Escoffier in Genshin Impact: Best Build

Guide to the best chef of Fontaine: what equipment to choose for the Cryo and Hydro buffer and which teams to put her in.

Escoffier with a knife and ladle in a chef's hat

In Genshin impact, Fontaine Chef Escoffier is a legendary secondary damage dealer, who also performs support tasks. The heroine can constantly hit from the pocket or apply elemental status for reactions. In addition to good damage, the cook applies debuffs to enemies and heals allies, and also has a unique ability that allows her to cook a certain number of dishes per week.

Due to her passive, Escoffier works better in teams of Hydro and Cryo characters, but she is not bound to such teams. If necessary, the heroine is able to work off Melt, since cutting resistances work in any case, only less effectively. Both damage and healing depend on one stat, which significantly simplifies the build.

How to Get the Character

Prayer "La Chanson Cerise"

Reran Escoffier will be in the second half of the banners the 6.4 update, March 17 to April 7, 2026To unlock the girl's constellations, you need to obtain her duplicates. Together with the cook, you'll have the opportunity to obtain her signature through parallel prayers. Symphonist of Scents.

Follow the updates in the banner schedule, so as not to miss the repeat of the desired characters.

Strengths and Weaknesses

As a combat unit, Escoffier combines several roles at once: sub-damage dealer, debuffer, and healer, and is an integral part of any Frozen team. She plays well with Hydro and Cryo companions, allowing other powerful supports like ronin Kazuha or Blacksmith Xilonen to other teams and strengthen existing damage dealers.

Strengths Weaknesses
Easy to build. Both damaging and healing skills depend on ATK, which makes it much easier to choose artifacts and weapons. Doesn't play to her full potential without Hydro and Cryo heroes. Although she is able to play in any team, teams with the mentioned elements will benefit greatly, since resistance to them is immediately reduced by 55%. However, using other debuffers, such as Xilonen or Kazuha, makes up for this.
Unique cooking mechanics. If you long press the elemental skill, the character cooks special dishes without any ingredients. Although the bonus only works once a week, it is unique to the game. For a full-fledged support role under Cryo, C1-C2 is highly recommended. These constellations grant 60% critical damage to ice attacks and also increase their damage by 240% of the heroine's ATK, making her buff similar to Shenhe's abilities. However, these constellations don't work with other elements, making them disadvantageous for teams without a Cryo main.
Strong sub-DSP reactor. Consistently hits enemies with Cryo from the pocket, allowing you to place her into both Frozen and other teams. When building for sub-DPS, there may be troubles with the ult cooldown.Since the girl prefers to use Elemental Burst in her rotation, she needs quite a large amount of energy recovery. To gain it, most often you will have to sacrifice damage.
Reduces Cryo and Hydro resistances. The girl takes teams through Freezing to a completely different level, being a kind of analogue for them officer Chevreuse, but more powerful for its reaction.
Deals high damage herself.Despite her secondary role in the team, she is capable of showing good results in battle.

The Best Escoffier Builds in Genshin Impact

In battle, the heroine plays both a sub-DD and a support role, although she's dependent on her ATK stat in either case, allowing her to focus on damage output without losing her potential as a healer. The chef from Fontaine needs to use her Elemental Burst as often as possible, so any build will require focusing on her energy regeneration. Escoffier's build should be balanced to ensure she can perform well in all roles.

Recommended Stats

Based on skill scaling, Escoffier should be built into attack power. This stat should be looked for in both the clock and additional stats. However, her personal damage is quite high, so it's best to prioritize her when choosing a Cryo goblet, and not the ATK one, unless you have problems with survivability.

The balance of Critical Chance and Critical Damage should be the same as for regular sub-DDs, adjusted for additional critical chance from other sources. To regularly reset her ultimate, the heroine needs energy recharge: Her Elemental Burst costs 60 mana.

Teams

Teams for Escoffier should prioritize Hydro and Cryo characters, as the enemy resistance reduction to these elements depends on the number of such companions. However, she can be used in other groups, despite the lack of or weaker debuff, as a strong Cryo applicator and healer.

Recommended characters

Since the heroine is a sub-DPS with support skills, she plays best with strong buffers and damage dealers, but can also be combined with secondary DPS.

Priority Allies

List of heroes that have the best synergy or interesting mechanical combos and are able to play with Escoffier in different variations:

CharacterElementWeaponInteraction
SandroneCryoClaymoreAlthough Sandrone plays Star Conductor rather than Freeze, Escoffier is currently one of her best allies. Ideally, a party consists of three Cryo and one Electro hero.
SkirkCryoSwordPerfect Cryo damage dealer for Furina, who can even be called a signature due to similar mechanics and dependence on Frozen. Together they will complete Cryo resonance and receive buffs from allies of the Hydro element.
FurinaHydroSwordFurina is able to take one slot in a team and, due to her element, cut resistances. Thanks to the cook, she will quickly accumulate maximum fanfares due to her own decrease in HP and the powerful healing of the Cryo buffer.
CitlaliCryoCatalystAdditionally reduces enemy resistance. With a team consisting of only Hydro and Cryo characters, this will provide 75% cut of resistance to Hydro and 55% to Cryo.
NeuvilletteHydroCatalystAlthough resistance cut is important for Nevillette, it is worth considering that in a Hydro+Cryo team he will not be able to fully activate his passive for buffing his charged attack. This is partly balanced if the judge has his C1.
WriothesleyCryoCatalystWriothesley is a demanding main DPS who wants a lot of investment. Having a cook in the group will allow you to take his game to a new level.
YelanHydroBowThe buffs to all damage dealt that come with her ult help balance a group in all aspects: resistance cut and universal damage affix.
SpringAnemoSwordDamage dealer from Star Scattering. Adding her to a group with Odette and Vodyanitsa isn't beneficial: it's better to take her if the Prima Donna isn't on your account to replenish the healing needs, as well as the Cryo Status and Resonance for the Ballerina.

If the choice of companions is limited and it is important to meet the condition of having two elements in your team, you can use a second support hero instead of any sub-DPS. An additional healer will work better for comps with Archon Furina, to get Fanfare stacks faster, and a Shielder will benefit groups where the main DPS doesn't have any built-in interrupt resistance.

Examples of strong teams

While building teams, pay attention to how the cook's passive works. Resistance cut only works in full if the team consists of Cryo and Hydro companions only. If getting full buff is not vital or needed at all, the girl can easily fit in any team as a Cryo sub-DPS and healer.

Frozen with Cryo Main-Dps

Groups where the primary damage dealer is an Ice-elemental character. C1 is useful for such teams, especially if there are three Cryo heroes in the group, including the girl herself.

Skills

Escoffier's Ability

Escoffier possesses skills that combine the abilities of both a sub-DD and a support. She deals decent damage to enemies from the pocket, triggering various reactions, and additionally reduces their resistance to Hydro and Cryo. In addition to dealing damage, she can heal the entire team and prepare various dishes by absorbing elemental attacks using a special mechanism.

Basic (Active) Skills

The girl's skill set utilizes both abilities: her E ability for damage and debuffs, and her Ultimate for healing. Her passive mechanics are designed to buff allies and maintain their health.

Kitchen Skills

Source of damage: ATK.

Normal hit: up to three spear strikes.

Charged Strike: consumes some stamina and hits from the bottom up.

Plunging Attack: descends to the ground and attacks in an area after landing.

Low-Temperature Cooking

Source of damage: ATK.

Cooldown: 15 seconds

Cold Storage mode duration: 20 seconds

The skill can be used with a tap or hold, which will give different effects.

Quick press:Activates the All-Spectrum Multi-Use Cooking Mek in its Cold Storage mode, dealing Cryo damage to nearby enemies in an area.

Long press:Activates the All-Spectrum Multi-Use Cooking Mek's Off-the-Cuff Cookery Mode.

Cooking Mek: Cold Storage Mode - follows the active character and periodically deals Cryo damage to enemies.

Arkhe: Ousia - Once in a while after activating a quick press of the elemental skill, summons a Surging Blade, dealing Ousia-aligned AoE Cryo DMG.

Scoring Cuts

Source of damage and healing: ATK.

Cooldown: 15 seconds

Enegry consumption: 60

Deals Cryo damage to enemies in an area and restores HP to all allies based on attack power.

Passive Skills

In addition to active abilities, she has some skills that work passively and give her additional advantages. They do not require leveling, but become available as the character levels up.

Constant Off-the-Cuff Cookery

After using the Low-Temperature Cooking elemental skill, long press activates her All-Spectrum Multi-Use Cooking Mek in its Off-the-Cuff Cookery mode.

  • While placed on the field, absorbs elemental attacks. When the amount of energy absorbed reaches a certain value, the ingredients placed inside are converted into food.
  • You can only cook a certain number of dishes per week. Limits are refreshed on Mondays 4:00.

Better to Salivate Than Medicate

After using the Scoring Cuts elemental burst, Escoffier gains the effect of Rehab Diet for 9 sec: once every 1 sec. restores HP of the active character nearby based on 138.24% of Escoffier's attack power.

Inspiration-Immersed Seasoning

When there are 1/2/3/4 Hydro or Cryo characters in the party, her elemental skill Low-Temperature Cooking or her elemental burst Scoring Cuts hitting an enemy will reduce their Hydro or Cryo resistance by 5%/10%/15%/55% for 12 sec.

Talent Leveling Order

Elemental Skill (E) > Elemental Burst (Q) > Normal Attacks (Optional)

Escoffier's abilities are kind of equal in terms of their utility, so it is recommended to upgrade them simultaneously, with the following priority:

  1. Elemental Skill - Used throughout the entire battle and provides a lot of both passive damage and stable status infliction, which is why it needs to be levelled first and foremost to increase damage.
  2. Elemental Burst is a source of healing in large amounts and also good additional damage. For this reason, it should be levelled simultaneously with the E-attack.
  3. Normal attacks are not used, so there is no need to level them up.

Constellations

Name The effect
1. Dance of Appetizing Anticipation If there are four Hydro or Cryo characters in the party, after Escoffier uses the elemental skill Simmering or the elemental burst Slicing, the critical damage of Cryo attacks from all nearby party members is increased by 60% for 15 seconds. Requires the passive talent Spice Inspiration unlocked.
2. Aromatic roast is an art When Escoffier activates the Cooking Mek in Fridge Mode, she gains the effect of Fresh Meal for 15 seconds: Escoffier is granted 5 stacks of Cold Bites while it is active. Whenever an active character nearby, excluding Escoffier, deals Cryo damage to enemies during this time with a normal attack, a charged attack, a falling attack, an elemental skill, or an elemental burst, 1 stack of Cold Bites is consumed and the damage dealt is increased by 240% of Escoffier's attack power. If the damage of the same Cryo attack hits multiple enemies at the same time, the stacks of Cold Bites will be subtracted according to the number of enemies hit.
3. The baking magic of caramelization Increases the level of Simmer Cooking by 3. Max level: 15.
4. Secret Rosemary Recipe Increases the duration of Restorative Diet by 6 sec. While Restorative Diet is active, activating a heal with Restorative Diet has a chance to increase the amount healed by 100% and restore 2 units of Escoffier's energy. This chance is equal to Escoffier's critical hit chance. This effect can be activated up to 7 times during the same Restorative Diet. Requires the passive talent Good Food is Better than Medicine to be unlocked.
5. Symphony of a Thousand Sauces Increases the level of the Slicing Technique skill by 3. Max. level: 15.
6. Colourful tea parties Cooking Mek: Fridge Mode gains a buff: Whenever your party's active character hits enemies with a Normal Attack, Charged Attack, or Falling Attack, Cooking Mek: Fridge Mode will release an additional special Frosty Parfait that deals AoE Cryo DMG equal to 500% of Escoffier's Attack Power. This damage is considered Elemental Skill DMG. This effect can occur once every 0,5 seconds, and can occur up to 6 times during the same Cooking Mek: Fridge Mode.

Escoffier's best constellations are С1, С2 и С6.

  • The first constellation significantly boosts all the Cryo damage of the team due to additional CRIT DMG, provided that the entire team consists of Cryo and Hydro heroes. Since the girl most often plays in such teams, the constellation will bring benefits and increase damage.
  • The second constellation grants Cold Dish stacks the girl needs to consume, after spending a certain amount of stacks allies get gamage boost. The effect is activated only by Cryo strikes, which forces you to play in Frozen teams. The constellation allows Escoffier to additionally play the role of a buffer, similar to Shenhe, with larger buff multipliers.
  • The sixth constellation increases Escoffier's potential as a secondary damage dealer and adds 6 high-value hits to the rotation. The constellation doesn't grant anything other than damage, but is still a pretty good way to empower the character.

How to play Escoffier

Her skills are fairly simple, and she plays like a classic pocket damage dealer. The main goal is to activate her elemental skill and then escape before it refreshes. Fontaine's Chef's Elemental Burst not only heals allies but also deals decent damage, so it's recommended to use it as it cools down.

As for reducing enemy resistance to Hydro and Cryo, it is enough to hit the enemies with an ult or skill, so the debuff will always be active in battle.

Rotation

Skill Order: use abilities of supports and other sub-DPS > Escoffier's elemental skill (E) > elemental burst (Q) > abilities of the main damage dealer > elemental burst and elemental skill (as they come off cooldown).

Detailed rotation looks like this:

  1. Start the fight with the abilities of supports and sub-DPS. Since the Fontaine cook deals her own damage and is able to trigger reactions, she will need buffs and elemental status on enemies.
  2. Switch to Escoffier and use her elemental skill that hits from the pocket and lowers enemies' resistance to Cryo and Hydro.
  3. Her Elemental Burst can be used as it builds up to deal additional damage, as well as for emergency healing.
  4. Afterwards, main DPS enters the field and performs their rotation for the enemies with lowered resistances.

Is The Character Worth Pulling?

Escoffier is a specialized Hydro and Cryo support in Genshin Impact, so she's not needed for every account. Her units rely on the Frozen reaction with the main damage dealers of these elements. As an exception, she can be used as a regular sub-DD for Cryo reactions, but her utility in this build is negligible.

She can use quite a few weapon options, including epic gear, making her beginner-friendly. The need for ATK as a key stat makes it easier to farm artifacts for, but for greater comfort, you will have to get high energy recharge rate. In addition, the heroine almost does not need to be present on the battlefield and therefore frees up a lot of time for the main damage dealer.

C1 or signature weapon

When choosing whether to invest in Escoffier's first constellation or her signature weapon, it's important to consider the team the character is used in:

  • If the team is based on a Cryo damager and consists of Hydro and Cryo heroes only, it is more profitable to pull for the first const. CXNUMX investments will also pay off.
  • If you main DPS is a Hydro hero or you prefer comps with other elements, C1 provides almost no benefit. In such a case it is better to take the weapon, since its effect is not tied to the stats of the allies.

Character history and lore

Escoffier is a popular chef from Fontaine. She used to work at Hotel Debord, but now runs her own restaurant where she cooks delicious dishes. She is more interested in using different technologies in cooking than traditional cooking, which has made her famous throughout the Hydro Kingdom, often appearing in The Steambird's Gourmet Column.

In addition to using technology, the girl is engaged in a thorough analysis of national cuisine, rethinking old dishes and inventing new ones based on acquired knowledge. The girl is always very strict to herself and her dishes, despite the large amount of praise from critics. Her rigor extends to the managing the restaurant, since she selects and orders products for it with extraordinary care.

Guys, what do you think:
Is it better to have Escoffier s1p1 or Escoffier s2p0? (As for weapons, either Celestial Axis or Favonius).
I just couldn't choose anything 🥲
Or should I just knock out Vodyanitsa?
Team: Skirk s0r1, Escoffier s1, Sitlali s0, Furina s0. (there is Ye Lan s0).

What do you guys think, should I try Escofi right now? I don't have Skirk and I don't plan on using it, it's already losing ground. The only Cryo DD I have is Sandron, and she has Alesha, Chichi S3, and Odetta in her pack. Is it worth using it with Sandron? Or is it unnecessary?

Listen, what should we bet on Escoffier in the Sandrone-Odette-Yae-Escoffier squad?
They seem to recommend a support set, but I have a mediocre Golden Troupe build for the Skirk squad, I don’t know if it’s worth changing.

Scrolls of the Hero of the Burned City. Especially for Escoffier at Skirk, she's hypercarrier, so why would she need troupe damage when she needs the scrolls' buff?

What's the point? She won't realize it. It's okay to be in Skir's squad at Citlali, but Sandrona won't see the night spirit.

The entire squad consistently receives a 12% bonus to elemental damage

In my opinion, Millelite's durability will be better than the troupe's if Escoffier's damage in the golden troupe is less than 20% of Sandrone's attack power.

Can you tell me which is better: C2 on Escoffier or C0 Vodyanitsa? I just wanted to finish off C2 with her to get decent damage, but I also wanted Vodyanitsa. Team: Skirk C0 with a signature, Escoffier C1 without a signature, Sitlali with a scroll and an epic, Furina C0 without a signature. I just wanted to decide in advance which is better. I need Sitlali for Harlequin too, but they say Vodyanitsa is good in a Skirk pack, but C2 is preferable for her in such a pack. The current information about Vodyanitsa is that at C0 she reduces 26% of Hydro and Cryo (I also have Ye Lan C0P0, and I don't plan on getting Shen He). The difference between Vodyanitsa and Shen He is 10%, which seems pretty good, and she also heals a lot. So far, I'm leaning more toward C2 Escoffier, as it sounds a bit better than spending money on a separate character when I have Sitlali. I'll say upfront that I'm a F2P player and was just lucky to get C1 Escoffier for a single 10. If I hadn't gotten that, I wouldn't have even used C1 for Escoffier. For now, I'm hoping I'll have enough for a little bit of a guarantee. This is only considering that Escoffier will be in the second half of 7.1, as will Vodyanitsa. But if Escoffier is in the first half, it'll only be enough for one leg, and I'm not guaranteed to get it. 🥲 Sorry for being so blunt, I was just trying to express my thoughts as clearly as possible. I want them all, but I only have enough for one. I'm not planning on using Vesna either, but I do have Mizuki and C2 Odette.

I'm having the same dilemma, but I'm also thinking about getting C2 Escoffier (I have C2 Elan, Sitlali, and Tartaglia, but I'd like to get Risley or another Cryo damage dealer later). For Skirk, I think Escoffier is better (she has a very big buff to Freeze). Sitlali seems to provide damage reduction even if there's only one Hydro character). Although, if you want to play with Star Superconductor, then Vodyanis is better (but I don't understand this reaction yet: it seems to reduce resistances, but it seems more focused on reducing physical damage...) But ideally, play characters you like 🙂 I still close all the content with Abyss on Tartaglia 😅

Another option is to take the c1p1 Escoffier. For Star Reactions, I got the c2 Odette (just luck). I'm a regular f2p, so I have to think everything through thoroughly. Anyway, thanks for answering!

Oh, I'm thinking about C1P1 too. It's just unclear what characters will be released in Snezhnaya and what game mechanics they'll have. I also like Mitya, but he's kind of an electric hero... And then C2 loses a bit of its point. But then again, Escoffier is a sub DPS, so I hardly attack with her (in terms of physical damage). So C1P1 doesn't seem to make much sense either.

It's better to take C2 then, especially for Skirk. And it seems like Snow Escoffier is often used for Persians. I lost on Odette, so now I'm thinking: should I take C2 on Escoffier as a guarantee or wait for Mitya/Odette's rerun 😅

Why didn't they add a kite to the weapon?) It seems to fit her well.

I agree, that's how it's set up for me. The business signal is also oh so good.
