В patch 7.1 players Genshin Impact not only the first meeting with Queen face to face, but also a battle with Goddess of death RonovaHelping resolve the conflict will be the opera singer Vodyanitsa, already familiar from the previous storyline, and a new acquaintance, the leader of the Squad, Vesna. Both girls are expected in the first half of the banner, while the second will feature reruns of the sinner's apprentice Skirk and the cook Escoffier.
The version does not expect a new location, which is why it is difficult to gain a sufficient number of Primogems It will be quite difficult for all the characters, especially considering that the heroes in each phase are signature ones for each other.
An overview of the characters in the banners of Genshin Impact 7.1
To help you decide who to play in Update 7.1, we'll take a closer look at each of the featured heroes, including their capabilities in the current content.
Spring

Spring (Anemo, one-handed sword) — the main damage dealer, playing on reaction Star SwirlWhen fighting her, it's important to keep an eye on your Warrior's Courage stacks, which are spent on her enhanced skill. She can hit with it multiple times.
Despite her versatile element, Alv-Vila is restricted to groups due to Star Scattering, outside of which she can't perform well. In such lineups, she's one of the strongest main DPS, though she relies on the presence of Odette the Dancer and Vodyanitsa the Songstress. They can be replaced with budget alternatives like Traveler, Diona, Qiqi, and others, but this will be significantly worse.
Water lily

Vodyanitsa (Hydro, catalyst) — a pocket-sized support who functions differently depending on the squad she's in. She's a powerful debuffer and water-based target for groups affected by Freeze, as she reduces Cryo and Hydro resistances. If you put a squad into Star Dispersion, the water-based one can reduce Anemo resistance and increase the damage of this reaction.
The girl is essentially locked into two squad types, and her wide range of uses comes from switching her primary damage dealer. As a healer, she can complement established team combinations, for example, by supporting Furina's rapid fanfare sequence with her healing, but her signature companion is the elf Vesna.

Skirk

Skirk (Cryo, one-handed sword) She occupies the position of the primary damage dealer, playing with Freeze. Her teams lack diversity due to her passive, which limits them to Cryo and Hydro heroes. She's extremely dependent on Escoffier, without whom she can't fully realize her potential, making Escoffier a higher priority than acquiring the signature or constellations for the Sinner's Disciple.
Despite its long history, it is still capable of covering relevant content without much investment in itself, except for the team composition.
Escoffier

Escoffier (Cryo, spear) — a healer and secondary damage dealer at the same time, who thrives in teams with other Cryo and Hydro allies. Despite her narrow specialization, the cook can also be used in other groups as a Cryo applicator and healer—she excels in these roles even without a functioning passive.
The girl is Skirk's signature support, but she can be considered as a support for any Cryo damage dealer in the game, including those who play with Stellar Reactions, since she provides a lot of status for them.
Who to twist?
When choosing a character, consider not only their strength, but also their team and investment requirements:
| Spring | Water lily | Skirk | Escoffier | |
| Role in the team | Main-DD | Support | Main-DD | Support/Sub-DD |
| The best constellation | C0-C2 | C0-C2 | C0-C1 | C0-C1 |
| Dependence on the signal | Stronger than C1. If you're going straight to C2, it's not necessary if you have alternatives. | Not required, just for convenience. | Not necessary if there are alternatives | Not required |
| Is it worth it for a newbie to knock out? | Not if there is no Odette or at least Qiqi | No, if there is no Vesna, Skirk or other Cryo/Hydro DD | No, if there is no Escoffier | Yes |
| Is F2P suitable? | Yes | Yes | No | Yes |
Therefore, the choice should be made based on the needs of your own account and the heroes you like:
- If you need a primary damage dealer, you should pay attention to Spring or SkirkThey both require signature supports, but due to their newness, this isn't as critical for the Elf as it is for the Sinner's Disciple, and the Water One can be added to her during a rerun. They offer dynamic gameplay, each tied to a different reaction, so decide which is more suitable—Star Dispersion or Freeze.
- Water lily и Escoffier — strong supports who are more versatile than the damage dealers they're designed for. Both girls can boost groups with Freeze, and Escoffier, albeit with half her buffs, can fit into other teams, including Star Conductor. Watergirl is suitable for Cryo and Hydro characters, as well as teams with Star Dispersion, such as Vesna or Mizuki.
