In Genshin impact, Mahamatra General Cyno is a master of the spear, fighting as the main damage dealer of the Electro element. With the help of his ultimate, he summons a wolf spirit, with which he performs melee attacks, and therefore prefers to spend as much time as possible on the field. This style of gameplay requires the presence of pocket sub-DDs and supports for quick casting and imposition of conditions. He is mainly used to trigger reactions and teams up well with Dendro and Hydro characters.
He is built as a classic hyper-carry with an emphasis on elemental damage and crits. Triggering reactions also requires elemental mastery, but most often the general boosts this characteristic himself, going into the state of Pactsworn Pathclearer, and also receives it from supports. The hero's skills are suitable for those who prefer simple gameplay without constantly switching between heroes.

How to Get the Character

The character's next appearance is scheduled for the regional Sumeru Chronicled Wish, which will take place in the 6.0 update. His constellations (duplicates) can also be obtained in a limited time period.
To avoid missing the rerun, follow the updates on our banner schedule.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Cyno should be built as the main damage dealer of the group, focused on playing through reactions. Among his strengths , it's worth highlighting:
- When the hero ascends, he gets additional critical damage. This allows weapons and artifacts to be chosen for crit. chance, so you are able to gain this stat without compromising crit. damage.
- His elemental skill has a short cooldown: 7.5 seconds, and 3 seconds while his ult is active. In addition, the use of this skill prolongs the duration of the Pactsworn Pathclearer ultimate and deals Electro damage in an area.
- While his ult is active, boosts his own EM and resistance to interruption.
- Effectively teams up with Dendro characters.
Disadvantages:
- The hero is partly dependent on EM, which is designed to use reactions, mainly with Dendro. This somewhat limits the choice of allied squad members if the goal is to utilise the hero's full potential.
- The Pactsworn Pathclearer effect has a duration of 18 seconds, while most hero buffs and skills last no more than 10-12 seconds.
- Expensive ult (80 energy).
Best Cyno Builds in Genshin Impact
The build for Cyno should be aimed at dealing Electro Damage, so elemental damage, high crit chance and crit damage are a priority for him. The character also benefits greatly from EM, which opens up another avenue for building through reactions with other heroes.

- Energy recharge: 120 and more.
Top weapons
Among 5⭐ weapons you can choose the following:
| number | Name | Rarity | Base stats | Passive Effects |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | ![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base stat: 44-542 Critical Hit Chance 9.6%-44.1% | Increases the ATK bonus of the character equipped with this weapon by 52-104% of their elemental mastery. Hitting an enemy with an elemental skill grants the Dream of the Scarlet Sands for 10 sec: ATK bonus of the character equipped with this weapon is increased by 28-56% of EM. The effect stacks up to 3 times. Signature weapon with average base attack, but a large increase to crit. chance. Provides a stable bonus to ATK depending on the EM value, which also targets the game through elemental interactions. Top 1 for EM and reaction builds. |
| 2 | ![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base stat: 46-608 Critical Damage 14,4%-66,2% | Increases HP by 20-40%. Also provides an ATK bonus equal to 0,8-1,6% of the character's max HP equipped with this weapon. When the hero's health drops below 50%, their ATK is additionally increased by 1-1,8% of their max HP. One of the most versatile and best copies for main DD with excellent basic attack and high Crit DMG. Passively scaling attack with HP, but does not make the hero dependent on elemental mastery and thus allows you to play in various builds (not only from reactions). |
| 3 | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base stat: 48-674 Critical Hit Chance 4,8-22,1% | On hit increases ATK by 3,2-6% for 6 seconds. The effect can stack up to 7 times and appears no more than once every 0,3 seconds. At level 7, damage dealt is increased by 12-24%. Due to the fact that the gameplay is aimed at continuous damage, the spear bonus works stably, and the high base and crit chance in the main stat make it easier to balance between the necessary stats when selecting artifacts and a group. | |
| 4 | ![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base stat: 49-741 ATK 3,6%-16,5% | Gives 12-24% bonus for all elements. Launching an elemental skill applies Consummation for 20 sec, causing ATK to increase by 3,2-6,4% per second. Can stack up to 6 times. When a party member equipped with this weapon is not on the battlefield, the ATK bonus from Consummation is doubled. High ATK bonus and stable elemental damage increase. The weapon, although not aimed at heroes who are on the battlefield most of the time, still provides good buffs and will look quite good in the absence of other copies. |
| 5 | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base stat: 46-608 ATK 10,8%-49,6% | Increases shield durability by 20-40%. When hit, increases ATK by 4-8% for 8 seconds, the effect stacks up to 5 times and occurs once every 0,3 seconds. While under shield, the ATK bonus is increased by 100%. A specific but quite functional option that requires a shield before activating the elemental explosion for a 100% buff. Recommended for use only if there are no other alternatives or you prefer to play with shielders/Geo characters through Crystallize. | |
| 6 | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base stat: 48-674 Energy recharge 8%-36,8% | Increases crit chance by 8-16% and auto attack speed by 12%. When you hit with a normal or charged attack, you have a 50% chance to activate an intangible blade that deals 40-100% damage in a small radius. Can occur every 2 sec. Attacks under the ult are considered normal attacks converted to Electro, so the second part of the passive effect will allow you to deal additional damage to the area. The weapon also gives a small bonus to crit chance and attack speed, and energy recovery in the main stat will allow you to ult even more often (while 36.8% is enough for Cyno in the DD position to focus on crits and EM in artifacts). The best one among weapons for ER. | |
| 7 | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base stat: 46 ~ 608 Restore energy 12%-55,1% | ATK increases by 28-56% of energy recovery rate over 100%. Maximum bonus – 80-120%. When activating an Ultimate, energy regeneration is increased by 30% for 12 seconds. Potentially not the best option, despite the increase in energy recovery. Cyno is able to generate energy particles directly with his ult, and it is not advisable to focus on this stat, which is why the overall increase in damage becomes minimal. |
To select equipment for other characters, use weapons tier list.
Best 4⭐weapons:
| number | Name | Rarity | Base stats | Passive Effects |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base stat: 44-510 Critical Hit Chance 6%-27.6% | If there are at least 3 characters of different elements in the squad, EM increases by 120-240. The best epic spear. Gives all the necessary stats: crit. chance, EM, ATK. Due to the fact that the hero often plays in Hyperbloom squads, where there are also Hydro and Dendro characters, he will easily get an increase to EM. However, for mono-elemental packs, the spear is worse. | |
| 2 | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base stat: 41-454 Critical Hit Chance 8%-36,8% | If there are 2 or more enemies nearby, ATK and defense increase by 16-32%; if there are less than 2 enemies nearby, ATK increases by 24-48%. A weapon from the Battle Pass that allows you to balance crits and increases ATK when there are from / to 2 enemies on the battlefield. Although the spear has a low BUZ, this can be compensated for by additional sources of increasing ATK in the squad. | |
| 3 | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base stat: 42-510 Critical Damage 12-55,1% | Defeating an enemy grants additional 12-24% to ATK. Lasts 30 sec. and can be stacked up to 3 times. The duration of the added effects is independent of the others. Can be obtained almost for free for Starglitter, while the weapon gives a large bonus to crits and passively increases ATK for each enemy killed. The weapon is suitable for active gameplay, but at the same time situational. For example, in battles with bosses or on some floors of the Abyss, the passive effect will not work. | |
| 4 | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base stat: 44–565 Elemental Mastery 24–110 | Elemental skill power increases by 6-12%. Successfully attacking an enemy with an E will take away 3 energy, but restore 3-5 energy every 2 seconds for 6 seconds. The effect does not trigger more than once every 10 seconds, even when the character is not on the field. A crafted spear from Inazuma with a good base, a bonus to EM and a passive increase to energy. Increases the damage of the elemental skill, which the hero uses quite often, especially with the Thundering Fury set. | |
| 5 | ![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base stat: 42-510 ATK 9%-41,4% | Within 10 sec. after activating an elemental reaction, ATK is increased by 12-24%, and elemental mastery by 48-96. Free weapon that could be obtained as part of the main event in the patch 3.1 , Of Ballads and Brews. The spear, like the signature one, encourages triggering reactions, but at the same time increases ATK. The bonus is stable, and awakenings are easy to obtain. |
| 6 | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base stat: 41-454 Elemental Mastery 48-221 | Increases by 20-36% damage against enemies affected by Hydro or Pyro elements. Not a bad option if this spear has the 5th Awakening and you plan to play off Hyperbloom, Charged, or Overloaded reactions when you have supports with abilities that work even out of the battlefield (for example, with Xingqiu, Yelan, Xiangling). | |
| 7 | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base stat: 42-510 Energy recharge 10%-45,9% | Using an elemental skill increases your normal or charged attack by 8-16% within 12 sec. The effect can stack up to 2 times. Craftable, free weapon with an average base for an epic. If you have at least one spear, you can give it to General Mahamatra for a stable bonus to energy and ATK recovery both during and outside of the ult. | |
| 8 | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base stat: 44–565 Elemental Mastery 24–110 | Elemental Reactions with Dendro creates a Leaf of Revival next to the character that lasts for 10 seconds. The leaf increases the ATK of the hero who picks it up by 16-32% for 12 seconds. Any character from the squad can pick up the Leaf of Revival. The effect does not trigger more than once every 1 seconds. It does occur, but only in squads with Dendro characters. Compared to the Kitain Cross Spear, the Moonpiercer is a less stable variant due to being more situational and conditional, despite similar core stats. |
Best 3⭐ spears to start the game or as a transitional option:
| number | Name | Rarity | Base stats | Passive Effects |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | ⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base stat: 39–401 Critical Hit Chance 5,1% –23,4% | Increases normal attack damage by 24% –48%. One of the best early game spears with a bonus to auto attacks, which the hero actively uses in the ult. The spear can be obtained for free by opening chests in the Liyue region. | |
| 2 | ⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base stat: 40–448 ATK 5,1% –23,4% | Normal hits deal additional damage 160-320% damage. Can only occur once per 1 seconds. Just like the Tassle, drops from chests. A little worse due to the fact that it does not give any bonuses to crits, but quite a good initial spear with additional damage from regular hits. |
Choosing Artifacts
Artifacts for Cyno are selected with an emphasis on his build and gameplay.
- For example, when playing via reactions , it is best to consider sets that increase EM or provide bonuses from interactions between elements.
- If you prefer to play off his own damage without relying on the rest of the team, it is recommended to select artifacts that grant direct increase. It is important to take into account the characteristics of the character. Let's say the character spends most of the time in the ult and uses regular attacks, in this case it's better to use the Gladiator’s Finale.
| number | Name | The set is | Rarity | Effects |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Thundering Fury | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 Piece: +15% Electro damage. 4 Piece: Increases the Overloaded, Charged, Superconduct and Hyperbloom reaction damage by 40%. Damage from the Aggravate reaction increases by 20%. When these reactions are activated, as well as Quicken, the cooldown of the elemental skill is reduced by 1 sec. The effect can occur no more than once every 1 sec. Increases elemental damage and enhances all reactions involving Electro, in addition, when these reactions are activated, the cooldown of E decreases, which in itself has a fairly fast cooldown (7.5 without the ult and 3 sec. with it). | |
| 2 | Gilded Dreams | ![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 Piece: Elemental Mastery +80 4 Piece: For 8 sec. after trigerring an elemental reaction, the equipping character receives the following buffs, depending on the elements of their team members:
Provides useful buffs from both two pieces and the full set, increasing elemental mastery and ATK depending on the element of allied heroes in the team. It is recommended to have at least 1 hero of the same element, so as not to lose the extra bonus to ATK, since EM is initially present in two parts of the set. |
| 3 | Gladiator’s Finale | ![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 Piece: +18% attack power. 4 parts: +35% normal attack damage if the character uses a one-handed, two-handed or polearm. If you don't play based on reactions and want to increase Cyno's own damage, this set will be one of the best for him. Since the hero is in the ult most of the time and uses auto attacks, he will get a constant +35% damage. In addition, the additional ATK will not be superfluous. |
| 4 | Gladiator’s Finale / Gilded Dreams / Wanderer's Troupe / Flower of Paradise Lost / Thundering Fury | ![]() ![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2+2 sets depending on the builds (ATK+Electro damage, EM+EM, EM+Electro damage, etc.). It is recommended to use as a transitional option until parts of a full set of Gilded Dreams or Thundering Fury are farmed. |
| 5 | Martial Artist | ![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 Piece: Increases attack power by 18%. 4 Piece: Increases Normal and Charged Attack Power by 25% for 8 sec after using an Elemental Skill. A good set at the start of the game and can be effectively used until rank 45 or until you get your first legendary artifacts. |
Teams
Cyno's teams are built around his Electro element, making him synergize well with Dendro to create strong Catalyze. But there are other ways to build teams depending on the other members. If you have leveled up Hydro heroes, you can also use the Charged reaction in Taser teams with Hydro or Overloaded with Pyro.
Recommended characters
The greatest synergy is achieved with the following heroes:
| Character | Element | Weapon | Effects |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Secondary Electro DPS for a team, contributes additional passive damage with elemental skill totems for 14 sec. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Like Columbine, it transforms Charged into Moon Charged, but serves different functions in the squad. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | One of the best supports for extra energy and resonance. Can act as an ATK buffer and wear the Tenacity of the Millelith. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Since General Mahamatra's Ultimate damage is considered normal attacks, Beidou's Elemental Burst works quite effectively with him. At C6, she also reduces enemies' Electro Resistance by 15%. The only problem may arise with the fact that both of these characters have an expensive ultimate. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | A free hero that is available from the start and at the same time looks good both in the support-dd position (if there are constellations) and support-battery. Lisa can also wear the Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers and thereby buff your core. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Can be used both for recharging ult and resonance, and for healing if necessary. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Similarly, Kuki is a good Electro healer for a single target and a battery for a faster energy gain. |
![]() | ![]() | Significantly increases Dendro reactions and gives a large amount of strong elemental status for 25 seconds. This is enough for the entire duration of Cyno's ult, thanks to which he will be able to inflict increased damage during the entire stance. | |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | If you're playing Quicken rather than Hyperbloom and are primarily focusing on bursting buds, it might make sense to consider the Priestess over Nahida. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | In a Dendro team, is an effective and at the same time a budget option. Has a passive talent Verdant Overgrowth, which increases elemental mastery, and the 6th constellation will give a 12% bonus to the elements when this element affects the Lea Lotus Lamp (ult). |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | A good partner in the game through the Catalyze reaction. At the 4th constellation, she will increase elemental mastery. |
![]() | ![]() | Dendro applicator and healer in one. Will heal and support Dendro status on enemies for Quicken. | |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Increases overall damage dealt with Omen (ultimate), applies Hydro status to reactions, and can distract enemies with an elemental skill. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Converts Charged reaction to Lunar Charge. Saino focuses on Elemental Mastery, so he excels in Lunar teams, where this stat is important. |
![]() | ![]() | Pocket damage dealer/healer and buffer. Operates off max HP and health level changes. | |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | An excellent ally in squads through the Charged or Hyperbloom reactions. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | A more expensive version of Xingqiu, with less Hydro Status but higher damage. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | In taser squads (Electro + Hydro) is a practically indispensable source of healing. Can also deal damage with her ult. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | For a squad through Overloaded, deals passive damage with her ult and elemental skill. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Support for an Overloaded squad. Increases attack power, reduces resistance to Pyro and Electro, and also periodically heals. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Good crowd control, boosting elemental mastery and cutting enemy elemental resistance with the Viridescent Venerer. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Just like Sucrose, will provide control over enemies and give a bonus to elemental damage for 8 seconds. At the same time, he is able to Swirl and attack more effectively. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Grants a buff to the normal attacks that Cyno actively uses during his ultimate for 12 seconds. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Will provide a strong shield, cut elemental resistance in a certain radius. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Useful for Cyno due to the bonus to elemental mastery from activating the ult and can wear the Archaic Petra, which will give an increase to the damage from the elements used in the Crystallize reaction. |
Optimal Teams
The most effective teams are:
| Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 | Character 4 | Features |
|---|---|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | A group with Hyperbloom, where the main focus is not on the general's personal damage, but on the cores detonated by his Electro attacks. Dendro Resonance will increase the entire group's Elemental mastery, and Hydro sub-DD will provide stable status. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Although Cyno was designed as a Spread and Hyperbloom-based fighter, his Elemental mastery scaling makes him a perfect fit for Lunar-Charged teams. In such a composition, he'll receive all the necessary bonuses from his allies and deliver a solid performance. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | Aggravate/Hyperbloom team:
| |
![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | Aggravate team with Dendro and Electro resonances:
| ||
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Aggravate team with Electro and Dendro resonances:
|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | Another variation of an Aggravate squad:
|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Bloom/Hyperbloom + Charged:
|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | An analogy of the previous build, but without specific resonances and with more emphasis on security and stability. Zhongli will also lower the elemental resistance of enemies. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Team that buffs Cyno's normal attacks used while his ult is active:
| |
![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | Standard build via reaction Charged:
|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | Alternative command via reaction Charged:
|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | Squad option via mono-Electro with Swirl/Charged
|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | An Aggravate team, where the DD gets the maximum buff to attacks during the ult due to the Dendro reaction, the strengthening of normal attacks from Yun Jin's ult, cutting off resistances from Zhongli's shield and increased defense. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | A variant of the squad through Aggravate, where DD with the help of supports gets a good bonus to elemental mastery and Electro damage. In the last slot you can put a Geo character for resonance and additional buffs. For example, Zhongli (with Tenacity of the Millelith) or Yun Jin. In this case, Albedo is recommended to wear the Archaic Petra for maximum efficiency. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | An Overloaded team, although less effective than all the others, has a place if desired. In this case, with Sara's C6, the main DD will receive a high increase in overall damage. Although positionally, this group is also difficult to implement due to the fact that you often have to move around the battlefield and, accordingly, leave Bennett's circle. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | F2P build for early-mid game via Aggravate, Charged, Hyperbloom with certain conditions. Already at this stage Lisa or Barbara can wear the Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers and additionally increase ATK. |
These are just examples of possible setups. If necessary, certain characters can be replaced with similar ones in mechanics, elements and role in the team.
Extra Stats For Leveling
In addition to the main stats in the form of base HP, ATK and defense, when the hero ascends, critical damage is scaled.
| Level | Base HP | Basic attack | Base DEF | Base Crit Damage % | Crit. Damage % from ascension |
| 1 | 972 | 24 | 66 | 50% | 0% |
| 20 | 3 356 | 85 | 230 | 50% | 0% |
| 40 | 5 614 | 142 | 386 | 50% | 9,6% |
| 50 | 7 249 | 184 | 498 | 50% | 19,2% |
| 60 | 8 695 | 221 | 598 | 50% | 19,2% |
| 70 | 10 149 | 258 | 698 | 50% | 28,8% |
| 80 | 11 612 | 295 | 798 | 50% | 38,4% |
| 90 | 12 490 | 318 | 859 | 50% | 38,4% |

Skills
Cyno is a main damage dealer that mainly uses elemental damage. His Elemental Skill is an Electro attack, it receives additional buffs when the ultimate ability is activated. His Elemental Burst mechanics is similar to Xiao и Itto's ults, since under its effect the spearman also converts all types of damage into elemental and receives bonuses to damage.
Next, we will analyze the operating principle of all skills and the recommended order of leveling.
Basic (Active) Skills
When performing auto attacks, deals up to 4 spear strikes.
When charging, charges forward, consuming stamina. With a plunging attack, flies down rapidly and deals area damage to all enemies in his path.
Dashes forward and deals Electro damage.

If the skill is used while the Pathsworn Pathclearer (Ultimate) state is active, a Mortuary Rite is activated, which also deals AoE Electro damage and extends the Ultimate's duration.
Cooldown time: 7,5 seconds.
Enters the Pactsworn Pathclearer state and converts damage from normal, charged, and falling attacks into Electro damage. While doing so, he gains the following effects:
- Increase EM by 100.
- Increasing resistance to interruption.
- Gains immunity to Electro-Charged DMG.
The effect lasts for 18 seconds and disappears when you switch characters.
Base duration: 10 seconds. Cooldown time: 20 seconds. Energy consumption: 80.
Passive Skills
| Talent | Effect |
|---|---|
| The Gift of Silence | Gains 20% more rewards when dispatched on a Sumeru Expedition for 25 hours. |
| Featherfall Judgment | If Cyno activates his elemental skill while his ult is active, he will receive the effect of Judication:
|
| Authority Over the Nine Bows | Increases Cyno's following damage based on his Elemental Mastery:
|
Talent Leveling Order
When upgrading skills, it is recommended to prioritize them as follows:
- We level all abilities side-by-side to 6.
- Then we give priority to elemental burst and elemental skill.
- Lastly, we level auto attacks.
Constellations
| number | Name | Effects |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ordinance: Unceasing Vigil | Requires the Featherfall Judgement passive talent to be unlocked. After using Sacred Rite: Wolf's Swiftness, Cyno's Normal Attack SPD will be increased by 20% for 10s. If the Judication effect of his Passive Talent Featherfall Judgment is triggered during Secret Rite: Chasmic Soulfarer, the duration of this increase will be refreshed. |
| 2 | Ceremony: Homecoming of Spirits | If Cyno hits an enemy with a normal attack, he gains +10% Electro damage for 4 seconds. Bonuses are given no more than once every 1 sec. and stack up to 0,1 times. |
| 3 | Precept: Lawful Enforcer | Increases elemental burst level by 3. Max. level: 15 |
| 4 | Austerity: Forbidding Guard | When Cyno is in the Pactsworn Pathclearer state triggered by Sacred Rite: Wolf's Swiftness, after he triggers Electro-Charged, Lunar-Charged, Superconduct, Overloaded, Quicken, Aggravate, Hyperbloom, or an Electro Swirl reaction, he will restore 3 Elemental Energy for all nearby party members (except himself.) This effect can occur 5 times within one use of Sacred Rite: Wolf's Swiftness. |
| 5 | Funerary Rite: The Passing of Starlight | Increases elemental skill level by 3. Max. level: 15 |
| 6 | Raiment: Just Scales | Requires the Featherfall Judgement passive talent to be unlocked. Using Sacred Rite: Wolf's Swiftness (Elemental Blast) or activating Judication effect of the Passive Talent Featherfall Judgment will grant Cyno 4 levels of Day of the Jackal:
|
Best constellations of Cyno are C1, C2 and C4:
- The first constellation will complement the hero perfectly, especially if you are going to use him as a main core. Increases the speed of strikes under the ult, which increases the overall damage inflicted and refreshes the duration of the Judication (passive talent Featherfall Judgement) when it is activated.
- The second constellation gives a bonus to Electro damage when using auto attacks. In addition, the effect stacks, so you can get up to 50% additional damage.
- The fourth constellation restores energy to the squad if Cyno activates elemental reactions during his ult. Although the buff does not affect the spearman himself, it is a great team bonus that will allow the same supports to accumulate energy for the ult faster.
How to play Cyno

Cyno's abilities are most fully revealed in combination with Dendro. He can also participate in Charged and Overloaded, or in Superconduct with Cryo. But in the latter case, the hero is not recommended to be used, since his gameplay is focused on inflicting elemental damage. However, the character can play both from reactions if built into EM, and also deal his own damage with maximum crit rates, attack power and buffs from supports.
The Spearman's Primary Ability is his elemental burst. It is used while his ult is active (same as Itto or Xiao) the character will be in it most of the time. Therefore, the main task is to gain energy for the ultimate as quickly as possible, activate all possible buffs and then press the super ability, being under its effect until the end (since when switching, the effect disappears).
Rotation
- We use the general's elemental ability until the ult is charged.
- We activate skills and buffs from supports.
- We switch back to Cyno and use his ult.
- While the ult is active, use an elemental skill once every 3 seconds, thereby extending the effect of the ultimate to 18 seconds.
It is also worth noting, if you have the passive talent Featherfall Judgment unlocked, activating an E during the ultimate will increase the damage of the elemental skill by another 35% and will release 3 additional Duststalker Bolts.
Is The Character Worth Pulling?

Cyno is a fairly strong Electro damage dealer in Genshin Impact, although, like most heroes of this element, he is situational. However, thanks to the buffs from EM, he plays very well in teams with Dendro reactions, including taser groups through Charged or even Overloaded (but more niche). However, it should be borne in mind that the hero can play the dps role only, since he spends most of his time in the ult, the effect of which disappears when you switch the character.

My squad consists of Saino S2, Xin Qiu S6, and Lauma. Shinobi is in the last slot, but is she suitable? Maybe it would be better to get Ineffa or someone else for him?
Would the following squad suit him: Saino, Xingqiu, Tignari, Zhongli?
Tignari won't be played much in this squad because he's a damage dealer, but if you consider him from that perspective, it would be better to replace Saino in this squad with Fishl/Kuki/Yae Miko/Raiden/Ineffa/Liza/Dori/Ororon. If you want to see Saino as a damage dealer, it would be better to replace Tignari with Yao Yao/Dendro GG/Laumu/Bai Ju/Nahida/Kolley (some of them might not be suitable, because I don't remember how they play).
I'm not very familiar with the site; optimal stat values for artifacts are written for the saino stats or for artifact descriptions (stats that artifacts add).
Hello, I'm not very familiar with the characters' functions, so I was thinking of putting together a squad of Saino, Kaveh, Venti, and Zhongli, but I'm not sure if that's a good idea. Could you please tell me who I could replace him with? It would be preferable for Kaveh to remain in the squad.
Replace Kaveha with Yao Yao/Laumu/Nahida/Dendro GG/Kolley/Bai Ju, and it might be better to replace Venti with Sukrose/Kadzuha for the extra MC (I don't know how Venti is played, so I could be wrong)
For Saino's C1, who plays Dendro and Electro, is Kite or Wind Message R5 better? And for Saino with Buds (with Lauma), what would you recommend?
