welt or Silver Wolf are good in the squad, since they are able to apply debuffs that reduce the speed of enemies.

Artifacts should provide the heroine with increased damage, attack power, crits and elemental damage.
Cavern relics
| Set | Effect | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
![]() | 2 parts: Increases damage dealt to enemies with Debuffs by 12%. 4 parts: Increases Critical Chance by 4%. The owner's Critical Damage to enemies with at least 2/3 debuffs is increased by 8%/12% respectively. After the owner inflicts debuffs on an enemy, the above effects are increased by 100% for 1 turn. | The set increases overall and critical damage for existing debuffs on the target, and also provides a stable bonus to critical chance. Overall, it offers many buffs and is especially effective with Signature Cone and other Path of Nihility characters. The unit applies a debuff even without the signature when using a super ability and reduces enemy resistance. |
![]() | 2 parts: Increases critical chance. 8%. 4 parts: Increases skill and super ability damage by 20%. After using a super ability, the damage of the next skill increases by 25%. | An alternative set with an increase in critical chance, increased skill damage and superpowers. Considering that the heroine mainly uses these skills, she will be able to implement the passive and, as a result, get useful enhancements. The relic's effectiveness only starts to "sag" in a low-speed build, since in this case the skill is used less often. |
![]() | 2 Piece: Increases lightning damage by 10%. 4 Piece: When the owner uses a skill, their attack power increases by 20% for 1 turn. | Another great option, which is about 6-7% worse than "Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters". Provides an increase to lightning damage, and most importantly - to attack power. The heroine does not have her own attack bonuses, which is why the characteristic becomes quite popular. Please note that the buff only lasts for 1 turn, so it is advisable to use the ult after the skill. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | 2 parts: Increases critical chance. 8%. + 2 parts: Increases damage dealt to enemies with Debuffs by 12%. 2 parts: Increases attack power by 12%. 2 Piece: Increases lightning damage by 10%. | Combination options with the "Scholar Lost in Erudition" set, which increases crit chance and thus simplifies the stat balance. Used if you can't get full sets with the required upper and lower stats. |
![]() | 2 parts: Increases attack power 12%. 4 parts: Increases speed by 6% and basic attack damage by 10%. | A versatile option for beginners with increased attack power and speed. Later it will be suitable as 2 parts for creating combinations with other suitable sets. |
![]() | 2 parts: Increases quantum damage by 10%. 4 parts: When dealing damage, the wearer ignores 10% of the enemy's defense. If the selected enemy has a quantum vulnerability, the owner ignores the extra. 10% protection. | Situational, but strong set with the appropriate equipment. In order to get maximum benefit from its use, it is recommended:
|
Planar ornaments
| Set | Effect | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
![]() | 2 parts: Increases attack power by 12%. The owner's crit chance increases by 12% if there is a character in the squad who follows the same Path. | One of the best ornament sets due to the increase in attack power and crit. chance. The second bonus is given only if there is another character Path of Nihility, which is also the main condition for the "Abyss" trace to work. When built correctly, the Galactic Ranger always has a representative of her path on the team, therefore, she receives all the buffs. |
![]() | 2 parts: Increases attack power by 12%. When speed reaches 120 or higher, attack power is increased by an additional 12%. | An easy-to-use set that requires only 120 speed. Due to its availability among the first worlds of Simulated Universe, before receiving the Izumo set, this set will be suitable, increasing attack power by 24%. |
![]() | 2 parts: Increases crit chance by 8%. If the owner's crit chance is greater than or equal to 50%, the damage of his super ability and bonus attack increases by 15%. | An additional option that can be equipped if the additional ATK boost is not needed (though the actual difference between the sets is minor anyway). The reason for this is that the superpower is the main "trump card" of the character. |
![]() | 2 parts: Increases the owner's attack power by 12%. If the owner's speed is greater than or equal to 135/160, the damage dealt by him becomes stronger by 12%/18%. | Glatiramer gives attack power and increases damage dealt. However, the heroine does not always collect enough speed to fully realize the bonus. However, if at least the min. requirement works or there are sources of speed increase in the squad, you can effectively use this set. If there are 160 speed and max increase from the passive effect, this set is better than Inert Salsotto. |
![]() | 2 parts: Increases crit. 8% chance. If critical chance is 70% (or higher), basic attack and skill damage increases by 20%. | The base attack and skill only make up a small part of the character's damage, so the set is inferior to its analog in the form of "Inert Salsotto". In addition, the Galactic Ranger already has a lot of bonus DPS, which is why ATK sets are initially more preferable. |
![]() | 2 parts: Increases crit. 4% chance. Defeating enemies increases crit. damage to the owner by 4%. The effect can stack up to 10 times per battle. | Not a bad option when it comes to content like Pure fiction, where you can easily get up to 10 kills (especially with equipment). Thus, the girl will quickly get 40% crit. damage. The set in question does not always pay for itself under standard conditions, so it is used to maximize damage inflicted in the appropriate mode. |
Squad Guide

Acheron's role in the team is to act as the main DD/hypercarry. The unit's mechanics are built in such a way that they "force" you to form a group around her, otherwise a lot of potential DPS is lost.
In addition, the composition may change depending on the eidolons. For example, for a squad on E0, 2 allies of the Nihility are needed to get the maximum bonus from the trace "Abyss". On E2, the situation becomes simpler - it is enough to use one more character of this path and add Harmony to increase the damage inflicted.
For experienced E0 players, there is also the option to use a team building strategy without healers or shielders: 2 allies of the Path of Nihility and 1 ally of the Path of Harmony. Then the damage can really be comparable to E2, but this style of play is not for everyone.
Which characters are suitable?
The table below shows the heroes that the Galactic Ranger benefits most from synergy with:
| Character | Damage Path and Type | Features |
|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() ![]() | The best Nihility for the heroine. A powerful unit whose skills are aimed at imposing the following debuffs:

![]() ![]() | Another great debuffer that can be combined with or replaced by Jiaoqiu in modes outside of Pure Fiction. It offers the following bonuses:
In addition, it is advisable to equip her with the signature light cone or other weapon with a negative effect. | |
![]() | ![]() ![]() | One of the best allies. Is a Path of Nihility character (activates the Abyss trace) and has various debuffs that give points of Slashed Dream and apply stacks of Crimson Knot:

![]() | ![]() ![]() | Budget epic version of the Path of Nihility debuffer. Grants the following debuffs:
|
![]() ![]() | The Stellaron Hunter doesn't have many debuffs in her arsenal, but like Black Swan, she can be a good teammate when combined with other DoT characters:

![]() | ![]() ![]() | Can be effectively teamed with Galactic Ranger if there is another DoT character like Kafka. Offers the following nerfs:

![]() | ![]() ![]() | A good ally if the heroine has E2 open. Provides pleasant buffs:

![]() | ![]() ![]() | In terms of functionality, it is not inferior to Iskorka and is a strong support that provides:
|
![]() | ![]() ![]() | Plays effectively thanks to powerful and versatile buffs (especially with E1):
|
![]() | ![]() ![]() | Strong Harmony character. All its positive effects are aimed at increasing overall damage, so to balance stats, it is advisable to max out the attack power in relics.
|
![]() | ![]() ![]() | An excellent support character for almost any squad:
|
![]() | ![]() ![]() | Hero of the Path of Preservation with the unusual mechanics of the Matrix, which transfers part of the damage received by the squad to Fu Xuan. Additionally:

Support characters that the girl can also interact with:

Alternative representatives of Preservation and Abundance for group survival:

To maximize damage, it is recommended to use the light cone on Path of Preservation heroes, Trend of the Universal Market. The weapon inflicts the Burn status when its wielder is attacked by enemies, which will provide additional Slashed Dream charge points and Crimson Knot status levels.
Examples of the best teams on E0
Compositions aimed at unlocking the character's potential without eidolons. The specifics of the “Abyss” trace are taken into account, which requires the presence of 2 allies of the Path of Nihility to obtain the maximum increase in damage.
| Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 | Character 4 | Features |

![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | A strong but "expensive" line-up that includes legendary characters:

![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | A variant with DoT heroes in the form of Black Swan and Kafka, who are perfect for each other and also help Ranger. In this case, she practically does not need to use the skill, since allies constantly apply debuffs:
|
![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | A budget build that allows you to quickly gain "Slashed Dream" points to activate the superpower.

![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | An alternative to the previous team:
|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | A difficult build to implement, capable of demonstrating huge damage figures, but having the disadvantage of low survivability.

These are only the examples. Depending on the characters on your account, you can use any combination of Path of Nihility heroes, and then supplement the squad with a healer/shielder or buffer, if there are no problems with survivability.
Examples of groups on E2
Teams designed for playing with a second eidolon. E2 "softens" the requirement for the trace and allows you to supplement the build with heroes of the Path of Harmony for an even greater increase in DPS. Also suitable for those who do not strive to fully utilize the trace.

![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | Tribbie, Ruan Mei, and Robin are other top-tier representatives of the Path of Harmony. They are ideal in squads consisting of several damage dealers, as their buffs are distributed to all allies. Since all heroes of Nihility are capable of damaging, any character on the account will do, for example, Silver Wolf or Guinaifen/Sampo. The last position is optimally taken by Lingsha or Huohuo. |

Is Jiaoqiu necessary for comfortably playing Acheron?
Jiaoqiu (Nihility: Fire) is considered a signature support for the heroine, as it provides her with all the necessary enhancements:
- Frequent debuffing, which provides additional charges and stacks.
- Increases damage output of the super ability, the unit's primary source of DPS.
- Is a character of Nihility, due to which he activates the bonus of the trace "Abyss".
However, despite the high synergy, he is not a must-have in a team with the Galactic Ranger. He is indeed the best choice when compared to other representatives of Nihility, but even without him, the girl is able to clear content without problems. In addition, the absence of Jiaoqiu is partly compensated by the Galactic Market cone on the shielder.
The only mode type where the hero actually makes the game significantly more comfortable is "Pure Fiction". There, he actually has no equal among other debuffers. But in this case, you may need to equip him with the weapon Solitary Healing for stable use of superpower.
Is The Character Worth Pulling?

Acheron is a strong damage dealer with a unique superpower mechanic that does not consume energy. Instead, you need to accumulate special stacks of the "Slashed Dream" during the fight to the maximum value. Despite the fact that the Galactic Ranger belongs to the debuff path, she is a classic main DD, and her DPS in some places surpasses the Hunt or Destruction characters.
At the same time, she is somewhat team dependent, as it requires Path of Nihility allies and debuffs on opponents to maximize damage. All this is complemented by a complex build due to the need for high critical stats, attack power and sometimes speed. However, these “minuses” are fully compensated by the impact that the heroine brings to the battle. In addition, its gameplay is quite simple and does not require strict rotation.
To sum it up, the character is worth picking for those who are looking for a powerful damage dealer who can handle even the most difficult content. And although she wields the lightning element, her ultimate ignores any type of vulnerability, which expands the scope of application. If we talk about whether the unit is suitable for F2P players, we can say that even without additional investments, the Galactic Ranger shows good results, but the presence of her signature or eidolons will make the game much more comfortable.
Which is better: signature or E2
To decide between obtaining a signature cone Along the Passing Shore or the second eidolon, let's consider both options:
- The signature offers a high increase in critical damage, allows you to apply a debuff and increases the damage of the super ability. All this significantly increases the heroine's own DPS and facilitates the balance of critical indicators. However, in the absence of E2, it forces you to play in specific builds, where there are at least two characters of Nihility, or to look for workarounds that require a greater contribution to Harmony supports or experience in gameplay without healers / shielders.
- E2 is a fairly expensive investment, but it expands the available teams, allowing them to be supplemented with representatives of other Paths. At the same time, the Abyss trace will continue to provide the maximum buff. Eidolon gives the opportunity to test Acheron in more diverse compositions and effectively implement it even without a shortage of Nihility. Especially if there are excellent alternative cones: "Incessant Rain" or "Good Night and Sleep Well" S5.
Thus, if you don't have a lot of Star Jades/want to save currency, and your account has at least two fully leveled Path of Nihility heroes, it's best to give preference to the signature weapon. Provided that you have enough jade, are ready to spend a lot and want to play in more compositions/don't have leveled debuffers, it's recommended to pay attention to the second Eidolon.
We hope this guide helped you put together the best build for Acheron and understand which teams to use her in Honkai: Star Rail. In the comments, ask any questions about the heroine so that the author or other players can help. In the special section, you can read about other builds.
