Beidou in Genshin Impact: Build and Command Guide

Fleet Captain Li Yue's Guide: How to Choose the Right Gear and Form Your Squads

Beidou on the bow of the ship.

В Genshin Impact Captain Beidou serves as the squad's Electro elemental applicator, and can also act as a reactor and parry. While holding down the skill, the heroine assumes a stance, deflecting a barrage of enemy attacks and building up power for a powerful strike. During her ultimate, she surrounds herself with an electric vine and barrier. The discharges bounce between targets during her active companion's normal and charged attacks, allowing her to close out reactions.

Epic rarity doesn't prevent the captain from supporting the entire team with elemental status effects, and her position as a pocket-sized sub-damage dealer eliminates the need for stat balancing. The heroine excels in a squad with Charged, Overload, and even Dendro-based packs.

How to Get the Character

Wanderlust Banner in the game

Beidou is a 4-star character who can be dropped at any time from the standard and weapon banners at a random chance. Her drop rate in the event banner also increases from time to time.

In addition, the heroine can be purchased in Paimon's Store with Masterless Starglitter в February и August.

Keep an eye on reruns and new character releases in our banner schedule.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Beidou is a good sub-DD character who deals a lot of damage, but he has his own advantages and disadvantages. We'll discuss them in more detail in the attached table.

Strengths

Weaknesses

It is a convenient pocket damage dealer that deals a lot of elemental damage. The Captain's Elemental Burst is quite expensive, so to keep it active you'll need to collect VE or add a second Electro to your squad as a battery.
With constellations, it gains convenient support functions - it creates a shield that increases stability, and also reduces the enemies' resistance to its element. The ult does not work on characters whose attacks are not normal and charged (for example, b/a Raiden after activating the Elemental Burst). It's most effective when paired with players who mostly deal damage with their hands.
Capable of absorbing quite a lot of damage with a long press of the skill, which increases the survivability of the squad. Is very dependant on constellations in order to bring more benefits to the squad, since the full potential of the character is revealed only with consts.
Possesses the Electro element, which allows her to join most teams through reactions, especially with Dendro and Hydro. If you want to gain anything other than status, you need to balance your VE, ATK, and critical mass. For Dendro units and in Charged, prioritize MS over ATK.
The passive skill that reduces the cost of stamina while swimming is useful when exploring new territories in order to get to hard-to-reach places. It takes time to charge the skill to its maximum, which is sometimes disadvantageous when you need to deal a lot of damage instantly.

Best Beidou Builds in Genshin Impact

Beidou smiles.

Beidou is a secondary damage dealer whose primary purpose is to inflict elemental status effects for subsequent reactions. This means that this character requires not only ATKbut also a good balance of critical mass. In addition, the captain needs to ult as often as possible, so it is extremely necessary for her energy recharge.

If the heroine plays in squads through reactions, mainly with Dendro, she will benefit from EM. But it’s not worth gaining this stat much and looking for it in the main characteristics of artifacts, a small amount from substats will suffice.

HP is only useful for increasing long-press absorption of elemental skills and shield strength. For a girl, the ability to protect her party is merely a nice bonus, not her primary purpose, so there's no need to increase HP through equipment and weapons. In the following sections, we'll look at how to create the best Beidou build in Genshin Impact.

Recommended Stats

Even though the captain needs to deal as much damage as possible, energy recharge is one of the most important characteristics to look for in watches and additional stats. If this characteristic is high enough (for example, if the heroine has a sword on the VE), the watch can also be taken on ATKIn the cup you need to take the Electro bonus, and in the crown - crit chance or crit , depending on the situation.

For maximum efficiency, you should look for the following characteristics in artifacts:

The Beidou assembly should include the following optimal characteristic values:

  • ATK: 1500 and more.
  • VE: is worth keeping around 180-220, depending on the presence of a second Electro in the squad, with which they can work as mutual batteries.
  • Critical mass It is recommended to collect in a ratio of 1:2, where for every 60 critical chance there is 120 critical chance or higher.
  • Elemental Mastery: Around 80-150 when playing through reactions, especially in a Dendro squad. However, it's not recommended to overdo it with this stat.

Top weapons

Beidou's weapons should cover her needs for important stats and help balance her stats. Swords that focus on ATK or crit are best. A weapon with energy regeneration in its stats is the best choice, as this allows her to focus on increasing damage with her items and using her ultimate on cooldown.

NameDescriptionRecommendation
Wolf's Gravestone
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Base ATK:
46 ~ 608
ATK:
10,8% ~ 49,6%
Increases attack power by 20%~40%. When hitting a target with less than 30% HP, increase the attack power of all party members by 40%~80% for 12 seconds. The best weapon for a captain. Increases her own damage and buffs her team. Artifacts should be designed to maximize critical strikes and energy regeneration so she can use her ultimate on cooldown.
Skyward Pride
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Base ATK:
48 ~ 674
Energy Recharge:
8% ~ 36,8%
Increases damage dealt by 8%~16%. Activating an elemental burst and being hit by normal or charged attacks launches a blade that deals 80%~160% damage to all enemies in its path. Lasts 20 seconds. or 8 intangible blades.A high base attack, a passive to increase damage and restore energy will help in a comfortable game and inflicting high damage. It is better to take the clock for attack power, and get addditional stat with artifacts, since energy recovery is already in the sword’s characteristic.
Serpent Spine
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Base ATK:
42 ~ 510
Crit Rate:
6% ~ 27,6%
While the character is in combat, every 4 sec. Increases their damage dealt by 6%~10% and their damage taken by 3%~1,8%. Can stack up to 5 times, does not reset on character change, loses 1 stack when damaged.Since the heroine plays from the pocket and has a counterattack on E, she does not take damage, so she can constantly maintain the weapon buff.
Talking Stick
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Base ATK:
44 ~ 565
Crit Rate:
4% ~ 18,4%
Increases ATK by 16-32% for 15 sec. after receiving a Pyro effect. This effect can occur once every 12 sec. After receiving the effects of Hydro, Cryo, Electro or Dendro, elemental damage bonus for 15 sec. increases by 12-24%. Can occur once every 12 sec.The heroine can easily activate the weapon's passive ability. In her case, the bonus will be increased elemental damage. If the captain plays with Kazuha or a Geo character in the set Archaic Petra, then the bonus from the weapon is not so valuable, since Electro damage goes as an exaltation stat and she does not need a lot of buffs on this stat.
The Unforged
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Base ATK:
46-608
ATK:
10,8%-49,6%
Increases shield durability by 20%-40%. On hit, increases attack power by 4%-8% for 8 sec. The effect can stack up to 5 times and occur every 0.3 seconds. In addition, while protected by a shield, the attack power bonus of this effect is increased by 100%.Provides significant attack power, which is useful when energy regeneration is slow and the team lacks an ATK buffer. With C1, the heroine gains a shield, allowing her to fully utilize the weapon's potential.
Akuoumaru
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Base ATK:
42-510
ATK:
9%-41,3%
The elemental burst damage of the character equipped with this weapon is increased by 0,12%-0,24%for each point of max. energy of each member of the squad. Damage bonus cannot exceed 40%-80%.In teams with expensive ultimates and an ATK buffer, this weapon rises to the top when awakened. But even without awakenings, this sword is one of the best, as it grants a damage affix to the elemental burst.
Ultimate Overlord's Mega Magic Sword
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Base ATK:
44-565
Energy recharge:
6.7%-30.6%
Increases ATK by 12%/15%/18%/21%/24%. That's not all! The support from all Melusines you've helped in Merusea Village fills you with strength! Based on the number of them you've helped, your ATK is increased by up to an additional 12%/15%/18%/21%/24%.The best free option on full awakenings. The sword does not provide affixes, but it increases energy recovery, and due to the high base attack power and additional substat it allows you to create a good balance of stats. With this sword, the clock can be set to both attack and restore energy, depending on the substats in the artifacts.
Tidal Shadow
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Base ATK:
42-510
ATK:
9%-41,4%
Attack power after being healed is increased by 24-48% for 8 sec. The effect works even when the character is not on the battlefield. A crafted two-handed weapon is suitable for the builds where energy restoration is gained with artifacts. The passive effect should be activated before the ult by healing from the healer in order to launch an elemental burst under the buff.
Forest Regalia
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Base ATK:
44 ~ 565
Energy recharge:
6,7% ~ 30,6%
The Burning, Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon statuses create a Consciousness Seed near the character that lasts for 10 seconds. The character who picks it up gains 60 Elemental Mastery. for 12 sec. A consciousness seed can spawn every 20 sec.A good option for teams with Dendro heroes when you need to boost your main damage dealer with Elemental Mastery. This weapon will allow the heroine not only to deal damage but also to buff her main damage dealer.
Katsuragikiri Nagamasa
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Base ATK:
42 ~ 510
Energy Recharge:
10% ~ 45,9%
Increases elemental skill damage by 6-12%. When Eshka hits an enemy, the character loses 3 energy, but recovers 3-5 energy every 2 seconds. for the next 6 sec. The effect occurs once every 10 sec.The most versatile crafting option that works in any team. It helps with energy regeneration and increases damage from elemental skills.
Favonius two-handed swordFavonius Greatsword
Base ATK:
41 ~ 454
Energy Recharge:
13,3% ~ 61,3%
Critical attacks have a 60-100% chance to create elemental particles that restore 6 energy. The effect works every 12-6 seconds.A rather weak option in terms of damage due to its small base attack, but this is compensated by a huge amount of energy recovery. If the captain is the only Electro hero in the team, it is better to choose this particular sword, as it will solve all possible problems with energy.
Sacrificial Greatsword
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Base ATK:
44 ~ 565
Energy Recharge:
6,7% ~ 30,6%
Elemental skill hits have a 40%~80% chance to restore their own cooldown. May occur once every 30~16 seconds.A weaker alternative to the Favonius Greatsword. It will give less energy recovery, and instead of additional energy spheres, it will roll back the elemental skill. However, the base attack of the weapon is higher, so more pure damage will come out with this sword.
Blade of Redemption
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Base ATK:
44 - 565
ATK:
6,0 - 27,6%
After activating Elemental Reaction, Elemental Mastery is increased by 64-128 for 12 seconds. If Star Conduit or Star Dispersal is activated, Attack Power is also increased by 16-32% for 12 seconds. This effect occurs even if the equipped character is not on the battlefield. An option for squads with Star Conductor. However, it requires careful rotation: for the passive to work, Beidou must close the reaction herself while still on the field. Otherwise, she'll just be a crit stick.

To select equipment for other characters, use weapons tier list.

Choosing Artifacts

Beidou's artifacts, like her weapons, need to be chosen based on her stat needs. To achieve maximum effectiveness, it's recommended that she not only complete a full set but also carefully select substats. The best options include sets that boost energy regeneration, ultimate damage, and reactions and Electro damage.

NameDescriptionRecommendation
Emblem of Severed Fate
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
2-Piece Bonus: Energy recovery +20%
4-Piece Bonus: Increases elemental burst damage by an amount equal to 25% of ER. Max bonus is 75%.
The best choice for a captain. Aim for a full set, as it enhances the heroine's main source of damage. elemental burst, and also facilitates the gaining energy for activation on cooldown.
Noblesse Oblige
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
2-Piece Bonus:
Increases elemental burst damage by 20%.
4-Piece Bonus:
Activating an elemental burst increases the attack power of all party members by 20% for 12 seconds.
Increases the ultimate's damage and boosts allies' ATK. A good option if your team lacks attack power buffers.
Thundersoother
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
2 parts: Electro resistance +40%.
4 parts: Increases damage against enemies affected by Electro by 35%.
Simultaneously increases damage from all skills when the condition is met. The set will only trigger in-game from Charged or Stimulated reactions, as only Hydro and Dendro status effects can be present on an enemy simultaneously, along with Electro, for the set's effect to activate.
Thundering Fury
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
2-Piece Bonus: Electro Damage +15%.
4-Piece Bonus: Increases the damage of the Overloaded, Charged, Superconduct, and Hyperbloom reactions by 40%. Aggravate reaction damage is increased by 20%. Activating any of these reactions reduces the cooldown of an elemental skill by 1 second. The effect triggers every 0,8 seconds.
The second part of the 4-piece effect (E-class cooldown reduction) won't work from the pocket, so the full set will only boost her elemental reactions. It's advisable to look for energy regeneration in the artifact stats to ensure the ultimate is active during cooldown.
Gilded Dreams
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
2-Piece Bonus: Elemental Mastery +80 points.
4-Piece Bonus: After triggering an elemental reaction, the character receives a buff for 8 seconds. For each hero of their element in the squad, they get 14% attack power, and for each character of a different element - +50 elemental mastery. The effect works no more than once every 1 seconds and can appear even if the wielder of the set is not on the battlefield.
She doesn't need a lot of Elemental Mastery, as she doesn't often use Reactions, but this stat will still be beneficial. The set will also alleviate any issues with attack power, allowing her to focus on energy regeneration in her substats.
Thundering Fury / Gladiator’s Finale / Shimenawa's Reminiscence
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
2-Piece Bonus: Electro Damage +15%.
2-Piece Bonus: Attack Power +18%.
Good 2+2 effects with clock or weapon energy regeneration to make up for the low amount of attack.
Thundering Fury / Emblem of Severed Fate
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
2-Piece Bonus: Electro Damage +15%.
2-Piece Bonus:
Energy recovery +20%
Suitable for the first time. It will make it easier to set the ult and increase its damage.

Teams

She's a versatile character who can be used in various teams as a sub-damage dealer. Since she specializes in status damage, Beidou's squads should include a primary damage dealer and supports. When choosing allies, keep in mind that her ultimate is only triggered by normal and charged attacks, so it doesn't work on those whose damage is attributed to elemental bursts or elemental skills (e.g., Raiden or Nilou).

Recommended characters

Let's take a closer look at the heroes that perform well in teams with a captain.

Damage dealers

Characters that will deal the main damage in the group:

CharacterElementWeaponRecommendation
SandroneCryoClaymoreTheir synergy truly comes into its own on Beidou's C6, when she gains the ability to cut Cryo Resistance and increase MS.
OdetteCryoSwordAllows Beidou to activate her passive ability, Witch's Prophecy, granting a small amount of status and off-field damage. Ideal for both new Snow heroes and existing ones who have received the buff.
CynoElectroPolearmA primary main damage dealer. It will shut down Electro Resonance when played with it, but will also increase Saino's damage with C6 by reducing enemies' Electro resistance.
FischlFischlElectroBowThe best Electro partner. He also deals damage from his pocket and helps with energy boosting for his ultimate.
Yae MikoElectroCatalystCan be used as a second sub-DD and primary damage dealer. Has an expensive ultimate, making it suitable for a captain with Akuomaru.
TighnariDendroBowThe heroine's ultimate mechanic allows it to be activated through charged attacks, so Tignari plays well with it in teams with Stimulation.
AlhaithamDendroSwordDendro is a damage dealer. He has a long stance, the duration of which matches well with the heroine's ultimate.
NahidaDendroCatalystDriver and pocket damage dealer. Plays well in Quicken, and due to the Electro element he receives a buff to reduce the interval of the E.
XingqiuXingqiuHydroHydroSwordHydro sub-DD. His ultimate reduces damage taken and heals after its effect wears off. If the heroine has C1, he can be teamed with him without a healer or shielder.
AyatoHydroHydroSwordHydro main-DD, able to deal damage with normal attacks and ults.
FurinaHydroHydroSwordIf the captain has C1 and plays carefully, a team with Furina can do without a healer, dedicating the slot to an additional damage dealer or buffer. Shield and counterattacks will reduce incoming damage, and Hydro Archon will heal when needed with a Pneumusia swap.
NeuvilletteHydroHydroCatalystBeidou's ult is triggered by the hits of a charged attack, so it works with Nevillet's skills. The shield from C1 will improve resistance to interruption, which will make the game more comfortable.
Mona MonaHydroHydroCatalystWill increase damage due to Omen and aggro enemies on herself, increasing the survivability of the team.
YoimiyaPyroBowOne of the few Pyro damage dealers that plays well with Electro due to the shooting mechanic.
WandererAnemoCatalystAnemo damager. Thanks to her, he'll not only gain the ability to counter the Dispersion reaction, but also a buff from the Electro element.
EulaCryoCryoClaymoreA physical damage dealer with a Cryo element. The heroine will provide a reaction to Superconductor, increasing Aeola's damage.

Supports

Heroes needed to strengthen the squad, such as distributing shields or healing:

CharacterElementWeaponRecommendation
Lan YanAnemoAnemoCatalyst

The Constellation Captain doesn't need a shielder, but Lan Yan can serve as a good driver for her Elemental Burst.

BennettBennettPyroSwordHeals and buffs attack power. Thanks to the Captain's ultimate mechanic, the buff won't disappear even after Bennett's field wears off or the heroine herself is taken down.
DoriElectroClaymoreRestores energy to the active character.
KazuhaKazuhaAnemoAnemoSwordIncreases Electro damage, providing a significant increase in damage, and also groups enemies.
SucroseAnemoAnemoCatalystWill increase the skill of the elements, on C6 it will also increase the damage through the ult. Can play as a driver.
ZhongliZhongliGeoGeoPolearmWill provide the team with a shield and cut off the resistance of enemies to the Electro element.
BaizhuDendroCatalystWill heal the team and increase reaction damage for the active character.
KokomiKokomiHydroCatalystIn addition to healing, it will give a lot of Hydro status for the Charged reaction. Can wear the Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers and Tenacity of the Millelithto buff attack power.
XilonenGeoSwordOccupies two roles at the same time: healer and debuffer.

Alhaitham
Tighnari
BeidouFischlYaoyao
Baizhu
A team with Electro and Dendro Resonances. The two applicators deal passive damage and channel energy from each other. Yao Yao/Bai Zhu heal and buff the damager from the Resonance. A sword works well on the heroine in this team. Forest Regalia.

Yelan
Yaoyao
Baizhu
A squad of Vegetation and Stimulation. A Dendro support, who should also be a healer or shielder, works with a Hydro sub-DD to perform a Budding reaction. Saino detonates Dendro Cores. The captain helps with energy gain and protects against strong attacks.
Yae MikoBeidouKokomi
Xilonen
Kazuha
Venti
Yae Miko is the primary damage dealer. Kokomi uses her medusa to deal constant Hydro damage, helping to generate a Charged reaction, but this can be replaced with Shilonen. Kazuha buffs both elemental damage, and his ultimate is best upgraded to Hydro to gain more elemental skill.
SucroseBeidouFischlXingqiuSwirl and Charged team with epic heroes. Replacing Sucrose with another Anemo hero or Xingqiu with Yelan is undesirable, as either the damage of the team due to the loss of blows or its survivability will suffer from this.
YoimiyaBeidouFischlBennettOverloaded with Yoimiya. Due to the fact that Yoimiya moves back while shooting and does not need close range with enemies, repulsion of opponents will not worsen the comfort of the game. Pyro Resonance will increase the attack power of the entire squad, and Electro will make it easier to activate elemental bursts.
KleeKlee
Yanfei
BeidouVentiBennettBennett
Thoma
A team with Pyro Resonance from Overload. Venti is indispensable in this team, as only his ultimate can hold enemies down, preventing them from scattering. Pyro's damage dealer, the Catalyst, attacks enemies under the protection of a support and with lightning.
EulaBeidouMika
Yun Jin
Dori
Kuki
Team with physical Electro elemental damage dealer. Beidou helps with the creation of the Superconduct reaction, and with C1, it makes it easier to play thanks to the presence of a shield. In 3rd place, you can put almost any buffer or sub-dd, and between Dori or Kuki, Dori is preferable due to the mechanics of energy recovery during healing.
KeqingBeidouNahida

Xilonen
A Geo Resonance team that functions like a revolver. Zhongli/Shilonen protects the team and cuts down enemy resistance, while Albedo deals damage from the pocket and buffs Elemental Mastery.
Wanderer

Barbara
In this squad the girl is in dire need Favonius Greatsword, since she is the only Electro elemental hero in the squad and may experience problems with ult activation. Wanderer/Heizou attacks on the field, and the character on the 4th slot adds Hydro status for reactions and heals.
NeuvilletteFurinaBeidouFischl
Yae Miko
A team with Hydro and Electro Resonance. Thanks to the shield, Furina's healing when switching from Arche to Usia (she should be in Pneuma most of the time), and Nevilleth's self-heal, this team doesn't really need a healer. If survivability is an issue, it's recommended to put one in the 4th slot. Dori or Kuki.
LisaBeidouColleiBarbaraFree squad. Electro units assist each other with ultimate activation, Colléi deals passive damage and provides Dendro with the Stimulate and Vegetation status effects. Barbara heals and adds Hydro.

Skills

In battle, the captain uses a two-handed sword, which he uses elemental skill Deals a lot of electrical damage and absorbs enemy attacks, creating a shield and counterattacking. Elemental burst This allows the heroine to develop into a powerful sub-DD, inflicting Electro status with lightning bolts from her pocket, increasing her usefulness in triggering elemental reactions. At C0, the heroine is primarily a single-target damage dealer, but with a second or more constellations, she's also extremely effective against crowds of enemies.

Basic (Active) Skills

Let's look at the captain's active skills and how they are used in battle.

On the waves

  • Source: ATK.

Normal attack: Makes up to five non-compliances.

Charged Attack: Performs a series of attacks, followed by a powerful sword strike. During the combo, stamina is constantly drained.

Plunging Attack: falls rapidly to the ground, striking opponents.

wave call

  • Cooldown: 7.5 seconds
  • Source: ATK.

Tap: swings his sword, dealing Electro damage in front of him.

Hold: Raises her sword as a shield and absorbs damage based on her HP. After the skill is interrupted or damage is fully absorbed, she deals an Electro strike to the enemy. The damage of the charged skill depends on the number of hits absorbed—the maximum bonus is two strokes or using a counterattack for a minimum time after the enemy's strike. The sword's shield applies the Electro effect.

Stormbreaker

  • Duration: 15 seconds
  • Cooldown: 20 seconds
  • Enegry consumption: 80.

The skill creates a Thunder Shield around the captain, which persists when switching characters.

Thunderbeast's Targe: When hitting enemies with a normal or charged attack, it launches a chain lightning bolt that jumps from one enemy to the next, dealing Electro damage. A maximum of one bolt can be launched per second. Thunder Shield increases interrupt resistance.

Passive Skills

  • Significantly reduces the time it takes to activate a charged attack.
Guiding starBaseWhen you long press the elemental skill Wave Summon, even if you haven't received an attack, every 0,8 seconds it will grant 1 level of power, increasing damage during use.
Additionally, when Wave Summon, used with a long press, hits an enemy, different effects are activated based on the accumulated power: each level of power reduces the cooldown of the elemental skill by 4 seconds and also restores 8 energy. This effect can occur once every 15 seconds.
In addition, while in the Limit of the Guiding Star, Beidou enters the state of Radiance - Star Guide

Leveling Order

Elemental Burst (Q) > Elemental Skill (E) > n/a (optional).

  • Elemental Burst — the main source of elemental status, with the ability to impose a thin barrier and protect the active character from incoming damage.
  • Elemental Skill — is capable of dealing decent damage and absorbing incoming damage, so its level should be raised to at least level 6 after the ult.
  • Normal attack — can be upgraded at will, as they don't affect the heroine's cast itself.

Constellations

4Stunning RevengeWithin 10 sec. After taking damage, Beidou's normal attacks take an additional 20% Electro damage.
5Crimson TidewalkerIncreases the skill level of Stormbreaker by 3.

Best Beidou constellations are С1, С2 and С6.

  • The first constellation grants the ability to create a shield when activating an elemental burst, which absorbs incoming damage based on her health. This constellation will increase the overall survivability of the squad—she won't become a full-fledged shielder, but she will protect against a few hits.
  • The second constellation allows lightning bolts from the ultimate to jump to two additional enemies. This allows the captain to deal with crowds of enemies more quickly.
  • The sixth constellation reduces enemy resistance to Electro damage during the Elemental Burst. This constellation is especially useful if you have a second Electro unit in your party, as it will also increase their DPS.

How to play Beidou

Beidou in the bamboo forest

Beidou's abilities are designed in such a way that she only enters the battlefield to use her skills and then returns to her pocket. Despite this, her elemental skill It remains quite useful and can not only generate energy for the ultimate but also deal decent damage. Try to execute a perfect counterattack by releasing the E key immediately after the enemy hits to fulfill the passive's requirement and speed up stack generation.

After activating the elemental burst Switch to your primary damage dealer and strike with normal or charged attacks to trigger the ultimate's procs. This ability is quite useful against crowds of enemies, but it loses some effectiveness against bosses. Despite the ultimate's long range (for example, Yoimiya or Yanfei can easily trigger Overloaded while standing away from enemies), chain lightning only jumps between enemies located close to each other.

Also keep in mind that the captain's ultimate has a snapshot mechanic, meaning it "remembers" the character's stats upon activation and retains them for the entire duration. This means you should first apply all buffs and only then, before switching to your main damage dealer, activate the heroine's ultimate with all buffs.

Rotation

The order of actions: Using the abilities of other supports > Using the captain's elemental burst > Switching to the damage dealer > Returning to the heroine as needed.

Let's take a closer look at the rotation:

  1. Use your support's abilities to generate energy, provide shields, and provide necessary buffs.
  2. Switch to Beidou and activate her elemental burst.
  3. Switch to your primary damage dealer and deal damage with full-arms while your heroine's ultimate and the buffs from your supports are active. If during the fight an enemy is about to land a painful blow, switch to your captain and counterattack.
  4. Repeat from point one, periodically using the skill to restore energy and deal additional damage.

Character Summary

Beidou is an excellent 4-degree hero in Genshin Impact, who excels at sub-DPS roles in teams thanks to her Electro elemental interactions. Despite her simple mechanics, she can be a valuable asset to the team and dish out significant damage. However, she's quite challenging to build, requiring a careful balance of stats and energy regeneration without sacrificing damage, so it can be challenging to fully utilize her potential early on.

Can anyone describe what artwork should be used on Bei Doe, Escoffier, and ChiChu in a Sandrone squad? Are there any artwork changes? Bei Doe has Emblem for an hour. Escoffier has Golden Troupe. ChiChu doesn't need anything, maybe Milelita, since Molusk seems like the wrong variant for Sandrone.

It's better to wait for the support set in Snezhnaya. And if you really can't wait, well, who knows, maybe the ceremony of the ancient nobility.

What set should she build for Sandrone? Unlikely the emblem, her damage output won't be high there. Maybe the new Conduit set would be better? And wouldn't the attack damage trophy be better?

Right now, I think Ceremony is the best fit. Then the Snowball support set will arrive and it will need to be changed.

The Fleance detachment is quite demanding of energy, so it seems that fischl + sucrose or even cookies would be better for it

Nonsense. Beidou's ult procs max once per second. Fischl works better with Clorinda.
